You can change the battery if one goes bad but what about the whole mod? You'll definitely want a back up or five anyway. We're serious about strongly "recommending" many back ups. I've once had four fail before getting one that worked when I was away from home. For non TC mods with built in battery I really love my Eleaf iStick 50W, it sports a 4400 mAh battery so you really don't need to recharge for 3 - 5 days depending on your vaping habits. For TC with a built in battery, the Coolfire 4 is a nice little mod. Both are pass throughs so you can charge and vape at the same time as well.

Finding mouth to lung tanks is getting harder as more people are into the sub-ohm and cloud chasing these days. I really like the Aspire Triton 2 with a 1.8 ohm coil for a cooler vapor. Any particular reason you don't want a mod with built in battery?
-
The Triton 2 holds 3.5 mls and the AeroTank V2 holds 2.5 mls. My Triton lasts me all day unless I'm chain vaping, then I need to refill in the late afternoon. Of course your mileage may vary.

Everything will break down eventually, but that said, the Kanger Pro Tanks have shown they are work horses. The Aerotank V2, which uses the same inexpensive coils, are also very dependable. You can use the single coil (most inexpensive -- I think the Vapor Talk store has 5-packs for $6.99 for single and dual) or the dual coil version. Which one you choose is up to personal preference. I've been hooked on the Aspire Triton 2 lately, it's the only tank I've found that could replace my beloved HH.357 atomizers that I used for years. The coils for those are a bit more pricey but worth it for me in performance.

FDA Deeming Regulation - What we know so far
Tam replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Nice to see some facts begin reported, unfortunately, this article probably won't be seen by the millions of people who need to read it. Thanks for the link, Comp. -
The Vapor Talk store has both single and dual coils for sale at $6.99 per 5-pack. Single coil: https://www.vaportalkstore.com/shop/pro-aero-tank-refill-coils/ Dual coil: https://www.vaportalkstore.com/shop/pro-aero-tank-refill-dual-coils/ I've been using the single coils for... ever now and like them just fine. The dual coils have lasted longer so, for the same price? I'd go with the dual coils personally.

Thanks. The wonderful folks at Vapor Talk are the ones who made quitting cigarettes so easy and fun!

Our own Vapor Talk store is one. Members will recommend many others that they've used and liked. Take a look at the Review Vendor/Supplier thread to see what others like.

What's the resistance of your coil and what mod/battery are you using it on?
-
Use only quality hardware. Learn as much about it and juice (eliquid) that you can. Use common sense like never leaving a charging battery unattended. Only use the intended charger with your battery/mod. Read instructions and follow them. Ask lots of questions and really listen to the answers given. Vaping doesn't have to be dangerous, it can be very rewarding (getting off cigarette addiction) and a fun, new hobby if done safely.

You came to the right place, Laverne. Read past threads for new vapers, those have lots of great information. Ask lots of questions and engage in conversation. We have many wonderfully knowledgeable members all willing to help you.

Do you still have your eGo and Pro Tank? If so, why not give them a try again to see how much of your problem is allergies and cold? When you smoke cigarettes, it really takes a toll on your taste buds' ability to work. It also might be that your taste buds need time to heal from that.
-
And if you're vaping one flavor for too long and can't taste it any more, change to a different flavor that's totally different from the first one to change it up a bit. Helps to reset the taste buds for vaping.

Thanks, B! I'm very happy to have been able to help you with your journey and then watch as you help others.May you see many more years analog free.

Hi Francis. If we knew a little more information, we would be better equipped to help you find a good set up. Please answer the following questions: How many cigarettes (brand and strength) do you currently smoke per day? How mechanically inclined are you? How much do you plan to spend to begin vaping? <-- This will give us an idea of what to recommend. One thing we do recommend very strongly is to buy more than one so you have back ups available in case something doesn't work right, you can use something when the other thing needs to be charged, you lose something and need a replacement right away, etc. You really don't want to start your journey into vaping without back ups -- and back ups for your back ups. Seriously.

After smoking for 38 years, vaping was the only thing that ever worked for me for any length of time. Who knew quitting analogs could be so easy? I sure didn't, especially after all the different things I tried and all the failures. Keep it up, read lots and learn much -- vaping can help you like it's helped all of us on this forum.

MVP 3.0 Pro straight out of box does not power on?
Tam replied to C3nturion's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Sorry, I don't have an MVP so I'm not sure, but with all other mods, that usually means that the mod is fully charged when lights go out. I'd still try changing out the coil to see if that's the problem. Coils that come with tanks and/or kits, are usually not the best in quality. -

Have you tried changing the coil in your tank? Might be you got a bad one... -

Have you tried using it? If the charging light doesn't come on, that's usually an indication that the battery doesn't require charging. -

What did you mean when you said you "assembled" it? It should've come fully assembled and ready to go with a minimum of a 2/3 or more battery charge. -
your "favorite rig" for now until the next new shiny thing comes out.

Most of us on this forum used vaping to quit smoking. Just ask lots of questions, do your homework to make sure you use the equipment safely, go through older threads and read (especially the New Vapers, ask Questions thread), and welcome to Vapor Talk.

Got a CoolFire IV TC100 today from 101Vapes. So far I'm really liking this in wattage mode, haven't tried the TC yet, I'm waiting until I need to change coils in my Triton. The iStick TC is not very impressive for me but I think I may be looking at getting a few more CoolFire IV TC100 in future.
