  1. If I remember correctly, it was Earthling who told me to set the iStick 20W at volts instead of watts. The 20W doesn't read wattage well and burns hot. At volts, it works much better. Also, since it runs hotter than what the display reads, you'd be better off with a higher resistance coil like 2.0 or 2.5 ohms. Less chance of burning up a coil that way.
  2. The Eleaf iStick 20w was the worst of the lot. I love the 50W version I now have nine of them... Are you looking for something that has the battery integrated into it like the iStick or do you want to buy the batteries (and charger) separately?
  3. Bought another Russian 91% from Mt. Baker Vapor last night. Liked the first one so much I had to get a back up for it. @Earthling789? You may begin with the "I TOLD YOU SO!"s.
  4. Your life will be much more pleasant if you do.
  5. My local B&M has a website. Vision Spinners 1300 mAh (the version 1) are going for $15 right now. http://shop.vaporsource.com/vision/vision-vv-batteries
  6. Change coils when you don't get the flavor or the performance falls off.
  7. Not necessarily. It could be the juice you're using, the temperature you've got your battery at... a number of different variables. Changing cotton every so often isn't that time consuming, I change the wick on my Russian 91% every other tankful to keep everything fresh.
  8. Aaawwww, puppy!
  9. Okay, now tell me what PG/VG ratio your juices are.
  10. Melo 2 tank with EC Head (Kanthal) -- 0.3 ohm (30 - 80W) EC TC-Ni Head (Nickel 200) -- 0.15 ohm (60W max) EC TC-Ti Head (Titanium) -- 0.5 ohm (60W max) With any coil, start low, vape. If it's not what you like, turn it up a little, vape. Repeat until you get a slight burnt taste or a harsh vape. Turn it down a notch or two and that should be the sweet spot on that coil. Without the PG/VG ratio, I'm at a loss about giving you advice on how to get more vapor without frying coils. If you can't read the brand name, do you have the name of the store where you got the juice? If it's a B&M, do they have a website as well?
  11. Hi, and welcome to Vapor Talk! In your post you say you just bought an eLeaf iStick TC60W battery, you don't mention what tank you're using. We'll need to know that to help you better. Also, you ask 'which of the three coils' you should use. Can you give us some specs on these coils? What is the resistance of these coils? Is there a difference in the type of wire used? In TC, I believe you have to use a wire made from something different than the usual kanthal. Knowing the PG/VG ratio of your juice would also be very helpful. Higher PG = thinner juice, less vapor, better flavor carrier Higher VG = thicker, slightly sweeter juice (which gunks up coils faster), more vapor, mutes flavor Sorry for all the questions, but it's much easier to help if we know more.
  12. What is this cotton bacon and how does it compare to the organic Koh Gen Do?
  13. Our local station had a story tonight about e-cigs. To their credit, their "expert" said that many of the explosions are due to people charging their batteries with the wrong chargers, that they need some knowledge of Ohm's Law, and should always practice safety first. Too bad that's a minority opinion in the news world these days.
  14. The family said they don't know what he was using other than that it was an e-cig.
  15. You can on an RDA but you have to be dripping very high VG as always.
  16. That's my primary method of using an iStick 50W. Right now I'm dripping with an HH.357, I've also used my JAM RDA on it as well.
  17. Monday. Part II, the sequel. Glad it wasn't any worse but I'm sorry you had to deal with it at all.

    Evic vtc and flavor

Flavor will vary with different tanks and/or delivery systems. The same juice I vape in my direct drip atomizer (HH.357) will taste drastically different in a Kanger Pro Tank and even more different in my Russian 91 or Kanger Subtank mini. That's why, when I find a juice that tastes good in one type of delivery system, I stick to that.
  19. Go you, Jason!
  20. Kanger Pro Tank mini has versions 1, 2 and 3. https://www.vaportalk.com/shop/pro-tank-3-mini/ The link below takes you to a picture of the Kanger Subtank mini https://www.vaportalk.com/shop/kangertech-subtank-mini/ Then, there's the Kanger Subtank Nano https://www.vaportalk.com/shop/kanger-subtank-nano/ Kanger Aerotank mini https://www.vaportalk.com/shop/kanger-aerotank-mini/ As you can see, there are many "mini" Kanger tanks and that's not all of them, just a few. RDA = Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer RBA = Rebuildable Atomizer RTA = Rebuildable Tank Atomizer RBA and RTA are basically the same thing and are used interchangeably. Hope that helped.
  21. Mmmm. That looks good, Cany! What kind of hot sauce do you use? I'm partial to Franks myself.
  22. Which "mini Kanger" tank did you buy? Is it the Kanger Protank mini (versions 2 or 3), the Kanger Subtank mini? There are many "mini" versions of Kanger tanks. If you could narrow it down, it would make our answers more accurate. Just a guess but it sounds like a Kanger subtank mini with the RBA section.
  23. Aaaarrrrgggghhh! You're going to make me want to buy a 40W-TC at the very least, aren't you. I see what you did there, Earthling. Sneaky. But effective. You won the first one, did you buy the rest at GearBest too?
  24. The fire button is rather interesting and new. Hmmmm, I might be tempted...
  25. You're in good hands here, Bryan. These guys won't steer you wrong. No matter which battery/mod you wind up getting, you might want to look into a silicone wrap for extra protection if you're as hard on them as you say. That, plus the stainless steel tanks, and you should be good to go. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
