I personally have a preference for SS when using TC, but that's me, and other people might prefer something else. A few of these new mods will work with any kind of wire. One advantage of SS is it can be used for TC or for power mode, something you can't do with Ti or Ni200.

So, what perplexes me is why the FDA isn't going after regulations on grills... they are used in food preparation... Oh, blenders, mixers, refrigerators, ovens, and so forth. This is one of the most disgusting and blatant abuse of authority I have seen in my life.

When I put my Triton in my purse, it inevitably ends up riding around on its side and I've not had leaking or flooding problems.
The iStick 50W has five click on/off button and it will lock the watts/volts to whatever you set it on when you press and hold the up and down buttons at the same time for a few seconds. "Lock" or "Unlock" will appear on the display.

I never close the air control when not using it. What mod you choose depends on what you prefer. Do you like built it batteries or replaceable batteries? What watts do you plan to use, or need? What brand do you prefer? There are so many choices its enough to drive someone crazy.
My favorite tank is the Kanger Subtank Mini, but other people will recommend something else.

You could go simple and get a ijust or maybe a subvod, no VW but they work well. I only have Kanger mods so I can't be much help on choosing a mod, except I can tell you the Top tank mini 75w TC is a good setup, top fill and replaceable 18650 battery. The Pico sounds like a good mod, if you decide on a TC mod try to get one that can use a variety of coils. Ti, Ni, SS, and maybe NiCr.

Hey, Spydre, you're not looking to build your own coils, are you? If you are, I highly recommend the Russian 91% version 2. Earthling got me hooked on that one.
Otherwise, I'm still loving my Aspire Triton 2. It can take a whole bunch of different materials and builds for coils (prebuilt coils) and you can also get an RBA for it at a minimal cost if you want to build your own. The Triton is a top fill.
For batteries, I'm still stuck on the Eleaf iStick 50W although I did venture out to get a Coolfire IV 100TC and an Eleaf iStick 70WTC. For me, I prefer the built in battery rather than having to charge outside the mod. YMMV. There are so many choices out there now that it makes my head spin.

Hey, Werther's originals were my go to candy whenever I tried to quit smoking.  Probably will be if I try to quit vaping, too.

Well in all fairness I hadn't actually owned Vapor Talk since 2012 (though many weren't aware) But then the door knock came "uh...so yea we screwed the whole thing up. Can back?"  Me as if I'd walked into a bedroom with 17 5 years old: "what....the hell have you done"
No but this is actually a great thread. We carry both the Nautilus Coils & the Hercules but if it's not the right ohms etc let me know and I'll get them in my tomorrow evening. Also, customer notes say "chris you're awesome how bout' some free swag" always result in free stuff if I see it in time  If that doesn't work perhaps I can lure you with some Werther's Original. It works wonder on kids and adults alike.

And that is "manufacturing" according to the FDA's new definition of the word.  The last time I checked, changing spark plugs or oil in a car with an identical set of spark plugs or an identical blend of oil was considered maintenance.  The same should hold true for retailers.  If a person is physically or mentally incapable of changing out the 1.5 ohm coil in their Subtank Mini with a coil that is identical in every way and was physically manufactured by a different company, (i.e. another 1.5 ohm coil from Kangertech), or that person is physically or mentally incapable of opening their tank to fill it with their favorite liquid (from a bottle they already own), then that should be considered maintenance, not manufacturing.
Some of these FDA regs make sense on the surface (excluding the extremely high fees associated with the PMTA process), but some of these regs are, in my opinion, a gross misuse of power.  Just because someone says you are permitted to do something doesn't mean you should.  And just because you do something doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.  Just because the FDA says changing a coil or filling a tank for a customer is "manufacturing" does not make it "manufacturing".  Just my 2 cents.
I'll get off my soapbox now.  It's just that these ridiculous regs, along with all the misleading information, partial information or, (in some cases) full on lies, have me rather ticked off.

I know the states sued Big Tobacco and won - enough that for Phillip Morris to appeal in IL, they had to place a bond of 10% of the verdict, which nearly bankrupted them.  Each state got a block grant from the tobacco settlement, to be used for various things.  I didn't know Big Tobacco sued.

I know there is a March planned in, I think, Michigan tomorrow - but considering it's not at the FDA, it's not really saying much.
Is it true that the IRS is counting unsold inventory as income rather than inventory now?  At least that's what that large shop/wholesaler said.  But I'm not sure they've incorporated, either, which is bad news.  They may end up losing a mint over this, and if it's not incorporated?  It all falls on them, not a corporation.  They have their own line, but not the resources to submit every flavor, every nic level.

You know to be perfectly honestly with you, I don't think this is all on big tobacco. I think there are many that want to point the blame but in fact Alteria recently spoke out against the PMTA guidelines. (Who knows though that could just be a PR spin) What I suspect is the FDA probably has a big hand in this on their own. Flexing their new found muscle if you will. But I'd say this is as much on so called big tobacco as it is some of the bigger vape players. I might get some flak for this, but the big ecig names aren't going to be affected by this. Let me re-phrase that, the board members running the large corporate run ecig ventures are looking at this a different way: If they make it through PMTA and companies like NJOY and BLU have the resources to do so (Remember Blu is owned by Lorillard aka Newport/Camel) and all the little guys in this wild west market finally drop out, it's a de facto monopoly. They'll make their money back.
There's a huge market out there that hasn't switched and if the only option is say NJOY or Blu (respectively) they'll probably make the switch. (After all if they've never tried any of the devices we've used, they won't know the difference anyway.) Just wait for a decade to pass by and new vapers won't recall or even know any of this happened.
Thing is, there's a ton of arm chair vapers "up in arms" about this. But there are few, as with most changes in this country, that'll actually go out and do something about it. Sure we've got the big Youtubers/Podcasters/Cassa etc but those guys can only do so much. (and respect to all of them for their efforts) But It's really a power by numbers and the numbers generally rely on these few organizations as their voice. The vaping market is a billion dollar industry these days, that money comes from a whole lotta people. If those people took to march in front of the FDA/Congress or went old school Boston Tea Party mode, I'd imagine **** would hit the fan and we'd get something done. But, everyone's busy, there's a new XBOX game coming out and complacency remiss is probably the country's new motto. The most common comment I usually read on different forums is "well I've been stocking up, I'm good" and that's that.

Not yet though the changes will start to kick in. It's taken me almost this entire time to wrap my head around the coming regulations. (Our legal time drafted up a summery for us finally) I'll likely created a podcast in the next week or so explaining the entire process that takes place between now and 2019. (I'll upload it to the Youtube channel and here once complete)
Give me just a moment and I'll whip up a new post breaking down what everyone can expect (It'll take me ten minutes)

Sorry for the delay, our power was knocked out today and I was quickly sent into the stone age.
And it's less of a commenting period and more of a "heads up before we bend you over" period. My guess is, around August we'll have more information about the actual PMTA application process and what's involved.

Flavoring, PG, and VG should still be available for at least 2 more years. Maybe even longer, they are still used for other things besides ejuice. 18650, and 26650 batteries will still be used for flashlights, and other things. The vape industry will not end we will just have to find other ways to get what we need.

Any online retailer that requires a photo-copy of my DL is not getting my business.  That is begging for identity theft, not to mention, if you give me 20-minutes on my PC, I could easily "forge" any DL you want, with any info and picture you desire....  Requiring a photo ID for online purchases is about as "reliable" as asking someone to validate their age by checking a box or entering their birth-date....
