VapeMama got a reaction from tazl37 in whatta ya do fer a living...
I am a nurse. Been one for over 40 years. The bulk of my career has been working with senior citizens in a nursing home/assisted living facility. I have worked in many of them. some good, some not so good and a couple that were absolute hell holes (didn't stay in those very long). The one I'm at now (and have been for almost 3 years) is one of the very best in our area. I dearly love "my" residents as do most of my co-workers.
The hubby works in housekeeping in a local hospital.

It's okay Jason... I hear there's a 12-step program just for us... 12 steps to this vape store... 12 steps to the next vape store... 12 steps to the computer...

VapeMama reacted to Earthling789 in Co-worker is now new vaper!
Now that I'm back in an office (not working from home), I have had LOTS of opportunities to talk to even more people about vaping!
One of my co-workers had tried vaping a while back, and basically started out with an over-priced eGo from a smoke-shop... no support, no knowledge, and obviously gave it up rather quickly... She was asking about what I used, and what would be good for her to get started again. She wasn't really wanting to spend another $100 and get nothing out of it, so I set her up with one of my iStick 20W and a KPT2 as a loaner. I went with her on lunch today and helped her pick out a juice at the local vape shop, which fortunately was only a couple blocks from the office.
I showed her how to adjust the Voltage / Wattage, disassemble the tank, fill the tank, change the coils, etc., and I also gave her a handful of coils I had re-built @ 2.2 Ohm (which are perfect for the iSticks!).
Well, she just sent me an email, asking if I would sell her the iStick and tank, because she doesn't want to give them back She's hooked!
She also wants me to go back with her tomorrow, so she can buy another battery and more tanks/coils/juice.
I told her the blue iStick and KPT2 would be my gift to her, and I had a silver one I'd sell her for what I paid for it (from the VT store), to save her some $ over retail.... So, I guess tomorrow we'll be off to the vape shop again for more juice and additional tank shopping, lol.
I think I'm nearly as excited as she is

VapeMama reacted to Tam in Need help with my vape pen crazy glue question
I can't say for absolute certainty but I think it might be okay for a very short time. You should probably get another battery as soon as possible. A couple of box mods I've gotten lately and really like are the IPV mini, IPV mini 2 and the Eleaf iStick 50w.
With the IPV mini and mini 2, you'll need separate batteries and a trusted battery charger. With the Eleaf iStick 50W, you only need a micro-USB cord as the battery is fixed inside the case. I'd say stay away from the Eleaf iStick 20w because there are problems with that one running much hotter than the display indicates.

VapeMama reacted to Tug in New To Vaping - Can't taste the flavours
Watch as many juice reviews as you can.I'm always looking for something different.Like Bebop said stick with it,it does get better.Mt Baker makes great juice,Virgin Vapor's juice is good too, very flavorful. And of course Fadora Vapor makes an excellent product. The owner Compenstine is very knowledgeable and is a really great guy.He really strives to please your tastes and needs,You tell him what you are looking for in a juice and he won't disappoint.I can promise you that.

VapeMama reacted to Armed Vagrant in HELP!
I have figured out my vapor fatigue problem and the answer is voltage. A few weeks ago I ordered a vision spinner and finally got it today, I loaded my favorite [so far] juice, fuzion vapor round house with cream, which I haven't been able to taste lately, and started messing with different voltages, all of a sudden, at 4.3v it was like an explosion of flavor, man I am so happy! Is there any down sides to doing this?

Tried that, Earthling, but it didn't work so well. *sighs* But on the bright side, I got a great buzz from absorbing the nic through the skin.

A purchase of iStick can't go wrong.
Though the cost of it's one million dong.
Purchased in Saigon
I think it's a come on
With a plug designed by Viet Cong.
Now one million dong's fifty dollars.
Making the shop owners robbers.
Should cost less than forty
Back home I screamed "Lordy"
They cheated me out or ten dollars.

VapeMama reacted to Bebop in Predicate may be the answer to fda regulations
A pipe dream? (Pun intended)
The Holy Grail of hardware manufacturers. The idea that the holder of a 10 year old technology will dominate the market is a little absurd. What I think is the tobacco biggies will survive the FDA and then pass on the costs to the consumer and the consumer will pay "$6 a pack" prices to vape. Meanwhile, we'll be firing up the still hidden in the back 40 and sitting around clutching our our mods and pro tanks talking about the glory days of vaping...

I have both the protank 2 and the protank mini. I like them both, but tend to use the PT2 more since it is a bigger tank. Also the nautilus is nice.
