Not to seem rude, but do you understand the risks involved in this? I wouldn't suggest useing a device, or coil build without haveing a grasp of the overall usage. Can you give us more details on your vapeing experience so we can better help you? Thanks

The crazy thing is that the build was very well done, and perfectly wrapped. He definitely wasn't that much of a newb at building coils. If you are going to build a coil setup for a customer you need to first ask some questions. Like, what battery is being used? How experienced is the vaper? If they aren't very experienced, you need to give them something simple, and not the latest craze.

I know I'm one of the rare types, who started small and slowly worked my way up the chain. I didn't pick up a mech and an RDA until I had researched the hell out of building and safety. Even when I entered the waters, I entered very slow and cautious. Yes of course I wanted to blow huge clouds, but I wasn't going to jump head first without being experienced enough to swim without any fear of drowning.

These new vapers want huge clouds, and they want them NOW. The shops want repeat customers and sales, and if you don't give the customer what they want when they want it, they will go elsewhere. We just need to slow down. One thing I learned from construction and carpentry is that you measure TWICE and cut ONCE.

Go to vistaejuice for free samples. Wish I could drop the pg, prefer 90%vg but for free I can always leave it as a back up.

Before buying any RDAs, get yourself a dedicated ohm meter. That's the most important piece of equipment you can get for building your own coils. Seriously.

You could end up blowing more than clouds if you don't test every build before using it.

First you need to troubleshoot the firing problem. We can't even speculate on wraps by not knowing what size your coil, wrap, and wire is (and material). If it's not firing at all or getting warm I doubt it needs less resistance if you're at 4 or 5 coils in a moderate size wrap. "I would guess" and electricity and explosives dont mix so I modified my first sentence. You need an ohm meter, or provide us what your .ohm load is if you already have a meter. Shoot for an ohm load around 1.5. What size are your wraps, and what guage kanthal are you using? Or are you using something besides Kanthal?

If you aren't getting fire it means there's a short or something and just cutting down the resistance by removing a coil and not knowing the ohm load or if the battery is firing is REALLY dangerous so you need to troubleshoot carefully.

What size drill bit are you wrapping around is what I meant by what size are the coils.

It could be your wires where one wire on the coil is crossing another wire where they are connected at the post. Or it could be a center pin not making contact.

Does the mech mod fire a clearomizer/cartomizer fine or are the two RDA's the only thing you've built so far?

Do you have an ego type battery? Or something besides that mech mod. You need to check the coils on an ohm meter, and find out what is preventing them from firing. I did a quick google search on those batteries, some have internal short circuit protection by means of an internal PCB board according to the post I read on ECF.

If that's the case, then the reason it's not firing is probably because you have a short circuit in your RDA, coil, or the mech mod itself, or your .ohms might be too low for the batteries if they have over current protection, I don't know that they do though. If that's the case and it's short circuit protection holding up the show, and you keep trying to fire it you just may find the one odd chance they have where the short circuit protection doesn't engage, and blow your arm off with mech-mod hand grenade shrapnel.

A mini kpt would fit on your ego-t. As for the dripping atty, I would suggest doing some research and finding out how to build a coil in an RDA, what equipment u need to get, what batteries can be used, and the risks involved before u even think about starting to use dripping attys. watch some how to vids on YouTube and do your research and u will find out what kind of atty you need. Also make sure to use an ohm meter.

If I know our idiotic politicians, they are going to use this story to score quick points by "appearing" that they're doing something useful. The end result will be more freedom taken away and more restrictions on normal law abiding vapers. No to start a holy war here but this is not too dissimilar to the battle being waged over guns. There some very bad people (criminals) who do bad things with guns so the public overreacts and punishes the responsible law abiding citizens. You may not be a gun owner but if you want freedom, you'll support their rights. As i've always said to my non-gun owner friends who *think* that issue has nothing to do with them, I tell them that sooner or later your freedom will be abridged for something you DO care about it. The eCig legislation stories are case in point. I dont know about you but it has never ever occurred to me to drink a bottle of eJuice nor mix it with a drink. But now that someone's done this, the rest of us will be be not only punished but put into the category of irresponsibility.
