  1. Well, then...here's the newest version...the "Neptune".
  2. EmpireMods is an awesome vendor. I just wish they sold a SR or HR version of their Premium LR 1.5Ω 901 atty.
  3. Never had that problem...just the leak where the plastic meets the metal ring. The thing I don't like about them is how quickly the airflow declines.
  4. I was skeptical about carto tanks, too...I didn't see how my 80PG/20VG liquid wouldn't just run out of the bottom of the carto...but mine doesn't leak a drop. All I can say is I have been enlightened. I bought my Boge F-16 tank from Sure Vapes for $5.95 + free shipping, and I guess I just figured that with all the hype, I just had to see what the deal was for myself. Now I can't imagine using anything else (other tanks, I mean). I've used every brand and type of carto, atties (510, 306, IO6, 901, bridged/bridgeless, LR/SR/HR), Vision clearos, ViVi Novas...you name it, but this tank is the best $5.95 I've ever spent on vaping gear. The taste it provides is unbelievable, and the vapor production is off the chain! I'll still use cartos when I'm at work and on the go for convenience, and I'll still drip at home so I can change flavors on the fly, but as far as clearos go, I think I'm through with 'em...my new carto tank is far and away my favorite.
  5. And now...back on topic. Problem solved.
  6. Yeah, I've been using a syringe to fill my tank with, but I just ordered a Tank Filler Drip Tip from CCV for $3.85 + free shipping, which should make things a lot easier.
  7. I had a similar problem with KR808-D1 cartos from EC blend once. The connection end was un-slotted, and no matter which 808 device I tried them on, I got zero draw. I called them and sent pics of other cartos' connections, but they basically said, "Oh, well". If it wasn't for their great selection of juice at really great prices, I would've ended our "relationship".
  8. Never had a single leak with my Nova, but my new Boge F-16 doesn't leak a drop either and my juices easily have twice the flavor compared to the Nova. Have either of you tried carto tanks? As for the leaking Visions, Scotch tape ain't pretty, but it certainly is effective.
  9. eGo Pass-Through VV - $30.99 + free shipping
  10. I just received my Boge F-16 Carto Tank from Sure Vapes and have a question for anyone with experience using an F-16. First of all, the performance on this tank system is absolutely fantastic, and it's going to be hard to vape anything else from now on. The included dual-punched single-coil Boge carto, which metered out to 1.8Ω, has provided the best vaping experience I've had to date, and although I've never used a carto tank before this one, I can't imagine anything else being any better. And now, to the question. The supplied plastic drip tip was a very tight fit in the F-16 carto, and none of my other drip tips will fit at all. The carto takes up all of the space in the hole through the tank covers, which leads me to believe that other tank cartos (that will accept my drip tips) may not fit through the holes in the tank ends due to the possible increase in outside diameter of different cartos. Unless the carto walls are a little thicker on these F-16 cartos making the inside diameter smaller than other cartos, I may be stuck only being able to use F-16 replacement cartos, which prohibit the use of my other drip tips, cost a little more than other tank cartos I've found, and aren't carried by my usual carto suppliers. Does anyone know if other brands of tank cartos will fit through the end cap holes in the Boge F-16 Carto Tank?
  11. Same here. I was a two-pack-a-day smoker and got my first good e-cig (a Leo 800 mAh) on April 8, 2012. I have never had a single craving for a cigarette since that day. Congrats on your success.
  12. I'd send them a picture and if it is is defective and they won't send you a new one, then word will spread quickly about their defective merchandise replacement policy on this forum...nobody should get stuck with bad gear. Be sure to post when you get an answer so we'll all know who to continue to buy supplies from and who not to deal with.
  13. Sounds like a bad atty head. You should be able to max out (and avoid popping a coil) at around 4.4v with your 2.4Ω head...that's a little above a coil-safe 8w. To get the roughly the same 8w vape, try the 1.8Ω head at 3.8v or the 2.8Ω head at 4.8v. As for the alignment issue, my first ViVi Nova Tank had the same problem in that the atty post wasn't completely straight...let the vendor know about it quickly and they might send out another straight away.
  14. Sure Vapes: Boge Mix'n'Match Cartos - 5 Box (3Ω & 2Ω) - $23 Boge F16 Cartomizer Tank (Clear) (My first carto tank) - $5.95 3.5ml eGo DCT Cone - Chrome - $2.49 Total: $31.44 (free shipping) Boge F-16
  15. The one I bought for my dad came in today as well...very impressive device.
  16. My new Vision V3 from sweet-vapes.com is leaking where the plastic tank meets the bottom metal band. I put a piece of Scotch tape around it but now it's really ugly. I've had some tanks that looked identical to this one but without the vision logo on the band and never had a leak. Very disappointing. I haven't complained to them and I'm sure they'd replace it since it's new, but I just haven't had the time or energy to make the effort.
  17. In my experience, if something is going to break, it's going to happen at the exact point when you do something entirely unrelated to the actual problem.
  18. Yeah...I meant a replacement button for mine that has a raised button on it.
  19. Don't get me wrong...the button works fine, but it's just really hard to find without looking. In fact, one of the cool things about this version is that if the button ever gives you trouble, you can replace it. There are replacement "button bands" that can be bought for 45¢, but not one that has a raised button on it. If somebody would come up with one that has a raised button on it, I'm sure they would sell.
  20. Actually, I just ordered one of those for my dad's Christmas present. I love the one I have, but I would've preferred the one with the original eGo button. I use a 3.2Ω Vision V3 Clearomizer on mine at 5v providing 8 watts of power...and it works beautifully. The higher resistance on a battery capable of 5+ volts keeps the current at just over 1.5 amps. That keeps the switch really cool and provides plenty of battery life while still providing plenty of power. I think you're gonna really like it.
  21. I bought an eGo-V with LCD from Ecig-Parts.com, which is identical to the kGo-VV that Sweet-Vapes.com sells, but I wish I had known beforehand about the eGo Passthrough VV that you bought from FreE-Cigs.com. The one I have has a button on it that's almost impossible to find in the dark. that I did on mine just after I got it. I still love the performance, but the flush mounted button is kind of a drag.
  22. Please tell me that you ordered eGo drip shields.
  23. When all else fails, a quality 901, a drip shield, a flood of 24 mg. DK-TAB, and 8 watts on the coil always seems to work for me. Much easier on the noggin than
