  1. Another way to enjoy your favorite stainless steel driptip during the winter. Grab a cover they use to test ejuice at your local B&M. Cover your driptip. ( I take a cart from a V2 set up and tap the end off ) I now can use my favorite drip tip without having to switch to a different one, and can use it when the temp drops to very cold. Hope everyone has a very nice New Year. And don't forget the Greens, Black-Eyed Peas and Cornbread for Good Luck on New Years Day...
  2. To my fellow Veterans, Welcome Home and Thank You for Serving.
  3. The water heater for our house is in the attic, first time I have seen that. ( not very common where I moved from ) First thing I did was enlarge the catch pan and increase the pipe to the outside. Hoping that will do the trick.
  4. Not a nice way to be woke up. After a washer hose blew while we were both at work, I installed 'auto-off' flex connectors. Pricey, but gives me more peace of mind in a 'not made very well anymore' world. ( not hard to install, just like a regular hose. They make them for sinks, washers, ice machines, etc. )
  5. The heat has taken it's toll on some older A/C units my friends have, so I have been kept busy helped them out. Not the same as working on larger units. Nice part, still retired.
  6. Retired last year and I am enjoying it. We did as much planning as you can, not knowing the future. Recently, got a call from my old boss asking if I wanted to do some part time work training his people and getting the equipment up to speed. Kind of miss working on commercial stuff and the idea of passing on some knowledge makes this an interesting offer. But I would have to get up 2 days a week! Plus side is the extra money for vape junk and homebrew supplies. ( and the Waffle House is on the way downtown...) Have to admit, my first thought was how would yellow dog deal with me being gone. Guess I'll give it a try.
  7. And for those with no patience to build, but have time to wait. Clapton Pre-Coil
  8. A wick is Very important in the production of vapor. Cleaned and recoiling a Kayfun for a friend to try and seems I forgot the wick stage. First time for that one. Turned 63 last week; hope it's not a picture of things to come.
  9. Scared of Bozo as a kid Then PennyWise came along and I knew I was Right! Then there is the combo for some people
  10. Watching the British Open at the "Old Course", reminds me of walking with the gallery in 1990 when Nick Faldo won. What I learned playing the courses in the UK the 4 years I lived there: - No practice swings around or near the tee box - You carry your bag or used a pull cart. ( no golf carts ) - You wear a collared shirt and long pants. ( shorts are out ) - My local had very long par 4's which would be par 5's here, and it started ( hole 1 ) as a par 3, and a postage size green. - an umbrella and neoprene gloves are standard equipment for your bag. - learn the art of 'bump and run' for link courses. - You can ( as a non-member ) play the "Old Course". ( must use a caddie ) Weather is going to happen, learn to work though it.
  11. “The Democrats think Republicans are stealing elections. The Republicans think Democrats are stealing elections. And those of us independent of the two old parties know they are both right.” - Kevin Zeese
  12. Born in Georgia, both my mom and dad were born there. Moved when I was very young as my dad was in the Navy. No matter were we lived ( California, East Coast, Hawaii, etc.) we always had a tie to the South with the food on the table and our manner of talk. I was taught early by my dad, that you judged a person by his deeds. My years in the military taught me about trusting others and them trusting you. For me, a person's 'word' is the most important thing about them. Moved to Nashville to retire and have never regretted it one bit. Like Knoxville, it is progressive enough for this guy.
  13. I heard that a trader on the exchange put his 500watt box mod in 'sleep' mode by mistake and this sent a signal to the servers to power down.
  14. Another year with a great lady. How I see it... How she sees it... How it Really is...
  15. I am a Mech Mod only type of person. Thinking of getting the copper Overdose, like the lines. My Nemesis is my work horse; never fails, just does it's job. As they say, when the end comes, only twinkies, cockroaches and Nemesis left...
  16. Have ordered twice, both times were OK. Remember not to be in a hurry. If you need it NOW, there are other sites more suited.
  17. Yes, it is possible that the pin at the bottom of the coil head has moved out. Here is an evod single head with pin removed. This is the entire head, and it is very easy to rebuild with 32 wire and cotton.
  18. Happy 4th! Heading downtown for the fireworks, meet up with friends, have dinner, etc. Didn't move here to just sit in my yard, can do that any day...lol
  19. 'Failure IS Not An Option' Love that title. From Mercury to Apollo, this man shaped our future. In 1961, Alan Shepard lifted off from Cape Canaveral, and I was in the 4 grade. Gene takes us along, explaining what it took to get us into the 'Space Race'. When he started, there was no book on how you do it. He and others, just wrote it... Working with slide rules, rotary phones, they took us to amazing heights. He is best remembered for how he handle the Apollo 13 problems. As you can tell, I really like the space program and this is an incredible book.
  20. Not sure on the exact size, but a digital caliper could put you on the right track. Also, in the future, you could order packets of commonly used Atomizer screws. These are the ones I got from Fasttech to have around just in case. ( they have most in Phillips and Socket head, 20 or 50 pack from 1.50 USD ) M2.0-4mm M2.5-4mm M3.0-3mm M3.0-4mm Hope you find a replacement.
  21. It was time to recoil my kayfuns and Russian clones, since it's Sunday. ( being retired, one day is like another, but old habits die hard...) Not sure why, but watched a video on a chimney build for these and thought I would try, at least for one of them. Never thought about doing one on kayfuns, figured it was for other devices. It really does improve the flavor a bit and better airflow it seems. Time will tell if I do this more often. Old dog learning new tricks... Anyone else with an opinion on these for kayfuns, or another build to try ? P.S. You guys do some amazing things with twisted wire and such. I sometimes live in a Time Warp...please excuse.
  22. I see this as two different problems. 1. A company that clones something. 2. Someone sells a clone as the original. I buy things that are marked 'clone' or 'styled' and do not have a problem with that. I know up front what I am getting. For that reason, I would never buy from a B&M just on their say so...
  23. Welcome to the forum.
  24. Perfect morning. Wind at 2 mph, Sunny. Yellow Dog and I have been sitting out enjoying since early. Why I love Nashville and Tennessee in general. Never regretted the move. ( except that flood in 2010...we got over it and showed me how great the people are here)
