  1. My constant has been EC Blend's Feels Like a Nut. They gave me a 0 mg sample with another order. At first I thought it tasted... okay, but nothing to really catch my attention. But I kept coming back to it so I ordered my first 30 ml bottle at 12 mg nic, 50 PG/50 VG with extra sweetener. Shortly after that, I started ordering it by the 125 ml bottle with double extra sweetener. Then, to try to cut back a little, I lowered the nic to 6 mg with only extra sweet. A month later, I dropped it down to 3 mg, extra sweet added. Around this time I changed to a subtank and went to a 40 PG/60 VG, then a 3 mg, 30 PG/70 VG blend. Throat hit was no longer desirable, I wanted the fullness of the vapor and a smoooooth hit. I can't put my finger on why I'm so hooked on this flavor, it just satisfies me. This is what I vape 70% of the time every day. My switch off flavor is Fadora's Tutti Frutti, Compenstine makes a blend just for my finicky tastebuds at a 3 mg, 30 PG/70 VG. The juice is consistently good and I'd be hard pressed to get better customer service. As with the FLaN from EC Blends, this blend from Comp is very smooth with no throat hit, just pure flavor and a full, rich vapor. My newest switch off flavor is Coval Vapes' Cucumber Mint (3 mg, 30/70). I sometimes add a few drops of Vaping Watch's Clockwerks Custard (3 mg, not sure what the PG/VG ratio is, could be 50/50 or 30/70) to smooth it out even more. Once in a great while when I can't vape as often, I'll go back to one of the first flavors I started with: Vapor Source's Mojito at 24 mg, 30/70. I add a few drops of custard to help smooth out the throat hit, add a little more Peppermint from EC Blends and a touch of sweetener from Flavor West. Interesting topic, Chris. I'm very interested to see what others say.
  2. The base from the tank. Tried the silicone gripper trick but that didn't work. Even had the SO give it a try and short of breaking the glass, it wouldn't budge. I was hoping you had another trick up your sleeve.
  3. I'm even lazier than that, which is why I use the iStick 50W. Don't have to take out batteries to charge, just throw them on the charger (first taking tank off and turning off battery for safety).
  4. All too often people say, "Oh, I only need one back up, it'll be fine." And then something happens and they're waiting on pins and needles for their paycheck to hit so they can go get another...whatever it is that isn't working anymore. Then, we hear, "Wow, you were right." and they begin to sing the back up song with us. The reason why we stress back ups is because it's happened to all of us at some point. One day, I went through three coils, two tanks, and four batteries while I was out running errands. I was out of back ups but had one unit working until I got home. Was never so glad to have as many back ups as I did that day.
  5. Nice!
  6. Cool trick, Earthling! No pun intended. Any tips on how to break loose the bottom portion of the Nautilus mini? Those silly things don't want to come apart, lol!
  7. Try putting the whole thing into the freezer for around 5 minutes or so then try again. The cold might help. If that doesn't work, try putting into the freezer for another 5 minutes. Just a tip for next time, make sure to clean the threads of the battery and the tank every time you fill the tank and/or charge the battery. That should help to keep this from happening again. Also, every time you take the tank off, make sure to dab the inside of the battery connection. Liquid tends to leak there and will eventually keep it from charging or firing.
  8. Got my three 5-packs of Triton coils in 1.8 ohms from VaporDNA today. Looks like I'm set for a while, these things last nearly ten tankfuls or more.
  9. You say that many of us have shinyitis like it's a bad thing...
  10. Looks like you've got a good handle on things. Vape on.
  11. You started out with some very good equipment, sounds like you've got a good vendor in your area. That said, you now need to go pick up a couple more back ups. You have two batteries, which is a good start. You need a couple more tanks just in case something happens. When you get a couple more tanks, pick up a couple of 5-packs of coils to go with them. You never know when a coil is going to go out on you or when you get a bad one. Having back ups and back ups of back ups is the insurance to your success in getting off and staying off cigarettes. Congratulations on making the switch, and I hope your lady makes a quick and full recovery from her surgery. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  12. Just ordered 3 rebuildable coils for the Aspire Triton 2 from Coval Vapes. They're having a sale and have them for $5.95 each.
  13. Interesting. I can't wait to read the full report when it comes out. Thanks, Jeff!
  14. I prefer simplicity at its finest. The closest thing to a box mod that I have and currently love is an Eleaf iStick 50W. The batteries are not changeable, it's simple, and it just works. It's variable wattage and variable voltage, I can sub-ohm if I want (I usually prefer to stick to around 1.8 ohm for coil resistance whether I build it myself or buy a premade coil), it has enough oomph to be very versatile. Best of both worlds.
  15. Any way to adjust font size on these, Comp?
  16. Make sure to get the Triton 2 and not just the Triton if you decide to go that way. The original Triton gave me all kinds of problems after the first few tanks. The Triton 2 (version 2) fixed those and is much better imo. I like to use it with a 1.8 ohm coil although there are many other options available.
  17. Yep, what Earthling said. Plus, just because it's popular doesn't mean that it's the right one for you. Vaping is very subjective, only you will know which one works best for what you want.
  18. What Bebop said.
  19. I would contact the vendor where you bought this and see if they won't replace it for you.
  20. If you didn't prime the atomizer first, put it on the tank, filled the tank with juice and then let it sit for a few minutes to let the wick completely saturate, it's very likely that the burning taste you're getting is a dry hit (the wick isn't wet with juice and is burning the wick).
  21. I have both the Triton 2 and the Subtank Mini and by far, I prefer the Triton. It's the best thing for mouth to lung hits and it's consistent every time. I liked it so much I bought two more. The Subtank seems to run hot on the 1.5 ohm coil, even when I build on the RBA part, it's still not hitting right for me. YMMV
  22. How much research have you done into what the FDA is proposing for e-cig hardware and juices? If it were me, I'd wait to see what new rules and regulations are going to be put into place before spending all that money to open up a shop, but that's just me. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  23. Mint/menthol bubblegum would be okay... so would banana cinnamon roll but put all four together?
  24. Welcome.
  25. Got in two 125 ml bottles of Feels Like a Nut from EC Blends today.
