Welcome to the ProVari club. Yeah these mods are great. I can't say that they are the best because it's the only mod I ever used(not counting my homemade contraptions) and even though I can't say it, I like to believe that it is the best. I used to be a firm believer that there was no need for variable voltage but the ProVari has opened doors for me that I hadn't even thought of and even though it isn't a necessity it sure is convenient.

    Banana Cream Pie

I'm not sure what I did but it contains:

    LorAnn's Banana Cream
    Capella Graham Cracker
    marshmallow
    vienna cream
    pancake
    custard

... about 25% combined flavoring, 25%vg and 50% Pg w/ nic. Another winner!! Wish I wrote down the exact ratios.

Have you made something that you are proud of? Post it here and describe it!

    Lemon Meringue Pie

    36mg pg base(flavorless) 50%
    VG 30%
    Capella Lemon M.P. 12%
    LorAnn Marshmallow 6%
    Flavour Art Vienna Cream 2%

    This makes 18mg e-liquid, 70/30 pg,vg

I also used a couple of drops of suclarose but EM (cotton candy) or no sweetener at all will also work.

This is sooooooooooooo good!! No steep time, just mix, shake and vape. I don't have to describe what it tastes like do I?

Getting away from the stinky smell on clothes, hair, car, etc. is the biggest thing for me. Also it's much less harmful to others around you (at least it is in my opinion). Congrats on being determined to make the change. Your body and your family will be much happier/healthier.

Welcome to Vapor Talk NorthernGirl. I'm south of the border from you but NH is one of my favorite states. -- Live Free or Die!

couple of volt's (thank you mike!) on the left, then my v4l manual xl "cigar" colored vapor titan with a 1.7ohm 901 atty and an empire mods drip shield/mini drip tip, then a blue v4l auto king diamond (the same one that's in my avatar with the blue tank), and then a black v4l auto king diamond, and then the 3.5ml dct. i made that little stand/holder, still gotta stain it, but i gave all the edges a "live edge" with my dremel.

As you know there are a number of flavor makers and depending on which flavor and who makes it determines how strong it might be and the actual taste in the end. I can generalize and say that most Lorann candy flavorings are quite strong and need about 10%-15% and Flavourart tobacco flavors are even stronger needing only 2%-6% etc. There are always exceptions so I'd like to discuss what we have learned about any or all specific flavors that we have experimented with so we can all learn more about them.

    I'll go first.

Cookies n Cream by BlueMist DIY Flavoring-- vanilla ice cream with a slight "Oreo" cookie chocolate. Very tasty on it's own. Never tried to add anything to it. Can use 25%, more or less, for a great tasting vape with no perfumy taste.

Graham Cracker by Capella and Tobacco Regular by Flavor West--1st time I've used either of these so I took a shot in the dark and used 10% each in the same mix. I did good. I have a nice graham cracker tobacco now. I actually can't remember if I used less of the tobacco flavor or not but the total flavor % was 20%.

Cuban Supreme by FlavorArt-- A good base for a cigar flavor. Tastes like an expensive cigar but I like to add things such as marshmallow, bavarian cream, English toffee and/or chocolate. All you need is 2%-6% of Cuban Supreme flavor.

Artificial Apple by CK Products--This smells and tastes like freshly sliced green apples with a slight apple candy flavor. 15% is plenty, probably less.

Your clearos that work good with the regular battery will work just as well with the twist set counter-clockwise to the minimum setting. Try that first and then twist it up just a little bit. You'll notice it getting a little warmer and more vapor. Twist it half way and even more so but at about that point you might start to loose the flavor. It's easy to find the sweet spot, just play with it a bit. Most of my clearos are medium-low resistance and I keep my twist half-way or less(4 volts). Some attys, cartos or clearos with a more standard or higher resistance and you will want to crank it to the max(4.8 volts). Do yourself a favor and don't try to read the numbers on the dial, they are so small it isn't even worth it. Just know that counterclockwise is 3.2 clockwise is 4.8 and the middle is 4.0. and fine tune it by how you like it.

I think kitsune is talking about Jeffb's post. Brian is a supplier, who BTW has lots of goodies in his store and used to be staff here at Vapor Talk. I called him Mark once in the comment box and he sent me extra stuff. He said he doesn't mind being called Mark, just don't call him Jeff. lol I don't know how Jeff would feel about being called Brian but I think that's kinda funny. Do there avatars look similar because this is the second time in a couple of days those 2 got mixed up. lol

Laurel, I agree with getting an eGo type battery or, even better, the eGo twist. Here's the type of clearos I like the most and I got them from Jeff's--I mean Brian's store.http://www.theveteranvaper.com/ego-2-4ml-cc-changeable-coil-clearomizer-clear/

A gallon is way to much for a DIYer but it was too easy for me to walk into Tractor Supply and come out with a gallon for a $20 bill. I'm gonna end up dumping about half of it after a year has passed and that's kind of a waste. It might stay good for longer but I don't want to use un-fresh pg. Next time I will get a quart now that I know where to get it. By looking at what's left of my gallon, a quart will last me at least 6 months and probably more and I'm sharing some of my juice with friends.

Brain Storm! I can get a fog machine for the band and use up the rest of it when it gets old. I think those things run on pg also. I hate wasting things.

I wouldn't know what to vote for. They all are reasons why I vape and there are reasons left out also. I know I'm doing less harm to myself and others and the environment and I like to puff on flavorful vapors. I spend a lot less money than when I used to smoke. It's a win, win, win situation for me.

After a few of weeks I'm still lovin' these eGo 2.4ml CC (Changeable Coil) Clearomizers also called T2. They are similar to the Stardust/Vision but easier to fill, easier to change coils, hold more juice and perform a little better overall in my opinion. I got mine from Brian, just click on his link and make an order!

emdcc, eGo mega dual coil cartomisers, work pretty good. I'm not one who likes cartos much. The filler inside them that hold the e-liquid tends to give the juices an extra "flavor" that can clash with the flavor that you are vaping. The emdcc is a huge carto with dual coils and you have to fill it slowly with a lot of juice but those things produce tons of vapor and lots of vapers like them.

One of my go to favorites. This one seems to get better with age, let it steep.

    Lemon Meringue Pie

    36mg pg base(flavorless) 50%
    VG 30%
    Capella Lemon M.P. 12%
    LorAnn Marshmallow 6%
    Flavour Art Vienna Cream 2%

    This makes 18mg e-liquid, 70/30 pg,vg

I also used a couple of drops of suclarose but EM (cotton candy) or no sweetener at all will also work.

This is sooooooooooooo good!! No steep time, just mix, shake and vape. I don't have to describe what it tastes like do I?

I smoked for 25+ years and the last 5 years of being a smoker I tried to quit by almost every method and nothing worked. I really tried hard too. The funny thing is when I discovered e-cigs I never thought of them as something to get me off smoking. I bought it out of curiosity and vaped for the pleasure of it. Then I noticed that I wasn't smoking nearly as much I had been. By the time I found Vapor Talk I was down to a couple of smokes a day so I decided at that point not to buy another pack and to join the forum. It was easy for me because I wasn't going into it as a way to quit smoking, it just happened that way naturally.
My advice to someone who wants to make the switch is to first get a kit(you're going to have to decide which one but we can help with that also) but give it a little time and see for yourself how your desire for anologs decrease. When that starts to happen then you will feel confident about quiting cigarettes all together.

The twist c battery has been the biggest game changer allowing vapers to experience variable voltage at relatively cheap price and with a battery that is familiar to eGo users. Clearos have been getting better; Vision has V3 which is a long wick changeable coil but my new favorite is the eGo 2.4 ml cc(changeable coil), also called the T2 and made by Kanger.
