To each their own, I just cant spend the crazy amount of money on something, especially if a clone can do the same thing. (Not sure if this clone is even any good yet) However if it is, and it does the same thing, spending that extra money on an authentic to me is a waste, cause then your just paying for the brand.

So I decided I wanted to build a unregulated box mod today. I will admit... Next time I will put more thought into it and also buy a battery cradle. Trying to fashion a way to get contacts points to stay in place with no real support was a epic failure... Lol.
I got it together and working, but I'm not impressed. It looks like poop thanks to my inexperience.



I used the 510 top cap from my Cronus clone, a 3amp switch and project box from radio shack, and battery contact points from an old ohm meter that I seriously rigged into place... The positive contact plate is in a cap from a dripper from a bottle of ejuice that I slip the battery into so it maintains contact... This thing has more glue in it then plastic I think... Lol

I would suggest 22g, 24g and 26g of Kanthal both round and flattened. (Not ribbon actual flattened Kanthal)

As far as RDA's and RBA's go... Patriot is a good cheap RDA that is often used with chasing clouds due to easy to drill out airholes and has finned top cap to help reduce heat. I however would love to see the Plume Veil.

I would also like to suggest the DIY side of things such as organic cotton, hemp, or maybe some of the Japanese cotton.

I definitely need to practice my soldering skills though... lol

People freak out about subohming. Yes you should be smart about how low you go and know your batteries but blowing up and venting are two different things. When a battery vents it DOES NOT blow up. It's when there isn't adequate vent holes in a mod that there becomes a problem. And even before battery failure there is a pretty good chance that the mod would get so damn hot you drop it. PG Carries the flavor and adds throat hit. It is thinner so it will wick better.

VG Less Flavor (depending on the Juice Maker) less to no throat hit and creates better vapor. It is thicker and will not wick as easily.

Your Nicotine level will also affect throat hit in both.

I just wicked that build and threw it on my maraxus with a fresh vtc5 holy vape batman... hit like a freight train! I forgot how hot a sub ohm hits, and those coils glow red in a split second. I think I rekindled my love for my mechs... lol

I need a vacation too. If my plan works out I will leave active duty July 18th and be on paid leave till 1 October... I have a lot of vacation days saved up.
