  1. Yay! That's pretty much how i felt when i got my mother to start (she had been smoking for 50+ years) Hopefully she is able to also see a health improvment and added years to her life!
  2. Wonder why so many "news agencies" are picking up and running that story today? Are we about to see an all out blitz against e-ciggs or is this a cycle that happens every so often?
  3. Welcome! if your going for the tobacco flavors you might want to try an RY4 or 555 blend from the liquid vendor of your choice. That was information that would have helped me greatly at the start! ECBlends also has their dragon series which have tobacco flavors in them if you want to give them a try. I just got my fluids in from them and set them up to steep! (they need at least a week of steeping). Lots of great folks here that will help you out! i have learned a lot from them just by perusing the forums and older posts.
  4. welcome to the community. So 7 months now! that's awesome and i bet you feel so much better without the nastiness of ciggarettes in your life!
  5. I think i have always had vapers tongue i guess...I know i can taste well my vape when i first awaken..by about 10am it's so/so and midafternoon it's all pretty much tasteless to me. Great thing about it is the next day when i wake up to start over everything tastes different LOL. I had never heard of vapers tongue and just figured i was saturating my taste buds. I have continously clogged sinus passages and am a mouth breather so that may have something to do with it. No matter what combination of allergy pills my doctors give me i've never been more than a few hours in my life with clear sinus'. after 40 years i've given up on that and that probably GREATLY affects my ability to taste the vapes! Even with my cpap machine i uses the aroma fragrances that are supposed to help clear my sinus' and they do little to nothing. work for about 1 minute of great breathing then they are inflammed again. I am sure sinus sprays would help me but that's a boat i don't want to climb in to. My personality is too addictive and i know i'd be using em forever.
  6. 1.6 or 16? I wouldn't think i could even get a slight effect from 1.6.
  7. I may quit vaping in the future but i don't stress it. Just like when i swapped over i told myself i "may" quit smoking now but i did't stress it. quitting came naturally as it may do with vaping. I didn't change my liquid intake any when i started vaping but i've always drank a lot of water and coffee (black) over sodas
  8. i bought my evics from china. got them for 62 bucks each and checked them on the joytech website to verify authenticity. granted i had to buy 5 ..but i supply several folks so it was win win for me. I like the evic because you can do .1 watt increments but i still get more "difference" from the protank than from the evics
  9. duh! i never thought of that! i will order a flavorless bottle with my next juice purchase! such a great idea thanks folks
  10. they get better as they age! for me to send mine off they have to be so terrible to me (my family in cali seem to like them) that i don't want them even after aging. them cali folks i tell you what! lol
  11. lol have 2 packages arriving today with a total of 10 different flavors I am due to go back offshore any day now so they will probably set in my storage cabinet for a month till i can get back and try them.
  12. it's a tax thing and a big tobacco thing. Both want their money! turning america against them is the only way both can continue to make their bones on the analogs! Think about all the lives that will be lost because of it. Makes me a sad puppy!
  13. i know what you mean about buying in bulk! it's an obsession with me lol. I think it stems from me being offshore working for up to a month at a time and knowing if i didn't bring it with me i can't get it. When i buy a liquid to try i buy 30 or 50ml bottles out of fear i will really like it and the 10ml bottle will be gone before i can get more. I buy my hardware wholesale from china out of fear a battery will die (had several die already) and i'll be SOL. so when i go offshore i take 5 to 8 batteries with me. most still in their packaging. I buy my ce5's in bulk simply because i can get them for 1/6 the price of getting them here in the states and i can use them as disposables etc at the price i pay and not stress it. Liquid is becoming my big thing. I just can't seem to find the OMG liquid that will end my search. Does anyone ever find that? "i just know the grass is greener on THAT side of the fence" lol
  14. spring vapor : french toast Vape Dudes : apple pie Elixirliquid : caramel cappuccino Elixirliquid : mountain dew Vape Dudes : Espresso These are the ones i have lined up now for today and tomorrow. I have a feeling i'll be going back offshore on friday so i'll be swapping to ce5 clearomizers and taking my "offshore" juices lol
  15. So i tried the vape dudes mocha java and drizzle and maybe i shouldn't have gotten extra flavor is what i'm thinking because all i can taste is fake chocolate taste which to me is unpleasant. I am going to let it steep for another month or two and give it another try but as of now it looks like one that will be shipped off to relatives lol. side note: their apple pie (flavor of the month last month) is yummy. has a cinnamon hint to it along with apple. I still find my self going back to the caramel cappuccino i get from my local B&M for coffee. sadly they don't do online shipping so no point in me giving out their site. as a coffee lover though i'll stay on the "lookout" for the perfect (to me ) coffee vape! you have my word on it
  16. ya i want to try them out too...but i want to try the sample pack and it's quite a bit more expensive. 5 x 4 ml bottles...for 23 dollars... I don't sweat the money normally but i do like value lol. Someone who tries them let us know if it's worth the moolah! i might go ahead and order a sampler to see.
  17. ya i am going to change the tip out i'm sure next time i can get to my B&M to buy one. have always used clearomizers so when i bought my protank i didn't think about the fact i'd want to change the tip. Nor did i realize how much of a biter i was lol.
  18. strange...always thought message boards like this were considered social media ><
  19. I label all my clearomizers with what is in them. I keep 3 or 4 PV's working with different flavors and changeout my clearomizers frequently. If a hit tastes off even a little bit i switch it out. Strangely enough i keep cinnamon pear as a palate cleanser. After a few hits of that i can more fully taste the other flavors again when my taste buds start getting a little dull! edit: (the cinnamon pear is kept in a protank not a clearomizer)
  20. So i got my first pro tank II yesterday and it has that nifty metal tip and i relized i'm a biter! I guess i used to do it with my analogs too and my ce5's all have plastic tips so it was never a big deal. Now i am having to relearn to smoke because the hit from the PT2 is far superior to the ce5's i take offshore with me.
  21. well lets see 5 evics, 40 batteries, 500 ce5 clearomizers a pro tank II (for me)around 40 bottles of juice...and i'm still ahead. (btw i supply 5 other family members (and growing)). Gotta build up the + points to overcome all them negatives in my past lol.
  22. good to see people paying forward their juices! i do something similar. I have "family" around the united states that i supply hardware to. i almost always add in a bottle or two of juices i overbought on or simply didn't enjoy that much for them to try out a new flavor. I keep 5 to 10 USPS boxes on my desk with postage ready to go lol so i can pack up quick and drop off on my way out for the day. I also find myself giving away a lot of supplies offshore. When people see (or better yet smell) me vaping they are intrigued and want to try it out so i always carry spares with me to give away. I figure i've done enough bad things in my life maybe i can offset some of them by helping people quit smoking!
  23. as with all battery powered devices you should remove from charger when it's fully charged. Software devices are usually safer to "leave" on the charger because their charging is actually controlled by necessity to prevent battery damage. they are also turned off before they fully discharge again to prevent battery damage. Lithium Ion batteries when Completely drained will no longer work properly. that's why when they hit a pre-determined discharge level they "turn off" and never completely discharge. Lithium Ion is a great style of battery with a lot of strengths including massive cycle life (compared to some other types) but they also have inherent weaknesses (including the results of over charging and usage). You get the good and bad together in all things.
  24. The ozone machine is probably the best bet. It is what remdiation companies use (in conjunction with kilz on the walls) after your house has been damaged by fire. The ventilation is very important after. Remember ozone (O3) can not be utilized by your body so it becomes a suffocation hazard. I am lucky, even though i smoked in my vehicles they were both fairly new and i always rolled down the window when smoking and didn't use the ashtray (ya ya i know one of those inconsiderate people who littered with their analogs) so my vehicles naturally lost their smoke smell. (may help they have leather seats )
  25. I vape wherever i can get away with it! On a side note i see so many people saying they only vape in well ventilated areas. I have found that non smokers absolutely love the smell of my vape liquids. I was in a heliport the other day vaping away in the back break room and one of the workers walked in and started looking around for who was eating pancakes and syrup! she was convinced someone had broken out a griddle and made some! i was laughing so hard and didn't let her know it was me vaping.
