    Congrats on getting him started!

I've got my original eGo 950mAh batteries and two fresh Ce4 cartomizers (and a couple juices I don't care for) all packaged up and ready to use... just in case one of my friends or family decide they want to give it a try. If it gets them off the analogs it will be money well gifted to them!

I made a little space on ONE shelf for a few e-juice bottles, spare tanks, box of coils... that was two months ago!

Today, that whole shelf is just for e-juice, spare bottles, and mixing/measuring equipment! We won't discuss the OTHER TWO shelves

I've saved a ton over analogs, but pretty sure I'm making up for it right now in "hobby accessories", lol (and want MORE!!)

I have a medical background... and I can tell you... YES... hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! And, it is a good idea, now that you're off the analogs, to increase your vitamin intake... a good daily multi-vitamin, and it does not hurt to have extra C and B-complex too. These will help to stave off the food cravings which usually set in a few weeks after quitting smoking. You'll also want to increase your vitamin D intake... get out in the sunshine! 20-minuntes a day of sun gives your body more vitamin D than drinking a whole gallon of milk...

In general, though... leg/foot cramps are a sign of Potassium deficiency. Eat a banana and have that extra couple glasses of water every day, and you'll see those cramps diminish or go completely away! Potassium in a pill form will work, but nothing beats the natural vitamin from a banana... both in quantity and the body's ability to absorb it!

Yeah, I don't see Kanger EVER dropping their single-coil line-up of tanks... From what I see in the shops and online, the KPT2 is their bread-and-butter sales... Sure, they sell others (I know, I have them, lol), but I don't see any manufacturer cutting their throats by going all-dual-coil offerings.

Now, from the flavor and vapor production stand-point on my eGo batteries, I like the KPT3 mini (dual-coil) over the single-coil KPT2 mini or EVOD... but that is just me... For my larger tanks on my MVP, I find very little difference between the KPT2 and AeroTank in flavor... The AT might give a bit more vapor, but also burns juice a little faster.

I made use of the "hit counter" last week, and compared the KPT2 against the AT (same Wattage settings, 1.8 single vs 1.5 dual coil)... and I get more hits per tank when using the KPT2... roughly 50 more! But when flavor is what counts for me... getting more hits per tank is a good thing!?

I guess the next thing I'll need to try is to see how long it takes to empty each tank (ml used each day)... I'm going to guess, it takes about the same length of time (same ml used), regardless of # of hits... because of the nic needs, so am I truly using less juice over the course of the day, when using the KPT2, or just hitting it more often?

Hmmm... need to check that out... time to make a new chart

Yep, it has nothing to do with the length of the wick... sounds like your battery connection pin is pushed down (as Tam said) or the connection pin of the atomizer head is pushed in... or both...

You can also check the center pin on your coil (head, atomizer, whatever you want to call it) and see if it is compressed against the rubber insulator. You can pull it out a TINY bit to make it reach the battery better, but be careful not to pull it too far.

Either of these adjustments are MICRO adjustments... it doesn't take much.

Probably a typo, but 2.8V "will" fire a coil... but the Wattage/Amps will be extremely low, especially on a higher Ohm coil... so it would take forever to achieve enough heat to produce vapor.

Yeah, barely warm... At 2.8V, even using a 1.5 Ohm coil (lowest KPT2 factory coil resistance), that would equate to 5.2 Watts @ 1.9A... hardly enough to vaporize any ejuice, even if you held the button for a full 10-sec.

I've been using dual and single coils in my Kanger tanks... and here's what I can say about the duals:

    Pros:
    Slightly more vapor
    Slightly warmer vapor

    Cons:
    Use more juice per hit
Coils cost a bit more than singles (my duals have been running $0.20 to $0.25 each, more cost over singles)

One thing I tried last week was to compare hits per tank between a single and dual coil ... The single gave me roughly 50 more hits per tank.

The next thing I'm going to try is to see if the "more vapor" also equates to me hitting the dual-coil less often, due to getting my nicotine fix faster? Basically, I want to see if a week's worth of vaping on dual-coil causes me to use more juice than a week's worth of vaping on a single-coil. If juice use is the same between the two, then logically the dual-coils will last longer (mitigating their extra cost) because you're firing them less often... so far, per my previous experiment, about 50-times less per tank-full.

The MVP came with an iClear 30, which is in my box with "parts" right now. A buddy gave me two iClear 16's which came with whatever Innokin product he bought (might have been an MVP as well?), and I tried one of them... it was a lot like a Ce4 in flavor and vapor... and lots of heat..., but WOW, it rolled through the juice! I was not impressed with it... After I used it, I cleaned it and tossed it (and it's sister) in the "parts" box too...

The only thing I like about the iClear 30 is the swivel drip-tip... but I can buy one of those for my Kanger tanks anytime I feel the need. Too bad the iClear drip-tips screw in... or I would have been using that tip on one of my KPT2's (yeah, I know you can get the adapter, but that's too much trouble, they look bulky/ugly, and I can get a whole drip-tip for about the same price as the adapter, probably cheaper)

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I'm always looking for a "simple solution", lol

Jerry, I found a "simple solution" to my tanks too... I used the same hole-saw (without the pilot drill-bit) to cut four more 2" rounds out of that thin, scrap, pine board. I drilled three holes (just slightly larger than the 510 connection, in a centered, triangle pattern) in two of the rounds, then glued them onto one of the "solid" rounds. I did it this way so I would not have to "measure" the depth of each hole, and the solid piece underneath will contain any drips or leakage (protecting my desktop)... yeah, it was the lazy way

Each one holds 3-tanks, keeps them upright, they rest on their bases (not the 510 connection) and unless they get bumped hard, they don't fall over. I may make a few more like this to hold my mini tanks and drip-tips, too. They're small, and sit perfectly on my desk in front of my monitor so I always have a few tanks within easy reach!

I didn't even bother to stain them...

I've been putting my eGo's upright on my desk, but each time I knock one over, I expected to see a shattered tank... laying them flat was okay, but I just prefer them to be standing straight

Personally, I never liked the little plastic stands they sell at the local vape-shop, and hadn't decided on dropping money for a wooden stand, when I feel I can make one for pennies, and have it fit my needs better anyway... alas, I've not (yet) taken the time to build something big, but I still needed something for my eGo's to reside in on my desk....

So, today I was cleaning some odds-and-ends out of my storage boxes and ran across two of those nice, 2" round closet-door handles that I never used (wife wanted pretty ceramics, instead). The handles are solid pine, and nothing fancy, but gave me a great idea for re-purposing them!

I cut some 2" rounds out of another piece of pine (using a hole-saw)... ran a dowel through the hole in the round, into the hole where you would normally mount the handle with a screw... a little glue, and now, they won't tip over!

I drilled a 9/16" hole for the battery to reside in (perfect fit, BTW)... light sanding, a dab of neutral stain... and now I have two, personalized eGo battery stands!

Cost was nothing, and gave me something to do for 30-minutes this afternoon. What do you think?

Absolutely! if you have 10ml of 6mg... mix it with 10ml of 18mg of the same flavor... 1:1 ratio and you'll hit 12mg.

I do this all the time with one of my favorite flavors. I prefer 18mg with most, but that one flavor is a bit harsh at 18, so I mix 1:1 with 18mg and 12mg to hit 15mg... and it tastes sooo much better that way.

Not so much of a "buy" as a "trade"...

Today I traded my two KPT2 minis (and $20) for three KPT2's and three Air Flow Bases. The guy bought them on a recommendation, but didn't like the size of the tanks... he wanted minis for his eGo batteries... he hadn't opened two of the tanks yet, and didn't even put juice in the third!

He used the $20 (we were at the local B&M) to buy 3 EVOD tanks (3 for $21) and got a free 10ml bottle of juice to boot... he was a happy camper... and I'm waiting for my new tanks to dry

While I was out running errands this morning, I stopped by the local vape-shop on a whim... didn't really need anything, but something said "go", so I went

There was a guy there who had bought 3 KPT2's and 3 Air Flow bases from another shop about 50 miles away, on the recommendation of the shop's clerk. But, what he really wanted was KPT2 minis (or EVODs) for his eGo batteries.

He didn't realize the size difference between the standard and mini, and thought they were too "top-heavy" for his eGo. So, he was looking to see if the local shop would buy them or swap them for what he really wanted, so he didn't have to drive 100 miles roundtrip to the original shop to exchange them.

I had my two KPT2 minis in my travel-pack (freshly cleaned and new coils)... so, I offered to help the guy out with a trade and some cash... Hey, they were just spares for me because I prefer my KPT3 minis on my eGo batteries, and the KPT2 minis were just taking up space

I traded him my two minis and $20 (his suggestion for fair-deal) for his three tanks and three AeroBases. I also offered to let him keep the 2.2 ohm coils that came pre-packed with the KPT2's, but he didn't want to bother with opening the other boxes... so he only took the two from the open box! He was happy, and I was jumping for joy!

He took that $20 back into the store and bought 3 EVOD tanks - the local shop sells them @ $7.99 each or 3 for $21, with a free 10ml bottle of juice...

Today was a good day at the vape-shop! Three KPT2's and three AeroBases for $20, and I was able to help out a fellow vaper by unloading two tanks I wasn't using.... so, he ended up with 5 tanks he wanted, a free bottle of juice, and a couple of spare coils without losing money....

I cracked open a fresh 30ml bottle on Sunday the 18th, and just now emptied it ... 12 days later... that's 2.5ml per day average... or 17.5ml per week... in ONE flavor.

My second flavor still has ~20ml left combined in the bottle and pre-filled tanks, so I've only used ~10ml of it in the past 12 days?

I guess my usage is even less than I thought, now that I've found my favorite flavors!

< 20ml per week equals < $4 in juice costs ... or 1/12 of the cost my weekly analog habit!!

Now, if I can just stop stockpiling tanks and coils Hey, at least they were all really good prices, and you can never have too many tanks or coils, right?
