I tried and tried at the MGM in Detroit last week to set the one off in my room after being told it was "ok to vape anywhere on or in the property" but smoking was confined to the casino only. I never could get it to go off.

I mean I tried dripping and I guess I just do not get it personally. I know many love it and many love rebuilding things. Personally when my lawn mower breaks, I go buy a new one. Fix it? Nahh I wouldn't even know where to start.

Like I said many times between my wife's 10 tanks and my 12 it is a huge pain in the *** for me to fill them once or twice a week so I cannot even imaging messing with any of that stuff. I would rather just throw 5-6 tanks in my case, 4-5 batteries in my bag and head to the boat ready to vape.

In the end, all our goal is the same and it is hard to believe I have been almost 500 days without a tobacco product touching my lips!

I generally vape mine until it is very low, pour out the last few drops, and refill. I have 12 tanks in rotation and I clean and put in new coils in all of them once every couple months (approx every 5-6 refills) and do them all at the same time because it is just easier for me to do it that way.

I do notice my KPT 2s will get dark and funky a lot quicker than my Davide minis do even though I only use the KPT 2s on the weekend and use the Davide minis all week.

I paid $27 for my 8 genuine Spinner 2s both here and at my other site I order from and never paid more than $16- $18 for any tank (My favorites were $11,99). They are about all I use, Vision Spinners. I have been smoke free for almost a year and a half and have tried everything there is (almost) that is not rebuildable (that you have to rebuild like RDAs and RBAs) and am convinced there is not a better battery on the market. My 1300mah Spinners I bought close to a year and a half ago became my beach-boat-lake batteries after I got my Spinner 2s and have been wet....dropped in saltwater...hell one was even buried because it took me about 15 minutes to find it in the surf and the first one dies last night...the others are all going strong.

I am 100% convinced there is not a better Ego style battery out there when these have lasted so long. My wife even stuck here Spinner 2 with KPT 2 on top into a ceiling fan last weekend sending it hurling about 50 feet to the back of the boat and it never missed a beat.

It all depends on what you want and it boils down to one thing. I have figured out there are two distinct approaches and they break down to this imo:

    1. Simplicity: Plug and play, inexpensive coils, buy enough stuff to last a while and all you have to buy are coils and liquid for a VERY long time. This is for the vaper that has a primary motivation to quit smoking and save money (Me in a nutshell). It costs me about $80 a month for my wife and I combined to vape.

    2. Complex: Rebuildables, APVs, Mods, and the latest greatest BDVC or BDC or BVC whatever is hot at the time. This is the hobbyist with an extensive collection that enjoys building their own coils and usually have a collection. The complex vaper is not concerned about the money saving aspect and treats it like a hobby more than simply a way to quit smoking and save money.

Everyone just has to decide what they want for themselves, there is plenty of room in the Vape Lounge for all of us lol.

It would, but the first link would require you to buy batteries and charger on top of the APV. After all the mods and APVs I own, my go to device is the Vision Spinner II. It's a great workhorse and many on this forum swear by them even though they have experience with other things. I would prefer not to spend so much when something less costly works just as well or better. Just my two cents.

I couldnt agree more with this Chris. It is a disturbing trend to see some of the questions that are asked. I do not chime in because I have vaped for about a year and a half now and never even considered anything I have to build or rebuild because its not in my forte' of skills lol. It really should be an activity practiced by the top few % of vapers that have an honest and true understanding of it.

Like I have said many times, the misuse of Mechs and batteries by noobs not ready for advanced PVs are in my opinion the single biggest threat to the future legality of vaping.

Personally I think Vapers Tongue is sort of mythical a lot like I believe steeping to be. I mean, people say you have to rotate flavors but my wife has vaped one flavor for almost the entire time she has vaped and other than the first couple months so have I. We both quit cigarettes and started vaping the same day, 4-23-2013. For over a year I have vaped Endless Summer from Fuzion 18mg and she has vaped Peppermint from ECBlends in 24mg since her 3rd or 4th week in. Both taste the same from then till now.

I notice you are about 2 months in or a little over. I have a theory that "Vapers Tongue" is simply your taste-buds growing back and functioning correctly so you are actually tasting what you are vaping. There are literally dozens of foods I loved when I smoked that I cannot stand now and even more that I couldn't stand before that I like now. The transformation of smell and taste is so huge it is staggering. I LOVED some flavors when I started that I cannot even stand the smell of now but have vaped the same thing for at least a year if not a little over that with no change in taste or satisfaction.

With that said, it took a couple months for me to find the flavor that my new and improved taste-buds liked. Once I did it made all the difference in the world.

    Just my 2 cents.

I have two favorite flavors, and several others that get an occasional hit as a treat to my tastebuds

It's not uncommon to grow tired of a flavor as you get your sense of taste back from smoking... sometimes you just need a new flavor, and sometimes it is vapor's tongue where you need to switch up flavors and drink LOTS more water!!

Also, be aware of a failing coil or dirty juice. Heat from the coil(s) can cause a "good" juice to go dark and taste funny, especially if you have a habit of topping off a tank before it's half-used, and a failing coil not only will be hard to draw, but can also give juices a "different" taste.

The last post and many others in about every thread show why you have to try for yourself to see what you like. It is VERY difficult to go off what others like. To me, Kanger products are bulletproof and to another they are horrible lol. Its all a matter of personal preference. Some people like to build things and others (like me) like to have things ready to go out of a package. I guess I am a "pay for installation" guy when others like to do the work themselves.

In my experience IClears are awful, not paying $30 for a tank so I may never know about the Aspire Nautilus but people seem to like them. Im just not sure what they can offer I do not get from my Davides and KPTs I already have. I already get too more vapor than I need and the taste is there so I just stick with what works and keep paying about $1 a coil and roll with it.

Reviews and polls and opinions are great but just like any food, drink, or about anything else we consume there will be some who love them and some who hate them no matter the scenario. Trial and error is the only real way to find what is right for you.

Good luck to you. All I use are Vision Spinners for over a year and a half. I have had other things but Mods do nothing for me except weigh down my pocket lol. You do have the backup thing down pat though, always have backups and backups for your backups. Between my wife and I we now have close to or maybe over 20 Vision Spinners with the 8 Spinner 2s we added lol.

bcartervol98 got a reaction from Hunterj124 in Vision Spinner 2 question
For others using them do you find charging them to be quirky? I use only JoyeTech chargers that are supposedly the best and have always worked well but with the Spinner 2s I find the green light will come on and the light will go off on the battery looking like it is fully charged. Then I can take it off the charger and put it back on and it will charge for sometimes a couple more hours.

It almost seems like the feature that changes the light to indicate the remaining charge in the battery may interrupt the charging process. The Spinner 2s fire button glows white when between 60-100% charged, blue when between 30-60% charged and then orange when 30% or less. When charging the light changes as well to indicate how far along in the charging process the battery is. It seems when the light changes the charger stops and I am having to unscrew then reattach the battery to the charger.

Anyone experiencing this or is it me?

If there is one thing that will give the anti-vaping lobby the power they need for widespread bans and legislation it is a Mech mod blowing up because someone didnt know how to properly and safely do it.

Not downing cloud chasers, just saying it has been on my mind a long time. If we as a community put as much emphasis on safety with mechanical mods there is bound to be an inherent risk associated with the activity. Imagine how the non-vaping community will react when and if a hand grenade explodes in someones face?

To each their own. It's not for me, I'm a tank guy and that will never change. I haven't heard of a battery explosion or anything but can see why one would be concerned given the "pushing it to the limits" approach many take especially those not experienced nor equipped to do so.

All I have vaped for about 6 months now is Endless Summer from Fuzion Vapor. I know I rave about it, but none of the other hundreds of flavors I have tried even comes close. It is a Strawberry Lemonade with a little more strawberry than lemon but is just sweet enough with a touch of tartness. Once I started vaping it all other flavors all of a sudden just do not cut it.
