  1. If it were me, I'd toss them and buy a new battery. It's not worth taking the chance of becoming the newest story on the news about a battery malfunction.
  2. If you need something this month, then you don't order from this company. If you can wait up to or beyond six months... make the order.
  3. You're welcome, B.
  4. https://www.vapeshop.com/eleaf-istick-50w-battery/ $29.99 each. I've ordered from this vendor several times with much success.
  5. Good for you! Especially since you're just starting out, being extra careful is never a bad thing. Depending on the mod, the resistance reading may or may not be as accurate as a dedicated ohm meter. Some mods are better than others, but I prefer to not depend on them for my safety.
  6. Thanks, guys. Boy, you two are very quick today!
  7. What's LV? My brain isn't kicking in this morning and can't figure out the initials.
  8. No need to panic... yet. We still have some time, but getting back ups is never a bad thing.
  9. You need to stop looking at the shiny, you're bad for my wallet. Are you taking lessons from @Earthling789? Just ordered two. *sighs*
  10. In my opinion, your best bet is to first find out what you like. Then, begin the stock pile if that's what you want to do. I've got three (or was it four) Russian 91% for "just in case" as well as four buildable decks for the Triton. I'm buying 1.8 ohm coils in 10 box batches as my wallet will allow and keeping those on hand. Should be good for some time.
  11. The subtank is very versatile. You can buy premade coils so it's plug and play or you can build your own. The only thing that I didn't care for, and it's a purely personal preference and nothing to do with the tank itself, is that they don't offer 1.8 ohm premade coils, which is my preference. The 1.5 ohm premade coils run a little warmer than I like. I've built my own coils for it but find it's a pain when I don't have the patience for it. It's also bottom fill, which is fine but I've come to like being able to fill from the top without having to take the whole tank off the battery. The Triton has the 1.8 ohm premade coil so that's my go-to, it's also top fill.
  12. No problem, I was procrastinating on making an order thinking I could get away with not going there for a few more months is all.
  13. It depends on what you want. The premade coils I'm talking about for the Triton and Kanger Subtank are available where I bought the tanks. The Triton I get from Mt. Baker Vaper and the Subtank I got at our own Vapor Talk store. You can also buy premade coils that are just wire at places like Fasttech (it could take a loooong time to get these) or places like Avid Vaper http://www.avidvaper.com/rebuildable-atomizer-coils-with-non-resistance-leads/ I used to spend so much money there. You'll get excellent customer service and even better quality products.
  14. Ugh. I hate whenever I even land on their page because I always wind up buying something else... just like this time. Needed some new jars for make up to make it easier for my brushes to get to it and some larger glass bottles so I can store my juice in them instead of plastic...
  15. http://www.specialtybottle.com/ That's my go-to for bottles, drippers, make up jars, etc. Others go with other places and venders but I've always gotten excellent customer service and product from this vendor.
  16. @Earthling789 @jasonculp @cany @Compenstine @Bebop Hopefully, the guys above will wake up soon and chime in with their recommendations as well. Earthling789 talked me into buying a Russian 91% version 2 https://www.mtbakervapor.com/tanks/the-russian-91-v2/ and I couldn't be happier with that. It's easy to build on, and it just... works. The Kanger Subtank, while it takes prebuilt coils, it also has a build your own option that comes with the kit. Personally, I'm stuck on my Aspire Triton version 2. It also takes prebuilt coils, but you can buy a build deck for it for around $5 that comes with everything you need to get you started. So far, I've not tried building my own on it because the premade coils are very reasonable and I've stock piled a whole bunch of them. Some people complain that the coils don't last long, but I've been using them for well over a week to two weeks or more with no problem. This tank is also good for mouth to lung as well as direct to lung vapers.
  17. No, this is not normal -- even for beginners. We need a little more information from you so we can troubleshoot your problem. What kind of "stick" did you buy? Is it one that looks like a cigarette or a pen-style? Or is it a big, fat round cylinder? Can you post a picture of your set up? That might help. When you say you choke on the vapor, what flavor is it? Do you know how much nicotine is in your juice? The PG/VG ratio? Next time, try pulling the vapor into your mouth first. Wait just a split second before inhaling the vapor and see if that helps. If you can give some more information, that would help a lot for us to figure out what's going on. The person at the store that sold you your set up should've helped you until you were good to go, not let you out of the store with this problem. Grrrr
  18. Earthling... ever the optimist. I'm putting money down that you'll get them before Thanksgiving!
  19. Are you drinking a lot of water? Chain vaping that much will really dehydrate you, which will add to your feeling of not being well. Try getting some lower nic juice for evening -- say around an hour or two before bed and see if that helps.
  20. I'm thinking our resident mixologist @Compenstine might have an idea or two about what's going on with your juices. In my experience, excessive heat tends to turn some juices a much darker color and can give it an "off" flavor just as Bebop said. I've had some juices that I liked a lot turn into an awful tasting concoction when I accidentally left a small carry bottle of it in the car on a hot day... oops!
  21. You didn't mess up at all. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  22. Yeah, boy was Earthling ever grumpy! But now he's the sweetheart everyone adores.
  23. Hi. Good for you to put aside the cigarettes and get onto vaping. I'm going to preface my comment by saying I'm not a doctor nor any medical professional, this is just my opinion. Some of the symptoms you describe sounds like withdrawal from all the chemicals and carcinogens that cigarettes contain. Not all of it will pass in just one week. Some of us have either experienced ourselves or heard from others that it's even lasted a month or so -- the worst of it within the first week or two. Since you started vaping, have you increased your liquid intake? Drinking lots of water is essential because vaping will dehydrate you. Don't increase your coffee, tea, soda/pop, other drinks... just plain water. That will also help to flush out all the toxins and such from your body. What level of nicotine are you using? What tank? Those will also make a difference. If you're vaping a higher level of nic in your juice (or even a low level with a sub-ohm tank), the amount of nicotine will disturb your sleep, especially if you're vaping a lot within an hour or so before bedtime. Losing sleep will worsen depression, lack of sleep will also make you crankier. Try a lower nic juice a few hours before bed or even 0 nic and don't chain vape. See if that helps?
  24. I loved the original Vision Spinner, which I still use as a back up when I'm out and about. Bought two or three Vision Spinner 2s when they first came out and had nothing but problems with mine. Eventually, I traded them in for bigger capacity batteries that are VV and VW, yet are just as easy to use.
  25. Congrats on two great years. I hope you see many more.
