  1. It's the one where I'm chain-vaping... Sorry, no help here.
  2. If I remember right, the first several weeks was filled with some coughing stuff up, a little tightness in the chest, feeling tired, achy and just out of sorts. Then, after getting through that, I can now breathe easier, deeper, feel more energetic, and just better all around. Hang in there, you're doing good!
  3. So sorry to hear about this. It sucks anytime to be off work without pay but even more so during the holidays. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's not any longer...
  4. Thanks for all the additional information! I'll keep it in mind should I want to explore the 306s.
  5. Thanks for the info. Now, I have another question. Why do you need to use the 510 to 510 adapter in order to use the drip shield? :P
  6. In order to use the 306 atty on an eGO battery, do you need some kind of an adapter?
  7. When trying new flavors I buy 5 ml bottles. Once I know I like it I'll go to the 15 or 30 depending on how much I like the flavor. As for nicotine strength... I'm all over the place and have everything from 0 to 24 mg, it just depends on what I feel like at the time. Still too new to be able to pin it down to just one or even a few.
  8. If you want a variation of the eGo twist, try the Vision Spinner. It's essentially the same as the variable voltage twist but with the numbers on the bottom much clearer and easier to see. http://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1192&zenid=0947d4c03f545b503ca7054574319c3d I just recently got the 900 mAh version and it's so much easier to see where the voltage is. You can turn it up for a warmer vape, turn it down for cooler. For the best flavor I'd recommend direct dripping. For that you'd need an atomizer (get the lowest ohm rating for hotter vapor... 1.5 ohm I think is the lowest). If direct dripping you'll want the atomizer and a drip tip. A drip shield is needed to keep it all from being messy. For clearomizers, I love the eGo 2.4 ml CC (changeable coil). It holds 2.4 ml of liquid so you don't have to keep filling it all the time and it's the next best thing to dripping as far as flavor goes, imo. You can get those at The Veteran Vapor: http://www.theveteranvaper.com/ego-2-4ml-cc-long-wick-changeable-coil-clearomizer-clear/ You can get the replacement coils in different ohms (I think they have 1.5, 1.8, 2.0, etc.) Check with Brian and he'll be able to tell you more of what he has in stock. Good luck!
  9. You don't have to convince me, I'm already converted to direct dripping.
  10. Kit, aren't you using the new ones with the longer wicks? I'm still using the short wicks I think I nearly bought Brian out of them. There's a little bit of muting on the flavors from direct dripping but it's not enough to make much of a difference.
  11. I've tried the rebuildable Vision clearomizers and they were... okay. I much prefer the eGo CC clearos like Jeff recommended. He also linked you to Brian's site. You won't find better customer service anywhere! Those are my main ones if I'm not direct dripping. They're very easy to clean and you can just change out the atomizer if you change flavor. Personally, I like to keep several filled with different flavors so I just change the clearos. No wasting liquid that way.
  12. You must have back ups for your back ups. The only thing I can comment on is the tips. You'll want to try different kinds of tips to find what works best and feels most comfortable for you. I've got several different kinds of tips that I like to switch off to. It just depends on what I feel like that day -- and what color battery I'm using. It's prettier when they match. ^____^ If you're going to do the direct dripping thing into the atomizer you'll definitely want to get a drip shield to keep the liquid from oozing all over. Then, you'll want to get different colored tips to match the color of your drip shields and...
  13. What you can smell once you start with the ecigs is pretty amazing. I found one draw back of sorts. I'm very allergic to perfumes, colognes, scented... anything, and now I can smell them so much better. Lol! You're doing good, Suzi. Keep it up! But if you feel the need for an analog every once in a while, don't beat yourself up over it, just get back to vaping when ready.
  14. Yep, what Jeff said. When I started my main concern was that I didn't want to give myself an excuse to go back to analogs. A dead battery that I couldn't use because it was charging would've been a prime example so I got a pass through. They work great.
  15. What kind of battery are you currently using? That might be the culprit... maybe. My tried and true are the eGo T 650 mAh pass throughs although I do have a couple different twists. eGo 650s are pretty inexpensive and very good work horses imo.
  16. After smoking for so many years it's going to take more than one week before you start to feel better. Hang in there, Suzi! Your body's working through quite a few changes. While this is happening you're going to feel tired, cranky, sore all over, and generally just... not well. If you stick with this, it really does get better like everyone's said. I think we've all been where you are now and we all sympathize with you.
  17. I second the Starbuckets Mocha from Sweet-Vapes.com. You might also check out Virgin Vapors' site. They have a Kona Milkshake that's just wonderful. I got that at 12 mg, 100 VG.
  18. Welcome! I think you're going to like it here.
  19. When vaping you might also try to open your mouth and also exhale through your nose. I hated doing that with analogs because it burned, but it doesn't hurt with vaping, it helps me to taste the juice a bit better.
  20. All the times I went outside to vape netted me several airport security asking me questions about the e-cig and being very positive about it. ^__^
  21. I love the eGo 2.4 ml CC (changeable coil) clearomizers! They give the closest to the true flavor of the e-juices next to dripping. You don't have to buy a whole clearo when it no longer produces vapor like it did before -- you just change the inside coil (unscrew the tip/mouth piece, unscrew the coil, pop a new one in, replace the tip) and you're good to go. The coils come in a five pack that are much cheaper than to buy the whole thing. AND! It holds a whopping 2.4 ml of liquid so you don't have to mess with things so often. They're also very easy to clean and reuse. You can't go wrong by buying from The Veteran Vapor. The customer service there is excellent and Brian is very knowledgeable about all of his products.
  22. Realistically? No. But if it would make you feel better I could fabricate a wonderful story for you...
  23. Welcome, Thrasher. You've come to the best place to ask questions. You'll get lots of experienced vapers on this site giving you the best advice on the starter kits. I think you're on the right track with an eGO battery. Just keep in mind that if you get a pass through, you'll need the USB cable to charge it. The "regular" eGO batteries take a different charger. If you like the pass through, you might just stay with a different pass through to keep it similar. You can also get an a/c adapter for the USB cord. Everyone has their own personal favorites. Mine seem to change the longer I vape. At first I used cartomizers and clearomizers. Then, I changed to clearomizers exclusively until Kitsune got me into direct dripping. It all depends on what works for *you*. Some trial and error is on your horizon but the learning and experimenting is more than half the fun! And back-ups are a must. Back-ups of back-ups (especially of e-juices) are... addicting. I've bought quite a few things from http://www.ecigbestsave.com and they give excellent customer service. So far everything I've gotten from them has been quality stuff although I've never bought any batteries from them, just drip tips, atomizers, and a few clearomizers... I think. Good luck!
  24. You think the Universal is huge, Rixter, I use mine with a drip tip on top. Add the short eGO 650 pass through, it looks utterly ridiculous! But then again I really like the cool vape it gives when I use it.
