Stealth vaping (holding for a few seconds and slow exhale) works very well. No vapor at all. I've spent my fair share of time hanging around airports (and on planes) to get very good at it.

Lol! I've heard of the "coffee method" of stealth vaping: take a hit, hold for a couple of seconds, exhale into a hot cup of coffee so it looks like the vapor is coming from that. If I absolutely need to, I'll go the bathroom route if I can't go outside.

That's kind of the mindset I'm going toward. E-cigarettes are still too new and people don't understand. Probably better to go outside rather than to make anyone uncomfortable.

    From Empire Mods:

    2 eGO drip shields
    6 various drip tips

    Sweet-Vapes (12 mg nic, 50 PG/50 VG):

30 ml... *throws up hands in defeat*

Okay, I have no idea what it was that came this time. This is when I went stark, raving mad and ordered a $***load of juice. I think I got 30 ml glazed blueberry donut, Kona cream, Starbuckets Mocha

    15 ml blueberry cinnamon crumble

    6 ml: creamy caramel, lemonade

    From EC Blend:

30 ml 6 mg 50/50 chocolate malt extra flavor

The Vapor Room: 12 mg 75PG/25VG

    30 ml French Toast
    30 ml Vanilla Custard
    15 ml Vanilla Cupcake 50/50

And the folks at TVR pulled a sneaky thing on me.

They added a sample of their cranberry. Never would've ordered that myself -- even to try it out. Um... so I lost my fight against not buying anything more for awhile and ordered a 30 ml, 12 mg, 75PG/25VG bottle of it. *sighs*

    Aaaaand!

We can lay the blame on Blucavvy for the order today: 900 mAh purple Vision Spinner.

Okay, here goes. Click the button five times (not too fast, just steady). The light will flash three times to tell you if it's on or off. How you tell one from the other is to click the button once after the three flashes. If the light turns on while you have the button pressed, that means it's on. If it stays dark = off.

When it's on, push the button and hold it down. Take a "drag" nice and slow with the button pressed. Take your finger off the button when you're done drawing from it. At first, you might not want to take a really big puff until you're used to it. Don't worry about keeping the button pressed down too long, it has an automatic cut off after 10 seconds. Draw the vapor into your mouth first, hold a sec and then inhale. That's usually the best way to do it to keep from coughing.

The first several hits from any new atomizer, cartomizer, clearomizer, whatever -- will more than likely not taste as good as it will later. If you're using a cartomizer, you'll want to blow into the top with a tissue under the part where the threads attach to the battery to catch the whatever they use. Do that a few times and blot gently before filling with liquid. That'll help with the icky taste of a new cart.

If you're using the clearomizer, put liquid into it and swirl it around (tip gently) to let the wick absorb the juice. Let sit for just a little while. I like to give it at least a minute so the wick can get wet enough that it reaches the coil. Otherwise you might get a dry hit and that's not pleasant. :P

Hang in there. At first there seems to be a LOT to learn but it gets better and it gets easier!

Very glad you are giving all this a try, you really won't be sorry. The 'Guys' have given you excellent advice. As a fellow girl vaper, you will very soon be on the right track !!!

Once you get started, don't stress about smoking. If you need to smoke....smoke. The worst thing we can do to our selves is add any undue stress and anxiety. Let things take their natural course. I was one of the fortunates that was able to quit as soon as I started vaping.

    Relax, Enjoy, Vape

    Hello Tammer,

I apologize for not responding to this post sooner I was at the doctors today. I have not been running the support system so my deepest apologies that nobody has gotten back to you. Can you please PM or post your order number (Please do not post any personal information) and I'll look into it ASAP.

Some products in the store are factory direct and not carried locally which could be the reason for the unusual delay. Regardless I'm happy to take a look and see what's going on.

I will be out for a few hours this evening as I need to run a few errands but I assure you we'll get this all squared away by tonight.

    Thanks so much

When I came home today I found a package from Vapelite. My order of 5 Boge 510LR 2Ω Atomizer from Vapelite - $3.50 had come in.

Rixter? Your rec is made of AWESOME!

The attomizers are no brainers to use, gives off a smooth, cool vapor, and the flavor is really coming through. These days the only time I'm not dripping is when I'm in the car driving. Otherwise, I can't make myself use anything else. Now I'm curious how a bridgeless atty will do in comparison. I'm sold on Boges at the moment.

Brian really gave you some solid answers. All that i'll add is that now you can buy what are called "dripping atty's". These are atomizers that have had the bridge and wicks already removed for you. Without a bridge or wick you get a cleaner flavor and a lighter draw.

    http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/brdg5108.htm

that's a really good dripping atty at a good resistance.

Too late. I'm already well and truly hooked on dripping. There's just no comparison in flavor and TH. About the only time I use my clearomizers now is when I'm driving. The only bad thing about dripping is that I find I tend to chain vape and then get dizzy from too much nicotine. Instead of just stopping for a while I switch to lower or 0 nic and keep going.

Between you and Kitsune I think you've created a dripping monster!

i simply don't vape where your'e not supposed to smoke. i see it as a courtesy to other people. right or wrong that's just my opinion.

don't beat yourself up about having smokes now again, not everyone can just quit right off the bat.

I can't wait to try them out! Now that I've finally gotten a handle on dripping, I don't like the clearomizers quite as well as before.

You can just call me "Tam" it's a lot easier to type...

So far, I've tried several reasonably priced atties and listed my results below. Although the ohms ratings were different, I adjusted my voltage to provide the same wattage to each atty so I could be as objective as possible. I also tried several different juices to see if that made any difference, and with and without a variety of drip shields and drip tips.

    1) IKV io6 LR Atomizer 1.8Ω from IkenVape - $8.49 - Great taste and performance, but little harsh at times.

    2) IKV 901 LR Atomizer 1.5Ω from IkenVape - $8.49 - Just got it today so it needs to break in a little, but the great flavor and easy draw definitely suits my taste.

    3) Vapage 510 Hybrid Atomizer 1.5Ω Universal from Clouds of Vapor - $8.99 - Good taste and draw, but popped after only 6 days of moderate usage.

    4) Smok Tech 510 2Ω Atomizer from Sure Vapes - $6.49 - Got this one a couple of months ago, and it still tastes great despite some decline in airflow from major use.

    5) Boge 510LR 2Ω Atomizer from Vapelite - $3.50 - At such a low price and with such good taste and performance, this one just might be my favorite.

All the atties that I tried provided comparable taste and performance, and I can't really call any out as being "The Best", but if I had to pick two, they would be the IKV 901 LR Atomizer 1.5Ω from IkenVape for the easy draw & capacity, and the Boge 510LR 2Ω Atomizer from Vapelite for the excellent price.

    ...and the search goes on...

I alternate between the joye or Riva 510 LR and the 306. The 306 does tend to leak more but burns hotter for a better throat hit.

with or without the bridge work great for me. after awhile liquid builds up on the bridge, so I remove it after about a week or so.

I usually stick to the places I know best.

I've spent my vaping life following Nana's credo and don't regret a single purchase. I've got some catching up to do, but overall I am very satisfied. At the moment I'm investing in Rebuildable Atomizers to prepare for the zombie days (FDA/Senators) and then I hope to invest in DIY liquid attempts, a mini Provari, a purple BuzzPro, a purple SB, a purple ... hmmm, wait, as long as there is a purple anything out there, it's on my list and I'll never be satisfied until I own em all. There's no such thing as "too many" when it comes to purple non-cancer sticks.

Jeez, i'm like a PV horder then. I've got a couple of stick batteries laying around somewhere, 5 ego batteries (a couple out on extended "loan"), 2 LTs, a Mark's Mod, a reo grand (sold my other one), and a GVM mod.

After the loss of my first LT, i had to buy a backup in case one ever turned up missing again.

I have an entire huge kitchen drawer (one for the pots and pans, not the little junk drawer) full of supplies. I've got clearos for days, tank atomizers, repetitious tank attys, empty tanks, a variety of attys, hybrid attys, and cartos in standard, LR, and HR. I've got a bunch of DIY flavors, nic, and mixers, empty bottles, pipettes, and syringes. Also a huge mass of 3-6ml sample bottle of crap juice i didn't like. Not to mention the bunches of batteries!

'eh. At least its better than smokin.

Yes, I'm doing just that! Trying LOTS of stuff. And doing what Kitsune said. Although, you really should pay attention to her name: Kitsune. Japanese fox spirit who is high on mischievous high jinxs. She has lots of great advice but will innocently lure you into more than you originally planned.

Asking questions will get you great advice from very experienced vapers here. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I think you'll enjoy your time at VT. I certainly am.

And now I'm off to ask some more questions about dripping related stuff. Kitsune got me started on that, too!

Oh, and I forgot to say, "Welcome to VT!"

Got home from work tonight and found that my new Ego C Twist arrived.

I should've bought this some time ago. OMG.

Someone said that the numbers were very small and hard to read in another thread. Boy, were they ever right! My eye sight isn't the best anymore anyway so without bright light and some squinting I couldn't make out which way was lower or higher. Finally got it set and gave it a try...

This 1000 mAh is nearly 1 1/2 inches bigger than my 650s but it's not bad. I think I just need to get used to the extra length. lol.

So far I've got it set at the lowest setting (3.2?) and loving the cool vape. The flavor of the e-liquid comes through stronger than I've ever tasted before (using a Stardust V2 right now). Eventually, I'll probably play with the settings but I think I've found my "sweet spot" already.

And talk about great customer service! Brian also included two bottles of e-juice in my order. Thanks, Brian, for not only a great product but also a great shopping experience. You've got a new return customer.

Blucavvy and Tameiki both gave you excellent advice already. When you first start vaping, things are a bit overwhelming...I promise, It will all be worth it. I haven't smoked in over three years now....for me that is a major miracle.

    2. For the most part the cartridges are very inefficient. but yes, fill the cartridge until the filler is wet, may have to pull the filler up a bit now and again. You can pull out the filler, rinse and reuse if you really want to. Now, that being said. The clearomizers are much more efficient and easy to use. As you continue vaping you will find many options and setups....its half the fun...trying new things. atomizers are much better for dripping (drip tip)

    3. dripping (atomizer + drip tip) is much better than the cartridges....getting the hang of dripping can be a bit of a learning curve, but, in my opinion, worth it.

    4. Nicotine definitely affects throat hit, but for me personally, doesn't really affect flavor. Most suppliers use unflavored nicotine in varying strengths. Flavors really depend on the supplier.

    5. 18mg - 24 mg is a good place to start. once you get the hang of things you can lower the nic level if you need. For me personally, I'm ok with the nicotine. still use 18-24mg....personal preference. I like the throat hit. Craving cigarettes is normal, nicotine is a very small portion of the chemicals our body craves when we quit. finding the right flavors and strength help alot.

    6. sore throat will pass. good on water. if you like butter rum, you will like butterscotch. so many flavors to choose from !!!

questions are good !!! They help you and they help others new to vaping. ask away. tons of info on the forum.
