  1. If you're in one place for a while you can just use an AC adapter and plug in to any wall outlet.
  2. Happy New Year with the hope of many more!
  3. *squeals* PURPLE!!! But there's something about the various indentations on the outside that make the entire cylinder look like... *falls off chair laughing* Um...the rest of me will just be over in that nearby gutter keeping my mind company.
  4. That was great, Mark! Thanks for the peek into what's gone before.
  5. No apologies needed, Chris. Just wanted to let you know that your work on VT is appreciated!
  6. If you're using the link to The Veteran Vaper that Jeff linked you to, the page says it's an eGo-C 2.2 ohm Atomizer Head. I think, at 2.2 ohm, that would still be considered low resistance. Correct me if I'm wrong, guys. If you want lower resistance than that, you might try contacting Brian, the owner of The Veteran Vaper, and he might change it for you. Don't know for sure if he will or not, but it's worth asking. Brian's great to work with. As for the juice, I'd start out at 50 PG/50 VG and go from there to see what you like. Juice ratios and flavors are extremely subjective. What's great for one person will be terrible for another. You'll have to do the trial and error thing to figure out what works best for you. With the battery you're getting, you'll need to get an atomizer like this: http://www.theveteranvaper.com/joye-lr-510-atomizer-matte-black/ or this http://www.theveteranvaper.com/joye-510-atomizer-stainless/ a drip tip, and I would strongly suggest getting a drip shield and you can do the direct drip thing. The first link is to a low resistance (LR) 1.5 ohm atomizer. The second link is for a 2.2 ohm. You can get the drip shield from Empire Mods, be sure to get the one that specifically says "for eGO batteries" in the title description if you want it to fit over your battery threads to hide them.
  7. PG is thinner and carries flavors better. More VG = thicker juice but more vapor. *scratches head* I just got an odd sense of deja vu...
  8. Yeah, but does it change directions at your whim? Have fun and stay safe! You'll have to post a picture of your abominable snowman impression in the snow.
  9. The 1000 mAh batteries are a bit on the long side, about 5 inches and that's just the battery itself. The kit Jeff linked you to has the 650 batteries that are about 3 inches long and much more portable. The 1000 mAh will last longer (by a couple of hours or so), but with two 650s fully charged, that should be more than good.
  10. Welcome! So, are you taking orders for the free Thai food now? Or should we wait just a little bit until you find your footing here?
  11. Before I say anything, would you mind giving us a link to the starter kit for $79.99? Without getting more details of what it comes with and what it is, it would be too hard to tell you if it's a good deal or not. Welcome and glad you're asking questions!
  12. I have a Vision Vivi Nova Mini (the 2.5 ml) version. It's still a bit on the bigger side even on my eGo 1000 mAh. Right now I'm waiting for some sleeves to hide the threads when I use it. It works great, though. Have you ever tried the T2? I like those better than the Stardusts. You can get the Vivi Nova, Vivi Nova Mini and the T2 from Brian at The Veteran Vapor store. Hopefully, you can stick around here for a bit after your next training. I've missed seeing you around.
  13. Try a Vision Nano. It's small so it'll work on your eGo mini. It only holds 1 ml of juice, is a bottom feeder and so far it's worked perfectly for me. I've had two for over a month now and they still work well. Just be sure not to use something with too high a VG content (too thick), and let it set for a few minutes before using for the first time. Glad to see you back, Blu!
  14. From my personal experience vaping instead of smoking has made a huge difference in my lungs. I got a gym membership and contracted with a personal trainer a month before I switched from analogs to vaping. At first I could barely stay on the treadmill at a very low speed and no incline for more than five minutes. About 2 - 3 weeks into vaping I got up to nearly half an hour at the highest incline without feeling like I was going to pass out from lack of lung power at a much faster speed. I don't have to stop at the top of the stairs anymore to try to catch my breath. In the past I sounded like I'd run a mile I was so winded. So yes, my lungs like me a lot better these days, but that's just my experience and I started vaping in May of this year. Your mileage may vary. Good luck with your fitness test!
  15. When I use the tiny stealth adapters I generally have a hard time getting them off the atomizer. When they get stuck I use a small piece of rubber shelf liner to help get a good grip on them. Just cut a small square off and it works great for me. http://www.amazon.com/Grip-Shelf-Drawer-Liner-Black/dp/B000KFSOFI
  16. Hey, no problem. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong with them. Found some thread covers and they're on the way so that should be taken care of soon.

    Ec Blend

I really appreciate your rec, Rixter!
  18. PG is propylene glycol, it carries the flavors better and is much thinner than VG (vegetable glycerin). More VG = more vapor, thicker liquid. Many of the e-liquid vendors (but not all) give you a choice of PG/VG ratio. Personally, I'd recommend a lower resistance atomizer (1.5, 1.8 or 2.0 ohm) and start with a 50/50 ratio of PG/VG liquid. I love the Boge brand of atomizer at 2.0 ohm and either a 50/50 or 60 PG/40 VG e-juice if I'm wanting a lot of vapor. Also, the lower the nic level, the lower the throat hit and more flavor. On one site I saw that they listed 24 mg of nicotine is like a pack of full flavor cigarettes (like a pack of Marlboro reds). 12 mg = lights and 6 mg = ultra lights. I use those numbers loosely but it's a good guideline. Most sites that give you a choice will list the ratio as 60 PG/40 VG or 40 VG/60 PG. If you take a look at the sticky posts in the noobie section of this forum, there's a lot of information there. Also, if you go on the EC Blends site and look at their FAQs, you'll find more information than you could ever want. Good luck!
  19. Um...his post is...invisible?
  20. Dayvape, is the 901 drip shields not supposed to cover the eGo battery threads? I've bought several 901 drip shields and while they go over the atomizer just fine, they sit on top of the threads and looks...unfinished. The drip shields that say they are specifically made for eGo batteries cover the threads and look better.
  21. http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/emegodrip.htm The link above is to the drip shields that are made especially for the eGo type of batteries. So is the link below: http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/egodc.htm The others will...work with an eGo battery but they don't cover the threads like the two links I've posted here. I have several of both types and love them! 510 drip tips (not the 306s) will work with the 510 threaded atomizers. This link: and the comments give information about direct dripping. It's what helped me to get hooked. This one here: talks about the drip shields and what NOT to buy for an eGo battery. Personally, I can't imagine not using a drip shield. It keeps things from getting messy and is very forgiving of people like me who constantly over-drip.
  22. Bill45005, have you read this forum and the various threads in it? If you did, you would know that no veteran vapor on this forum would ever recommend a rebuildable cartomizer to a noobie. That's way too advanced for someone just starting out. When I first got onto Vapor Talk I found a wealth of information given to me from the veteran vapors you so carelessly criticized. They were very careful to give me, a noob of just a few months' vaping experience, a lot of easy to understand instructions, sound recommendations to reputable vendors, and the support I needed to stay off analogs. Whenever I had questions, they answered them in such detail that even I could understand the concepts. Many times I had to ask a lot of questions but they never once lost patience with me and also gave me information with caveats that some things might be above my experience at the moment. Please take a few hours and read through the new vapors threads. Also, the help it broke and general e-cigarette discussion threads. Then, after you do that, feel free to criticize the veterans of this forum.
  23. Seriously, with a 900 mAh device you should be getting much longer vaping time. My 900 mAh Vision Spinner lasts easily 6 - 8 hours of constant chain vaping. http://www.theveteranvaper.com/joye-ego-c-twist-1000mah-battery-matte-black/ I have one of these and it lasts the whole day and then some. Brian, the owner of this store, gives excellent customer service and is very knowledgeable about all of his products.
  24. Welcome and congrats on switching! Like Dayvape said, there are a lot of knowledgeable people here to answer any question you might have! Also, I'd recommend checking out the posts in e-liquid reviews and general supplier reviews.
  25. Even chain vaping on my eGo 650s I still get a little more than three hours of charge. My 650s are also pass throughs so I can just plug it in and continue to vape while it's charging. You say you don't get enough vapor. What VG content are you using in your e-juice? Higher VG means more vapor without having to hit it so often. At 50 VG/50 PG, that puts a thick cloud of vapor around my head...
