Although I don't currently "cloud chase", I will say that each one of us need certian things to keep us off analogs. That said, they all have a place given the obvious safety aspects. The one thing we all have in common is no more stinkies!

And we don't blow smoke, it's vapor!

I've heard about the lack of warning/info included with the atlantis tank and agree the safety aspect should be included whith the product.
However, I take issue with your discription of "lazy noobs". Everyone of us were noobs at some point. We choose our path as we learn what works for us. Unfortuinately if we call ppl lazy because they are new, they likely won't ask questions to learn the important facts that go along with a product like this. Our goal should be focused on education for all. Promoteing that for the new members/vapers. I don't meen to rant, just would hate to see a guest/lurker to feel like they can't ask a question for fear of being labled.

As for me, I feel better now that I vape! I know the studies are still going on when it comes to vapeing, but the studies are long since in on analogs..... and it leads to death! I like to think that worse case it's not perfect, but I still feel better than I did before I switched! It goes beyond the act itself, I don't have the stress "knowing" that every time I lit an analog it was just one more nail..... I think we have some room to improve when it comes to vapeing, but that's just another step farther down the right path!

As always is the case over time we start with warnings about what is bad for us..... then, after a few years it's not so bad, or even worse then we were told.... Eggs were bad, now good... you name it. Drugs get passed, then class action lawsuits and an apology so to speek from the FDA.... At the end of the day we all know what makes us feel good and bad. We make choices, I've made several bad ones. The one good choice I can point to is vapeing instead of smokeing analogs. I was like most that never thought it was possible, it is as we've found possible! I welcome common sense regs to keep things safe for everyone. Beyond that I'd consider poor oversight/regulation.

fishguy1123 got a reaction from GeorgeF in Questions about dripping...
Welcome, so the basics go something like this....

With an RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer) you will need to wrap your own coils and install and wick (place cotton typicaly) through and around them in some way to allow the liquid to absorb. You will need something to check the resistance (Ohms) of the coils you build are, as well as an understanding of the limits of the device/batteries you use to run it. Simple Ohms calculators are free and easy on android phones.

Without knowing what device you plan on useing in the future, or your liquid spec (nic, pg/vg etc..) I can only say that while useing RDA's it's common to reduce the nic level to 3 or 6mg even if you use 12+ in tanks.

Others will likely chime in with more info, but please be sure all your questions are answered in some way before you start on that path. It's more about education than it is difficult. Good luck to you!

RMS is a better way to guage the power you use/need to adjust to taste.

I will however take this time to remind you about the drug talk/device issues on this forum.

We're happy to help with any vape related questions, however alternative uses will not be allowed.

I don't want to seem harsh, just want to see you get started on the right foot here....

A mech mod is not really a requirement for a sub ohm build, but any regulated device will need the ability to power it at the sub ohm level you choose. In other words, it will likely be an apv (higher end) type. With a little info and basic skills you should be able to use rba's without a problem on your vamo or other similar devices.

In my case I wanted to quit analogs for obvious reasons after 20 some years, but also to adjust my budget. I started with an itaste vv3 and then picked up a cheap clone evod batt as a back up. I managed to break my v3 (my fault) and bought a vision spinner 2, then most recently an Itaste mvp 2. All in all I find I don't need more than what these have given me. As far as tanks go, I have simple evod, kpt2 mini and most recently a Ehpro clone of the kayfun lite+ (rta). I bought it with two things in mind, 1- it was under $30. 2- I don't mind building my own coils if it meens I can save money. So far I've been able to do that, but my goal wasn't to keep up with the cool ppl, it was only to keep myself on track to stay off analogs! At the end of the day, that's what matters. We all find or goal in our own way, and it's a beautiful thing!

You are exactly right! I have never used that feature, but will now that you pointed it out, I never realized it did that.

Please don't think I was referring to you Earthling!

It seems like every one I meet on the streets using a mvp gets this wrong! I have only encountered 3. 2 were B&M employees, and 1 a hotel clerk. Each one had a nautilus on them and I asked them what settings they are running them on. The guy I asked at the vape shop a few weeks ago told me he was running 5volts and 8watts. I had my app on my phone, so I asked him where he got a 3ohm coil for a nautilus. He said it isn't it is a 1.8 ohm. I just had to smile. The guy next to me kinda snickered under his breath....

I was doing a favor for a friend and thought others may benefit from this. I took pics as went to help it make sense.

I know some of you rebuild your Kanger coils as do I. I have 4 ATM in my rotation that I have been dry burning and rewicking since April. All of them are still going strong and have not had to replace them yet. I have a build that I do that is durable, produces nice vapor, and good flavor. It is a 1.2-3ohm bulid using Twisted 32g round and .5 Flat wire @ 8x7 wraps. This twist is a mico tiger coil that will fit in a Kanger head and be usable on most any battery safely.

To do the coil you will need:
    32g Kanthal
    0.5 Kanthal
    16g blunt needle
Electric Drill (To twist the wire)
    Tweezers (for crimping)

If you do not already build coils or are wanting a further explanation on this, I will do a step by step, pic by pic on building the coil later.

Once you have a rebuilt coil, the trick in keeping it going is the re wicking. I do not advise this for a OEM Kanger head. You will find it difficult and in most cases end up damaging the coil anyway. This is meant for a rebuilt head and in most cases uses a heaver gauge wire Kanthal than the OEMs.

    Lets get started.

To rewick the coil you will need:

    Tweezers
    Organic Cotton or Japanese Cotton
    E-Liquid or straight PG VG

This coil is one that I just built and dry burning is not needed. If you are doing a rewick take your tweezers and carefully, pull out the old wick. Some times the wick can be fuzed to the coil with gunk. In this case, just burn off the old wick as you will be replacing it anyway.

Remove a small amount of Cotton from your cotton ball

Roll it loosely on one end roll it tight to make it easy to thread into the coil

Take your tweezers and pull it through the coil making sure it moves freely but not loose. If it is to loose you will get leaking. If it is to tight it will not wick well and you will get dry hits. NOTE: Pay close attention to the coil and make sure it is not touching the side of the coil head. This will cause a short.

Trim off the excess cotton on the end you used to thread the cotton in the coil. Cut it off at the edge of the coil head.

Once this is done take the longer end and fold it over the on top of the coil. This will be your favor wick. If you have used to much cotton it will cause a harder draw when complete. Sometimes you need to twist it a bit so it fits nicely in the grove of the head. Make sure when you fold it to leave extra cotton beyond the coil head. This will be trimmed later.

NOTE: This is when you want to juice up the wick. take a few drops and wet the wick. This will do two things. It will prime the wick. and protect it from burning off with the first couple hits. It can also help in folding the wick and placing it in the coil head groove.

Now place your chimney back on the head. This will hold your flavor wick in place.

Now it is time to trim up the wick. Trim both sides of the wick using your edge of the coil head as your guide.

Your done install the newly rewicked coil and Vape.
