  1. Okay, so I've heard both you and @Earthling789 tell me that subohm coils and high watts do not necessarily have to mean hot and harsh vapor. I'm using the Q2 coil and have tried everything from 20W to 50W. The higher the watts, the hotter and harsher the vapor. Yes, the airflow is wide open -- so much so that I can see through to the other side. What am I doing wrong?
  2. Right? That "shinyitis" is pretty terminal... or so I've heard.
  3. The Russian 91% is a good RBA, although these days mentioning anything Russian might not be a good thing. lol
  4. Nice! Looks like this one's full. When are you making some more?
  5. Nice work and good thinking outside the box, Walt!
  6. Got my order from the VT store! Everything was all wrapped in beautiful purple tissue paper... my puppy was dancing around the box he was so excited! He loves any kind of paper and tissue paper has the advantage of making a lovely crinkle sound, lol! The best thing was the note on my inventory sheet that said, "We love you Tam!" Made my day.
  7. Mine's a little over 20 years old so it's not as accurate as I'd like. Need to look into replacing it but it still works for other things...
  8. How about, "Trust your Fluke meter" instead?
  9. Instead of using your mod to read the coil resistance, get yourself a dedicated ohm meter. Even though mods have gotten better, I still don't trust them to give me the most accurate reading -- as you can tell with the fluctuations you're seeing. Better safe than being the next story about something blowing up in the news.
  10. If you put in the word, "tutorials" into the search engine (that small magnifying glass at the top of the page), this section comes right up.
  11. You're welcome. This section is pretty quiet, but hopefully, with tutorials like yours, it'll get hopping again.
  12. Moved to Member Tutorials.
  13. And what does your independent coil meter read?
  14. We all have our favorites, and you'll get some good recs here. Personally, I'm a mouth to lung vaper so I prefer a tighter draw. With that criteria I've been stuck on Aspire Triton 2 for tanks with a 1.8 ohm coil -- this particular tank comes with a fairly huge variety to choose from that it'll make you dizzy. For me, I find that this combination give me lots of flavor, plenty of vapor, and doesn't suck down the juice like some other tanks. Just ordered a Baby Beast so I'll get to experience the amazing disappearing juice trick for myself shortly. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  15. Brush tongue and inhale deeply over fresh coffee grounds.
  16. Computer screen? What? Where???
  17. Like right now I have a 1.8 ohm coil at 8.4W, and it's perfect for the juice I'm currently using. Don't always need high watts to have a satisfying vape.
  18. Just bought... a bunch o'stuff from the VT store including a Smok Baby Beast and a 5-pack of coils, some more Triton coils, an Aerotank and coils along with a few others that will remain nameless until I get them shipped out to friends as gifts. Don't want to spoil the fun.
  19. Moving this over to eliquid reviews section.
  20. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  21. So when you do have leakage issues, what do you do? See? Still listening...
  22. Waiting... are you done yet? I was in an "OMG, I've got to buy it NOW or I'm going to put it back" mood last night so I picked up a 5-pack of the Q2 coils. We'll see how that goes. After listening to you praise this little tank, I finally decided to pull the trigger. See? Yes, I was listening to you... sort of.
  23. After the first year and a half or so I moved away from fruit juices because it seemed like they were all too "sharp" with regard to the flavor. I would add some vanilla or a creamy creme brule to cut the citrus, which is really weird because in my day to day, I love sharp citrus. Mojito was a long time favorite that I still go back to every so often, but I add a little something to smooth it out. My ADV for the past three or more years is an flavor that tastes like the Almond Joy candy bar. I never would have guessed that this flavor would have a hold on me this long. My vaping tastes (pun intended) is so different than my food/drink preferences. Vaping's weird that way.
  24. Thanks for the rec, Walt. I can always count on the great folks here at VT to help me spend my money.
  25. Color me too lazy to go take a look at the specs, but does the tank come with the RBA deck or do I need to purchase that separately? I'm with you, Walt. Don't care for hot vapor at all, I much prefer a cooler vape, which is why I don't go with high wattage.
