Anyone else just want to talk about mods they own?

Recommended Posts

OK so it camr up in anot7dib forum... There's no general mod sub forum.. Like wat kind of battery do I use with my nemi with the coils I built at. .5 ohms... Or how do I get my lock Un locked... (jammed lock try rubber gloves.. Saved me!).. Ect.. So let's talk here till something like a general mod sub forum appears?

I agree we need a forum and sub-forums on mechanical mods, possibly laid out something like these. They are easy to navigate and takes us to exactly the help we are looking for..just a suggestion..4690871453bce97fda659c1c2161a74c.jpg708f521717dc2d566d45b13ef569bf27.jpg

Nice to see some real numbers for once.

What charger you using to get 4.22V?

XTAR VC2

Strange part is, it is supposed to cut off at 4.20. The reading came from my Fluke, not the charger itself.

I like it that way, those over hyped Nitecores always undercharge.

That's well within spec.

Most datasheets list:

Standard charge CCCV, 1A, 4.20 ± 0.05 V,

Today's batteries are quite robust and cheap (compared to when I started), may as as well fully charge them.

Voltage drop on two BFM's, with 28.5 mm Stillare and 22mm Zenith with same parallel 26g dual coil builds at .16 ohms in both, producing about 110 watts..

1) copper BFM

4.21v without Atty

3.75 with Atty at .16 ohms = about .46v

drop firing both coils

2) stainless BFM

4.2 v without Atty

3.61 with Atty at .16 ohms = about .59v

drop firing both coils

Both using the 26650 Efest batt rated at

32A cont /64A pulse..Both use hybrid top caps and copper/brass magnetic switches with recessed copper buttons/contacts..Just got the all copper 18650 XXIX with the same features but haven't checked actual voltage drop because it hits just as hard as its bigger brothers. All three are from Bay City Vapor, made here in Southern CA 314c83649471c875611140c8ef57267e.jpg

Since yall did it. Had me wondering what mine was doing.

Testing clone brass stingray with silver contacts. Running a fresh vtc4

Battery at 4.18

.24ohm build....my personal sweet spot

W/O atty 4.18

W/Atty 3.78

1.2ohm build....highest I'll go on a mech

4.18 W/O Atty

4.02 W/Atty

All in all not bad for a old clone mech

Now that there is one, what all do you have planned to do with it? :)

Learn more about my favorite mechanical mods, of course...

How about you? Do you own a mechanical mod? Have you ever sub- ohm vaped on one before? Did you like it? Can you post a pic of your favorite mech if you own one? Any problems with it? etc, etc...That's only some of the things we can discuss on this new mech forum, and it should give you some insight...lol

I'd have to say when it comes to mech sub ohm builds my personal sweet spot is between .24-.28ohms. Not supper big clouds but not tiny either. And great flavor considering I have a ton of airflow on my drippers.

I hear ya; but I like blowing clouds, and my builds usually run between .16 -.12 ohms.. I too get plenty of airflow on my RDA's that let's me blow clouds like these..9f8d39e91f4c40e5230b1ea12008f3db.jpg Edited by smacksy
