Sorry to hear this happened right out of the gate for your daughter. It's good to see you and her haven't given up over it. These things can/do happen sometimes. As you mentioned, having a back up or even more than one is important to have to keep things on the right track. Doesn't mean it has to be expensive, just something to get her by until she can get another to replace what she likes.

From the quick google search, the triton kit is basically a form of ego style battery with clearomizer tanks included. I can promise you that the difference between this kit and the atlantis/cf mod combo is night and day! Try the halo kit, let us know what you like and if you have any questions let us know asap so we can help walk you through them.

I'm by no means am saying you bought something bad, a lot of times the first few days for a new vaper can make or break their success simply due to the fact that it's a new concept for them. Lets get you up and running well and see what makes sense after that.

Nah, we've seen lots of new vapers who are even more of a noob than you. LOL

Here's lesson one: It's vaping, nothing to do with smoking at all. We vape, it's vapor (not smoke). Smoking consists of burning something. We use e-cigarettes that heat the liquid but it doesn't burn it. If it burns, you're doing it wrong and need to turn down the settings.

    Welcome to Vapor Talk.

Welcome! You ask and you will get a lot of helpful responses for our members. How has it worked for you so far?

BTW, my first post here was a week before I even bought a disposable gas station ecig... That's how noob I was. :P

I only have a kpt2 mini and original evods. Bought for the sole purpose of being able to share the same coil heads. My question is if the description on the VT site is based on what our members/individuals have tried and worked for them, or is it official Kanger language/specs? I'd have to recommend only using Kanger specs for the descriptions and let the members use as they see fit. At least then if a customer (VT member or not) wants to order them they have a good chance to get the original spec coils.

It has to be a pita to keep up with all the new designs in such a short amount of time for both vendors and consumers!

I think given the fact that the iStick fires high compared to other vv/vw devices you may in fact be at a similar "sweet spot" to what others see around 3.7-4 volts with the 1.8 ohm coil heads. I know my kpt2 mini rarely handles over 4 volts for me as well.

First off, I'd like to thank you for your service to your community! I have family and friends on our local FD and I know how much courage it takes to do what you do.

I think if you bought the istick you would be happy with the performance as well as the size (to keep things out of sight). Although I don't have one, the nautilus mini or full size seem to get great reviews from a ton of ppl.

I also agree with the "stealth vapeing" idea. The best part is for you, if you are off duty/home you don't have to. It changes nothing other than what you or others see as far as the vapor is concerned.

Bottom line, go for it! Good luck sir!

First off hats off for comp. What a marvelous complex tasty as all get out juice. In my setup the flavors are truly amazing. The way the 3 key flavors work together dragon fruit, strawberry, and cream mix to create the well rounded juice that is with basically no aging time is insane its perfect straight out of the bottle. Love the way the flavor changes on me everytime. One time in getting a strawberry heavy cream malt shake. The next time I'm getting transported off to the land of dragons and wizards, I don't mean them harry potter wizards either. When that dragon fruits hits you with a hint of cream strawberry after tones its equivalent to the angel and demons annual gang bang of the masses. Once again comp aims high on the bar and far surpasses that mark. He is clearly the master alchemist.

Ps comp you have just replaced my first love...fairy dust elixir

Welcome! It sounds like you have made quick progress on the learning curve of beginning to vape. Already seen the need, and purchased a backup was absolutely the right thing to do! Congrats on great start to your journey. Having a trusted local Vape shop is fantastic. You may find that online prices may be better for many items. Let us know if we can help with anything.

From what I've seen over the past few months here, no matter what your vapeing style may be, the only 2 common denominators are that you are able to enjoy a better way of life than when on analogs and that you are safe while doing it. Whatever that is for someone, the goal is to be better off than we were with analogs! The fact that any member would show concern for another is exactly why we joined VT in the first place. To learn, share, and keep on the road to a better way of life.

I do realize there are many who enjoy blowing clouds. The point I was trying to make, and you evidently missed, is that not "everyone" or even "most everyone" (as you asserted), has to gravitate toward cloud blowing just because they took up vaping. Some people do and they enjoy it. Great. More power to them, I just hope they're taking the proper safety precautions. Others might not feel the need nor want to blow clouds even if they can. That's why there are tanks, RDAs, RBAs, RTAs, atomizers, cartomizers and a whole host of different delivery systems available. Isn't it great that we can like what we like and not have to do what "everyone" else does?

Kanthel wire comes in different gauges.. like 27g 26g 24g, etc. The lower the gauge the thicker the wire, and lower resistance.. Higher gauge like 28g 30g 32g are thinner wires and offer higher resistance.. The first thing I do would is check the ohm limit on the batt to be used, and determine what wire/build would be safe ...I use 26g a lot but sometimes use 24g..parallel builds is two wires wrapped side by side but keep in mind it cuts resistance in half compared to a single wire wrapped the same amount of turns on the same dia bit...always use a ohm meter to check the resistance on your build and use a ohms law calculator to see what power requirement is needed..(several available online as a download ) Ohms law is always applied to be sure these builds don't exceed the amp limits on the batt being used.
Safety involved in building requires a understanding of basic electronics, a working knowledge of ohms law and an accurate ohm meter...
It can seem intimidating at first but in time building safely will come a lot easier, and blow clouds that have to be seen to be believed ...lol

How much do/did you smoke analogs? How long have you been doing it? When you googled ecigs or vapeing what else did you find besides the "Chinese invented it"? What do you use to vape with, if you vape? Ok, that's probably enough questions for now. Welcome to VT!

Given the fact that you have an ohm meter in the pic, wouldn't it make sence to post the reading on it from the tank/coil? Anyone who has bought pre-made coils has had some level of wonky things show up, but 2, 6+ ohm coils is a first for me.... How would they even fit that inside the head?
