I think I'd blame it on the flu or something - not vaping. I don't blame vaping for anything. LOL

Seriously, I hope you're feeling better by now.

p.s. by dropping the mg, you can vape more.

Same here. I vape more than I smoked. But...to be honest...I might have smoked more if it hadn't been so expensive. Just sayin'. LOL

Uma, you sure know how to make a person feel good!!

My "list" is under my smoke free banner. But, I'll put it here....Mark's Mod, eGo, Provape 1, OG juice box mods, Ali'i, Reo Grand, and two Lava Tubes (large & small).

I'll gather my stuff together and see if I can get a pic, then I'll try (notice I said "try") to post one. I just don't have much any more. My list of what I've had in the past is much, much, much longer. LOL

You hast get the "want to" to get all the way off the analogs.Once I accepted I would never find a liquid and device that were just like smoking it got a whole lot easier.I tried quite a few different manufacturers of liquid and went back and revisited some as my tastebuds were restored.I have found some very tasty liquids that I look forward to and have gotten to where the nic is not an issue I can vape no nic and enjoy it just as good as low nic.One thing that helped me was to clean the house and van and get rid of all the smoke that coated everything .I washed all the curtains and coats ,repainted .And now I am at the point I can smell a smoker from across the room and cannot beleive I smelled like that all the time. Now I am noticing that the vapor is coating stuff and causing a different smell. Not as bad but I may have to deal with that.I have been vaping over three years now and pretty much vape like I smoked.I keep the cost down as low as possible and just keep it around for those moments I need to take a break .

Uma!!! It's all my fault? LOL Okay, I'll admit to the backups for you backups backups thing. I've been a stickler for that almost from the very beginning. But...I'm glad I am. I don't have nearly as many mods as you do though. You've long since surpassed me in that area - plus you now know everything there is to know about every device out there. You are the QUEEN of vaping!!!!

I never did figure out how to add pictures to posts, so I'll have to let my "list" tell you what I have instead of showing you.

Congrats (soon!) to the both of you!!
The P+ is always a good choice.. Anything built by Super-T is outstanding. You can't go wrong with a Super-T product.

There are so many choices out there right now. I'll run a few of them by ya.

    The Piccolo
The Temon (you get 2 tubes and 1 RBA 16mm size)
    The P+
    The Fine

    That should get ya Googleing.

In a shorthand version type of way, I do Jeff, lol.

There's no gaps, they look like one solid piece, from the mod to the atty. (because they are!)

It's an RBA & a mechanical mod, joined at the hip. The joining locks the two together, omitting the need for a regular finnicky 510 connection. Because there is now a solid unifying unit, this means that the mod/atty work together more efficiently. There is no loss of current, the volt drop is miminalized, and the overall vape is just lovely.

Cons: If you have a broken button or a bad atty day (can't seem to get rid of a hot spot in your coils or something), you can't use the mod at all, it just becomes a paperweight until you figure out that short or until you fix the broken button or whatever is ailing your device.
Solution: Make sure you have extra mod or two that you actually love using, and, of course, some extra RBA's to tinker with. One always needs backups.

Once you have backups, once you know have the RBA mastered (which is really simple, honest!!, it's just frustrating at first), it's a no-brainer to own a hybrid.

Some of the most popular to date:
Orion V2 or is it V3 or both? Orion V in any case.
Ihybrid brand new to the market this year, very nice affordable aluminum mod. The limited Red Dragon edition is the most popular, but they're all nice. Can be found at 310vapers
Hellfire is the most coveted... there are only a few out there. Put this in your dream list.
Zenesis has quite a few models out, but most of them are "limited" editions. (Cobalt, Bam, etc) However, the Standard and the Mini are always available when they are available. The MINI is the better out of the two. (they're heavy!) The Sidewinder is new and is a big hit as far as I know. electronicstix is selling them I believe.
SilverDog is brand new to the market, and is getting the quirks and kinks ironed out still. But once ironed out, it's going to be a bigger hit, because it's the easiest out of all of them to refill.
There are tons more out there, I've just skimmed the surface!!!

And now we have the Hybrid KITS!!
MMVapors is coming out with a HYBRID KIt. yep. A Kit. Actually, 2 different hybrid kits. One allows us to turn our DID's into a Hybrid (DID is an RBA by MMVapors) The other one lets us turn the Poldiac into a Hybrid (with any RBA I believe).
HyDID and a PolDID or visa versa.

    Clear as mud?

It's been a while since I was last here, but I wanted to stop bye and thank all my old friends here at Vapor Talk.
I'm coming up on my third year analog free and I wouldn't have made it this far without a lot of help and support from the folks here.
Chris, this is my forum home. I know I haven't been around as much as I use to be, but I haven't forgotten where my friends are. Without this place in the beginning I don't believe I would have lasted this long.
For this I give you a big thank you! This forum and the support you give people is a big asset.
"O" ( iamofortuna), Skruff (skruff77), your love, support, and friendship has meant the world to me. All those nights at first on the chat were really a lot of fun, and I got a lot of information at the same time. Love you guys.
Mark, you've been a great friend and a big help in my getting where I am today in vaping. Having someone close to go to is a big help when someone is just getting started. I thank you so much.
Jeffb, BD, Brian, Kitsune, Uma, Joe2003, and so many others, thank you for being there when I needed answers or just someone to talk with. The friendship you all have shown me is greatly appreciated.
All in all this place is the best place for any one who is just getting started with this vaping thing to be at.
The help and support you all give is something you all should be very proud of.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Much love to you all!!!! Snubber

One more note of encouragement here. I can't add anything to the wonderful advice that's already been given here, but I will say that it does get better - every day. I was a smoker for 34 years, too. As of six days ago, I've been smoke free for 3 years - thanks to vaping and the Vapor Talk family.

Took until my 3rd week to finally get past the loopiness, everyone is different, but for me my chest already quit hurting, I sleep soo well now being able to breath.
when I smoked a cig i I smoked the whole d*mn thing, no sitting in the ashtrays for me almost 2 pks a day for over 30 years and not being able to stop was killing me fast, literally.

for those times i seem a little edgy I up the nic level, i found changing the flavor helps as well. In the beginning what I thought I would like turned out to not do the job like I thought it would and now im still w bacco flavors but nothing like a marlboro light or parliament like I originally wanted.

then you need to factor in the equipment your using it may beat the urge but not satisfing the craving to just smoke a cig. there too once I found something to give me a choker hit i slowed way down (after gagging for 5 min lol) and had alot less urge to feel the real smoke, the feel of the hit is one of the most important parts of all this.

then theres the worst part, some of your physical symptoms are your mind playing tricks on you, trying to get that cig back between your fingers, why?
You said you smoked over 30 years, as I, I couldnt figure it out, the nic was under control, the feeling of smoking was there, but why did I start to get edgy at work or after a good meal and still want a real one?

Becuase its not just a mindless addiction, or chemical attachment, iits a part of you, what you do, who you are
it defined you, good times, bad times, breakups, new job, new house, parties, depression, sadness and triumph. that cigarette was always there, the friend who never judged, never faltered, never changed, and we made sure we went out of our way to get another.
now your simple trying to tell your brain and body "cant touch that anymore", and your gonna get cranky, hell most people cant throw away a pair of worn out jeans if they still feel good, why should we expect something we have done for 30 years to be any easier.
it can keep the addiction in check but some people have to mentally adjust to the fact that its working but its not completely the same thing.

i cant suggest anything for your health as i dont know the general condition your in. but drink lots of water(very important), rest if you feel you need it, and try to take a walk or something active to get you breathing again.

I found some juices, no matter what it says on the label just dont get it done like something the same strength from someone else does (different grades/quality of nic maybe? anyone?).

maybe change the equipment up a little, like stated that feeling/taste of the hit helps sooooo much.

good luck and dont give in without a fight. It's tough, you feel crappy at times but everyone is telling the truth, you WILL start to feel better, and dont feel guilty if you slip in a real smoke once in a while, not everyone does a complete switch at once, at first I didnt I smoked 2 or 3 a day then week 2-3 I couldnt stand the taste of real smokes anymore and went nuts with the vaping. 5 weeks in I still think about cigs but cant find any reason to go get one.

for me 5 weeks= 70 packs of cigs=$525 not spent on killing myself.

I almost feel like I'm in the wrong place. LOL Overboard? I won't even mention what I have...or what I've tried and no longer have. I'm sticking to my orginial train of thought...backups, backups, and more backups - and then backups for my backups.

hang in there. Honestly, if you need a smoke....smoke. Let things take a natural course. If you fight the urge to smoke too hard, the craving just gets stronger. Let vaping gradually take over smoking if thats what you need.

In two months I will be celebrating my 3rd anniversary of being smoke free - after smoking analogs for 34 years. I have no desire to quit vaping, but if anything happened that I had to quit (see above mentioned government stuff), I could do it. No way I would ever go back to analogs either. Vaping makes me happy and everyone around here wants me to stay happy (something I don't understand ), so I plan to keep vaping. But...I could see myself quitting, too. I've gone for hours without even thinking about vaping and I never did that with analogs. I'm also known to vape a lot. If I'm sitting in front of the computer or the TV, I chain vape. I think the least I should do is vape for the same number of years I smoked. Seems like the fair thing to do. I've got 31 years to go. I'll decide then.
