  1. Key lime. Definitely key lime Or just lime.
  2. Welcome to the forum. You should find everything you could need here. If you don't find it, just ask! Tam is right. We're all a bit weird. We normally just hide that side from the new guys for a while.
  3. I recently tried ANML's "Looper". I was skeptical at first because I ate a lot of fruit loops as a child, but this flavor is amazing! It even finishes with the sugary coating on the fruit loops. It's a spot-on recreation, in my book.
  4. 2 Mutation X v4's (one for me, one for my brother) 22, 26, and 28g kanthal 32g nichrome. I also just got my hands on bottles of ANML Looper (I'm amazed by this juice), Cuttwood's Boss Reserve (another great cereal flavor), and Boardwalk's Electric Daisy (love this one also).
  5. Thanks! I don't have nearly as much time to build anymore. But I'm sure I'll sneak a few more pics in over time. Just keep your eyes peeled. I'm a long time lurker on this site. (2.5 yrs)
  6. So this used to be my favorite and most-contributed-to thread. Seeing as I am now cruising the site again, I figured I'd throw up some shots here. These are glow shots and not AT ALL my best builds. Just some cool pictures of some fairly plain builds that I've done in the last few months. I decided to revisit twisted flattened wire. 24ga this time. A loosely wrapped clapton. I wanted to get a clapton glow shot. I wrapped a much tighter one than this, but I wanted to get a better view of the 24 at the core. This one produced a much more pleasing glow shot. I'm a better builder than this, I promise :P This was purely for detail. I roughed up the wire with some magnetized pliers to get some shavings on the wire. I DID NOT VAPE THIS. Hope y'all enjoy. Some cool shots of some simple builds. I'll try to contribute more.
  7. I don't know where I read it (or if it came with any research behind it) but I remember reading that inhaling caffeine is terrible for you and dangerous. I don't know for sure, but I would rather just drink my coffee or an energy drink if I wake up late and can't make coffee.
  8. *conspiracy theory incoming* Similar to the way that the govt. (both Federal and State) don't want other possible health improvements left alone (and or legalized [i'm not naming anything I promise]), they don't want anything "e-cig" or "vape" related to be left alone. There's a lot more money in "Big-Pharma" and "Big Tobacco" than there is in an industry that has already exploded. There is no room for them to come in and regulate this industry in a way that could be equally profitable. Instead, they are going to stick with their previously accepted (and otherwise ignored) cash-cow, Tobacco taxes. A quote from a previous rant " I understand that the increased taxes supposedly fund tobacco related medical treatment, but it strikes me as odd that California seems to have fewer smokers per capita than other states, but some of the highest taxes on tobacco products in the country. " If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Especially when it comes to the money fountain. These are simply my thoughts/opinions. Take nothing too seriously. Just food for thought. Chew it apart.
  9. You should definitely get a dedicated resistance meter. The ones on the MVP's aren't super reliable. Build looks good for your first one, though! Gratz!
  10. This was about the guy in Santa Ana, CA right? Regardless of location, the problem was not the battery he was using (although under different circumstances and accurate naming of the popped battery it could be). The problem here was that he was using a tank on a hybrid style mechanical. I'm sure you've all seen them and that some of you own one yourselves. I do. But the top cap holds no center pin (for those of you who don't know), only a hole that leads to direct contact with the positive side of the battery. When this happened, it was because he he was using a tank. the contact on tanks is often flush with the actual threaded portion that surrounds it. Now, when using a normal regulated device or even a mechanical that HAS a center pin, this is not an issue. The pin will hit just the contact and not the surrounding threads. When you put it into a hybrid device, all parts of that hit the positive on the battery. The contact AND the threads connect and cause a hard short because only the contact is designed to come in contact with a positive. Moral of the story here is when using anything with a hybrid style connection, make sure that your atomizer has a contact that protrudes from the threads and is not flush with the threaded 510. Also, whenever a battery vents and causes any kind of damage, the media paints it as a battery that "exploded". We all know that the media is going to take any chance they have to jab at our industry and paint us as adrenaline junkies who like to live fast and edgy. Sorry I was late on this one. I haven't been around since wednesday for many reasons.
  11. I don't even pay attention to the vaping headlines anymore. If I stumble across something and find no legitimate study done, I just shrug and move on. There's so much negative blasting going on right now that I just choose to not even bother. On a lighter note, welcome to VT! Glad to hear that you had little to no issue when quitting. I've been here for a little over two years and have been stinky-free for just about that long!
  12. I've had so many people try to tell me I'm "smoking antifreeze". It's just a minor annoyance at this point because I enjoy educating people, but I always get hit with those comments at the worst possible time. The last guy who said something caught me in a really bad mood, but I slowed down and told him "The chemical you're referring to (propylene glycol) is simply an ingredient in SOME antifreezes. And it only is because it lowers the freezing point of water. It's generally considered to be non-toxic, and if I WERE vaping it I would have absolutely no issue. But My juices are all Max VG or Vegetable Glycerin. Now, when you have some sort of evidence suggesting that Vegetable Glycerin is going to kill me, come talk to me. But until then, **** off!" He couldn't get another word in after his initial comment and being the large person that I am, I'm sure he was a bit intimidated when I expressed my anger. He may also have been shocked at the informed response.
  13. I was a single coiler for almost a year. I started dripping in March of 2014 and I just now got into duals now that I have RDA's that have two holes in the center post. I never liked putting two different leads into one post hole. I still AM a singler in my Patriot RDA.
  14. After a little bit of use, the lunar will be passed on to my older brother along with my Patriot. He tried my set up (pirvate v2/patriot) a while back and loved the strength. I think this will finally be the device that makes him kick the stinkies. But yes, I'm set for a while
  15. I received a TON of vapemail today. It was a good day. First is my box from Vape Co. in Las Vegas and my Copper Praxis from Epik Vape here in SoCal. -Mutation X v3 -Hobo -Random juices for all the complications Next is my winnings from an instagram giveaway. I won a Lunar Mod #989 by V-Creations AAAAAAAAND A full line of Boardwalk Vapors in 120ml bottles.
  16. Going to pick up a COPPER PRAXIS TODAY! I'm a little excited.
  17. Do people HAVE one ADV? I don't understand it. I have several. I'm pretty easy when it comes to flavors. My current ADV's (because I have an 8oz bottle of each) are Mt Baker's Cheesecake and Arnold Palmer. In the past, I've had Mt Baker's Apple Rings in 236ml as well. Other ADV's have only been available in small bottles, so I end up falling back on ol' Mt Baker. I think my next bottle from them will be 8oz of their Guava.
  18. That's a nice set up. I love the look of Cartel's mods, but would never be able to commit and buy one because they don't have a locking mechanism. Like a lot of other people have told you, do your research first. This is not something you can just jump into with no knowledge. Learn your battery safety. Then start off with a higher gauge wire. I recommend 28g kanthal. It's a good starting point that will allow you to build low, but not too low. Also, you're vaping on a tank. Which, even though it's a sub-ohm tank, is still going to produce less flavor/vapor than an RDA. You can build at .5 and be happy there on an RDA. You may not be happy there (in an RDA), but the point I wanted to make is that they will perform differently at the same resistance. Learn how to use the ohm's law calculator (http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/ohms_law_calculator.php), learn what batteries will provide you the continuous amp output you will need, and just how low you can build on there. Even a couple months after starting your journey into the world of rebuildables, you should not have to worry about what each battery is rated at for pulse output. AKA: there's no need to build below .2 ohms. Pulse ratings are for the people who like to build at ridiculously low resistances. Which is not something you'll NEED to do. Will was right in pointing out the flaw in George's comment. The battery may come off the charger at 4.2, but it will drop to somewhere around 3.7 when firing under load. So when running the numbers on the Ohm's law calculator, it's best to input voltage at either 3.7 or 3.8v. I can't think of much else to include. I'm still just waking up, so my brain is a bit dead at the moment. Just learn learn LEARN. Do your research. When you think you've learned enough, keep searching. You can't be too safe when diving into this part of the industry.
  19. Beyond Vape Smith box. It's a collaboration between BV and the manufacturers of the ipv's. 150w. Aria Built (BV) SS Temple drip tip. I also have a package coming from a seperate vendor containing a Hobo v2.1 RDA and a Mutation X v3. But that has not arrived yet. :P I set the fire alarm off in my house with my Smith box within the first hour of having it in my hands. My alarms run through the security system in my house, so the fire dept. was called. Needless to say, they weren't very happy to find some guy sitting in his driveway looking like a human fog machine. One of the two I talked to was laughing his *** off, though.
  20. I bought a Beyond Vape Smith 150w box mod, a hobo RDA, and a Mutation X v3. I couldn't find any in stock right now, but I will be picking up a Praxis before too long.
  21. I picked up a bottle of The White Rabbit from The Vaping Rabbit. What an amazing vape! It's absolutely delicious. Blueberry shortbread cookies with a creamy lemon frosting. I found a new "Good behavior treat" vape. I also picked up two bottles from Privilege E-liquid and a bottle of Nessie from Crypto Juiceology. I've yet to try the last three.
  22. I gave in to the whole "Japanese Cotton" thing and bought a couple packs of Samurai Cotton at VapeCon. I gotta say, I absolutely love this stuff. No weird flavors, wicks well, and the whole flat pad thing makes cutting the right amount of cotton just so easy! I won't be going to back to cotton balls any time soon. They are doing a x-mas thing where I will be able to get 3 for the price of one. I just shared a photo of theirs and they sent me a code. at $3-4 a pack, you can't go wrong. I'm still using the same two packs I got at the convention. And I rewick every day.
  23. Parallel 24/28g 5 wraps on a 2.5mm bit. Comes out to something like .35 I think. I'm not sure. I built it a couple days ago.
  24. I picked up a couple packs of Samurai Cotton at VapeCon. I love it. It wicks better than the stuff I was using before, and it leaves no extra tastes. I don't have to worry about that gross flavor at the start of my day. (I rewick with my coffee every morning)
