  1. Wow. And I'd like to introduce you to Mr. Kettle over here. That last line sounded suspiciously like a very real threat. So you took exception to the content of this post. Why keep coming back to it? If it offends you so much, there's always the back key and then you won't have to read it anymore. Honestly, all the members that I've had the pleasure to meet and talk to on this forum have been nothing but nice. They are welcoming and friendly with everyone, you included up until lately anyway. People have their own opinions. If you don't like one of them then don't read. It's as simple as that, really.
  2. Most colleges do listen to their students as long as you remain civil and have all the facts behind you. I'd suggest you first go talk to your Associated Student Government officers and try to convince them to back your cause. They have the ear and can get the attention of your college's cabinet members to try to change this ban. Good luck! ETA: Um... you might want to add to this sentence, "The liquid is basically nicotine, glycol propylene, and water." Most e-juice contain food grade flavorings as well as vegetable glycerin, some also contain food coloring. I could be wrong but the only time I've heard of water being used in e-liquid is with 100% VG (vegetable glycerin) mixes. I'm not sure if glycol propylene is the same as propylene glycol but I think it's the latter that you'll find in e-liquids.

You are *so* not getting me into anything new, Rixter! I'm still working my way through the 901s you recommended to me a while back.

The drip shields for eGo batteries really helped out when I started direct dripping. Must wander over there to see if he does custom jobs...
  5. It's duct tape, Rixter, not Scotch tape. Since I discovered the clear duct tape nothing's been safe around here...
  6. I have both eGo C and eGo T pass throughs. I believe the T came first and then the C (the C being the newer version of the T). The C pass through that I have has an additional something or other that has to do with the blue light in the button (I forget what it is) as I use the regulated option. I'm not familiar with a regular eGo battery but on my pass throughs you get two options to use: 1) is the default and regular. When you press the button it shines with a white light. That tells you that, as you use the battery and the charge goes down, so does the power of the hits until you need to recharge. Makes sense, right? Just like a regular flashlight. At first it's really bright and as it gets closer to needing a new battery (recharge), you'll see the light dimming. 2) the second is the... I think it's called "regulated"? You turn off your battery. Then hold the button in for 10 seconds or until you see the light flash. This light is almost an orange color. Then, you click five times and turn it on. This option is like the light in your house. You turn it on and it gives a bright light. When you're done, you turn it off. This gives you a consistent draw until the battery just dies (you get 15 quick flashes). There's no difference in how strong the draw is and there isn't the gradual lessening of power like in the default. You can go back to the default by clicking your battery off and then holding the button until the light flashes again. You can tell by the light's color, it'll either be white or an orangey one. Other than that blue light that I forget what it's for, they pretty much work the same. I love them both. Sorry, it's not much help. Might not be a good idea to try explaining something before I've finished the first cup of coffee of the morning... Oh, and I use the CE4, CE5, T2 (2.4 ml eGo CC) and now a Vision Vivi Mini on them. They all work well with the eGo batteries.

Thanks, Jeff. Everything I've ever gotten from Empire Mods has been top quality. If you decide to give them a try I'm sure you'll be as happy with the service as I am.
  8. This past Wednesday I was at home waiting for the landline repair person to come fix a line that most likely had been chewed through by gophers in our area when I got a phone call from Keith at Empire Mods. He was calling to apologize for my order being delayed and to let me know about its status. If you're not aware, Empire Mods is in New York. Where Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc just recently. Keith lost power for about a week. New York is still trying to get back on its feet. And Keith was apologizing for not having had the five cut drip shield in stock, not being able to machine a new one for me due to loss of electricity, and for the order being late due to no one being able to get around and regular postal delivery not being available. Amazing. Frankly, I was more worried about him and his family -- it doesn't matter that I don't know him at all other than to order from his store. After seeing the devastation Sandy left, the last thing I expected was for him to personally make that phone call to apologize for the order being late. When I ordered I chose the 1st class mail option. Keith upgraded it to priority mail and added a few extra drip tips and goodies at no extra cost to me. That's stellar customer service. This drip shield now holds a wealth of memories for me and is something I'll cherish. It's a reminder that there is great customer service out there, as well as someone who puts his customers' needs above his own. Wow. Thanks, Keith. I'm happy and relieved to hear you're all safe, and if I wasn't a loyal customer of Empire Mods before, this act of kindness and service just clinched the deal.
  9. In my ever growing collection of e-liquids I have everything from 0 to 24 mg. I like being able to switch to just flavor and no nic from time to time. The flavors I have in no nic are very good, it gives the illusion of vaping without the effects of nicotine. Just a preference for some of us I guess.
  10. You're welcome, Jeff. See? This is how I wind up in trouble and getting a whole $&%# load of e-cig stuff... Looks like about 50% is sold out. But the other 50% isn't...
  11. http://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=104_214&products_id=1193 That's the pink 900 mAh. It's not sold out. The other colors and mAh levels are here: http://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=104_214
  12. That would be Gotvapes.com http://www.gotvapes.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1192&zenid=0947d4c03f545b503ca7054574319c3d You know you want the purple one, Jeff.
  13. My purple spinner matches my purple leopard spotted car seat covers...
  14. Those are beautiful! Welcome to VT.
  15. Well, Lindsay, if you click on the link I provided and then look for the "cartomizer" link on the left side of the page you'll find about five different kinds of clearomizers in various forms. What you "prefer" is up to your individual tastes and likes.
  16. Kitsune reported one in Aurora, Colorado recently. Farther south in Pueblo, Colorado there's one in the mall as well as on B Street: http://vaporsourceecigs.com/ When you get back to Colorado, if you're in the area, you'll have to check out the e-cig fairies in action!
  17. Hi Sanj. I was hoping someone who knows the area would've answered your request by now. Unfortunately, I'm not at all familiar with where you live so I can't be of any help. Have you had any luck tracking down a local store that might have some e-juice for sale? I've heard someone say they found some at head shops... Good luck, and I hope you're staying safe!
  18. This review is waaaay late but here it is. When I finally decided to try the eGo Twist I bought it from Brian at The Veteran Vapor. Also ordered the charger. The items came quickly and well packaged. The first time I tried to charge it the threads were a little weird and I had a hard time connecting the battery to take a charge. Since the charger is a different type than what I use with my pass throughs I assumed it was just me. The second time I couldn't get it to connect at all so I contacted Brian. At this point I didn't know if it was me, the Twist, or the charger or all of the above. Brian got back to me right away and insisted on sending out a new battery and charger immediately even after I told him I'd be happy to wait until he checked to see which one the culprit was. He sent me a brand new Twist and charger priority. Inside the box was also a slip for me to reuse the box with the prepaid shipping slip to return the items I already had. In the past with other vendors I usually had to pay to send things back. Only when they got the items and checked to make sure it wasn't working would they send out a replacement and possibly a refund on the shipping. Not so with Brian. The customer service I got from him was way beyond great. He even got back to me with an update. It was the charger after all and the Twist was just fine. These things happen from time to time with any product. I don't expect everything I buy to be perfect every time, and it was in no way Brian's fault that the charger didn't work right. But it's the way the transaction is handled that makes all the difference. Since then I've ordered as many things as I can from his store. The times when I contacted him asking questions, he's always answered quickly and politely. Of the things I've ordered, there were some extra goodies as his way to say, "thanks for the business!" If you want great customer service, quality products, excellent packaging and quick shipping... I highly recommend Brian and The Veteran Vapor. And Uma? Forget calling him Mark. I kept typing his name as Brain.
  19. Wow. I'm rather surprised to hear about your experience with them. I had a drip tip break so I emailed them to ask if this was a common occurrence with this particular style -- didn't want to buy another one like it if it was. At less than $2 I didn't really expect much. They immediately sent back an apology as well as a replacement. And welcome to Vapor Talk.
  20. Yes, each coil is $2.49. http://www.theveteranvaper.com/vision-ego-clearomizer-ce4-long-wick/ The Vision CE4 is a 1.6 ml clearomizer that's also very good, imo.
  21. Sorry, no help here about the thor clearomizer. But I would recommend getting some T2 (eGo 2.4 ml CC (changeable coil) clearomizers) at The Veteran Vaper. http://www.theveteranvaper.com/ego-2-4ml-cc-long-wick-changeable-coil-clearomizer-clear/ http://www.theveteranvaper.com/ego-cc-long-wick-replacement-coil/ The second link is to the replacement coils. These are easy to use and very good -- just my opinion. And welcome to VT!
  22. When I was just starting I tried dry burning them with my pass throughs. Most often they left either a burned taste or wasted the things altogether. After a couple of tries I just started to dry them overnight. That seemed to work best for me. YMMV, however...
  23. I think that's what they were. Their site is currently down due to Hurricane Sandy's influence so I can't check the descriptions. No worries if they're not. Guess I'll find out when they get here. If they're not something I can use with my current set up -- maybe it just means I'll have to buy the correct stuff so it'll fit. Just kidding!
  24. My next problem might be when I have too many different things to choose from that I can't decide which one to switch to...
  25. Glad you're all okay. Way to be prepared!
