I'm surprised by that answer from you. It says in your interests that you like getting caught in the rain.

I got a 650mah for $20 + shipping, more like $30 for a 1000mah. Prices do vary and if you pay $6 shipping then $41 is not out of the question but you can find better deals than that.

The other good thing about the twist and VV is that you might want different voltage settings with attys or clearos that have different ohms ratings. This way you can always find a sweet spot.

For $19.95 you can get started with one of the best cig-type ecigs from smokelessimage.com

I would suggest this because if you think vaping isn't for you then you it only cost you $20 bucks, and if you like it all you have to do is order an extra battery, extra cartos and some juice and you're good for a long time.

The $20 kit comes with 1 battery, a charger, 2 prefilled carto's (that can be refilled several times), and a 3 month warranty. They also offer 2 battery kits and a lot of other options but just to try a real e-cig this is a good way to do that. You can get a manual battery(has a button you have to press) or an automatic battery.

If you want to go straight to an eGo or other mod/big battery device you need to consider the following. It's always best to have at least 2 batteries and a charger. Sometimes the cheapest way to get this is to buy a starter kit but maybe not. You gotta search for what you think you are going to be using and see if it makes more sense to buy things separately. Maybe you could buy one 1000mah eGo battery that will last you all day, a charger, a clearomiser/cartomiser/tank/drip atty and/or whatever you want on it,and some juice. The possibilities are endless and I hope I'm not drowning you but there are lots of different ways to go about it.

I love my Twist C ego batteries and the regular ones too. I wouldn't recommend the eGo c tank because they can be troublesome, I do use them though and also Vision clearos. I also have been using my Volt e-cigs again, I had them on the back burner for a while but those little things do work nicely and I knew I would go back to them.
There are lot's of big battery mods that are not extremely expensive and a few smaller cig type ones that work well but I don't know what would suit you and I can only speak of what suits me.

By now I probably have you confused because I'm babbling but if you have any other questions just shout them out and someone will help you.

Here's my take on the replacement coils:

They come in a few different resistances, 1.8, 2.4, 2.8, 3.2, and 4.0 ohms. A week later and the 3.2 ohm one I started with is still working great. I've come to find that using it at 4.8 v is not too much for me but that's as high as I would go with that one. As for the 1.8 ohmes one, I set either my twist c or my ProVari at 3.2 and It works great at that voltage.

For a regular eGo I would suggest either the 1.8 or 2.4 ohmes.
For kgo or other 3.7v - 4v batteries I would suggest 2.4 or 2.8 ohms.
For 5v or 6v mods you would probably would want to use 4.o ohms.
If you have a variable volt mod or twist c any of these will work for you.

The lower the resistance the warmer the vapor and increased vapor production just don't over do it!
If I had a true 3.7v device I think the 1.8ohm one might be too warm for me, just like if I had a true 5.v mod the 3.2 ohm one would be pushing it also.

eGo twist and mini provari and I know it won't get any better for a long time, I just think it can get better at the other end . I kinda lost interest in the kro8 volt and small battery ecigs but maybe it's just a phase I'm going through.

I want someone to come up with a better juice delivery system. Tanks and clearomisers work OK, regular carto's are kinda crappy, eGo tanks sometimes work good, dripping is good but inconvenient at times.

I want something that's easy to fill and will hold at least 3ml so I know it will last all day but most importantly it has to give the right amount of juice to the atty every time. No leaks, no dry hits.

This story might show my age, whatever, I'm getting old.
Back in 1982 I had only 1 uncle, my dad's brother was Uncle Bob. He was a big strong muscular guy 10 years older than my dad but only in his early 50's. He served in the military when he was younger and I remember him having an eagle tattoo on his chest and always a smile on his face. He had a really nice Harley Davidson motorcycle and suffered a nasty compound fracture when he was cut off by a careless driver. He didn't have anything bad to say about the ******* that totaled his bike and broke his leg and his attitude was always positive and he always found a way to joke and laugh. After many weeks with a full cast and weeks thereafter of physical therapy he made a full recovery. I thought nothing could get the better of him. He might have been 50 something but he was in the best physical condition, more like a 30 year old. Soon after his leg was completely healed he had a routine check up. Tests reveled that a cancer may be present. He wasn't a smoker or a drinker and I don't know why this happens but it does. He went under the knife and doctors took a look inside him(this is how I was told). There was cancer everywhere. The doctors gave him a few weeks to live. He actually lived for about 6 months or so, just long enough for him to loose a lot of weight and his body in the end was just skin and bones and cancer. It was heartbreaking for everyone to see him leave this world so skinny and week when for his whole life he had been so healthy and strong. Cancer sucks.

I remember you from way back. It's good to hear from you again. Let us know what you like the best these days. For me it's the twist c battery but I am constantly changing up the juice delivery method. I still drip sometimes, use clearomisers, eGo C tank, carto tank, emdcc etc. I'm not sure if one or all of these is what I will stick with or something else that is newer or hasn't come out yet.

Here's what's going on. There is a little bit of material below the wick that surrounds the element within the atty. This needs to always be wet. Dry burning will carbonize this and leave a nasty taste and will also make it so that it doesn't wick very well. DON'T DRY BURN THESE ATTYS!!! They don't even need to be cleaned unless excess liquid is coming up the cartridge where the vapor should be. WET IS GOOD!!!

The most common problem I have is when I can tell that the atty is not wet enough and I start to get a toot that is not all there, like it's running out of juice even though it's full. As soon as this happens try taking a hard dry hit. Draw hard for a couple of seconds WITHOUT pressing the button. This helps get the juice flowing again to keep everything wet.

I tried really hard to blow one and it almost worked. After the threaded end broke off a battery that was in my pocket I got a little pissed off so I put it on saw horse and smacked it with a hammer. It immediately started to smoke and it got really hot. If the gases didn't have somewhere to vent I think it would have blown.

I know this was not a smart thing to do but I'm a little bit nutty at times so I can get away with this kind of behavior. lol

Pleasant surprise today. Nashville Vapor sent me a package and I wasn't expecting it. This Bobas Bounty is really good and I don't know what to make of this "carto in a tank" yet.

My 650mah twists are working great. I can get up to a 8hr work shift on one battery vaping moderately. I mostly use lr drip attys and lr vision and lr eGo C and I keep it twisted down to the lowest setting. I've also have been using SR booge cartos and SR 510 attys just so I can turn it up. It's so nice to adjust the voltage with a little twist rather than pressing a button 7-10 times.

Hey matt, Just pick up a lr306 atty and put that on your eGo battery. Some sites will sell these with the drip tip included, you will need this. Just drip and vape. Tons of vapor and flavor, just like high volt vaping, even better imo. Another Idea is to get the twist c variable volt battery. You can set it at 4.8 volts and a standard carto or atty will hit similar to the lr306 I was talking about. I have to use the lr306 on a standard battery or at the lowest setting on the twist c because it's perfect right there and higher is too much. BTW, I think the Visions kinda suck. They need a better juice feed system and a better coil imo. I haven't had much luck with them at any setting.

OK, I'm jumping the gun a little bit because I just received it today but I thought I'd start this thread for everybody's personal experiences, questions and comments about the Joyetech Twist vv battery. I ordered mine Sunday, got shipped out Monday, in my mailbox Tuesday from Mike & Carol's Internet Store. They have the best prices I have seen and obviously fast service. I chose the 650mah battery for $20.99 + $2.99 shipping. 1000mah sells for $24.49. Here are my preliminary findings of my 650mah twist:

It is nearly identical in size and shape as a regular 1000mah ego battery. (mabey 1mm longer and same diameter)

The twist dial on the bottom has etchings that are hard to see but go from 3.2v to 4.8v.

There is no click between volt settings and the dial turns about 270 degrees, 3/4 of a full turn.

The light is green on the charger! First vape at 3.2 with ego c setup and lr coil:

It works. A little on the light side, now at 4.8....
Definite voltage change but this thick juice isn't working well with c-tank, switching to standard 510 atty...
It's working like a champ! Very nice.

More to come after I play with it for a while and compare it to my ProVari mini.

Welcome to Vapor Talk Dottymay. You will get used to dragging on an ecig in no time. Some types have an easy draw some do not but mostly you should be doing the same thing. Take a slower, easier draw and for longer than you did with traditional cigarettes and you'll get better results. I use a Volt and I get plenty of vapor. The eliquid that it's filled with has a little to do with it also but that's another story. eGo type batteries are great for long battery life and there are many options to set it up the way you want. You can put a carto on it or tank clearomiser or a atty with a cartridge or drip tip. Any questions, just ask.

NHaler sells a lot of genuine Joyetech products but I didn't see a gold band one on their site. Joytech often makes attys for suppliers with gold bands and the supplier's name engraved on it. I have one that says Litecig USA with a gold band and it's a Joytech SR atty. Wordup has these with their name on them and there are many more but they always say in the description if it is a Joytech and if they don't it probably isn't. These days there are lot's of different attys made by the same manufacturer and from different ones and I don't know which are best but from what I have I'd have to pick the lr306 but they come from different manufactures also and I don't know which ones I have.

Back in the old days sites would advertise Joye/Janty attys and send you a SLB clone. That wouldn't happen these days because word gets out much faster and they wouldn't last long as a business.

That's why I like to know where my orders are being shipped from. The only time I ordered from China was for a cell phone accessory and it only took a couple of weeks but I probably won't do that again. When something ships to the US from the US it usually gets to your mailbox in 2-3 business days no matter where it was shipped from or where it was shipped to. Last time I ordered from VT store I got it in 2 days, That's more than 3,000 miles, I was impressed with the postal service and with Chris' quick response to my order.
