  1. Okay, maybe that's a little harsh, but their website refuses to let me check out. First off, I'm not new to buying things online, and I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing when it comes to doing it. I've literally made hundreds of online purchases, many of which have been from vape supply shops, but I've never had the problem that I'm having with Smokeless Image. Here's the deal. I want Comfort Tips...you know, those rubber drip tips that cost a buck or two each around the various vape shops dotting the globe. Well, Smokeless Image has 5-packs of them for...get this...$1.99! We're talking $6.28 total for ten Comfort Tips ($3.98 minus 40¢ for using the discount code "MYVOLT94" plus $2.70 for First-Class Mail). Great deal, huh? My dilemma lies in the fact that every time I click on the "Proceed to Checkout" button, I get sent back to their homepage. It doesn't matter which browser I use or even which computer or smartphone I use...right back to the home page. Same thing, every time, any location I try to do it from. I've e-mailed them, and they say, "Sorry 'bout that...give us a call and we'll do it on the phone.", so I called...and got about five minutes of hold music followed by a message instructing me to leave a message. So being pig-headed (I hate leaving messages), I tried their live chat. I re-explained the problem I was having and asked if I could do the deal on the chat line, and then I waited...and waited...and waited some more. Nothing. This has been going on for months, and now I'm getting pissed! I want the damn Comfort Tips! It's the principle of the thing, you know? I wonder how many lost sales they've accumulated from folks just giving up, or if this is even happening to anybody else...maybe I am the only one who can't make it through the checkout process (or get to speak to or chat online with a real person). Anyway, I suppose I'm getting along okay without any Comfort Tips at the moment, and I guess I'll just have to deal with it...it looks like that's how things are gonna be for a while. That's my rant...hope you enjoyed the drama.
  2. A co-worker ordered his first e-cig today and is looking for the closest e-liquid in taste to his regular brand of cigarettes, Kool Filter Kings. I know, I know...nothing tastes like the real thing, but can anyone recommend a juice that comes close, and where to buy it? You see, I convinced him to give vaping a shot, and I don't want him to be too disappointed from the jump because the first menthol tobacco e-juice he tries tastes like mint candy or something. Having never been a menthol cigarette smoker, I don't know how to compare menthol analogs to menthol e-liquid, so I don't know where to even begin making suggestions.
  3. Gotta love the variable power, huh? (Have you tried to get the 15 watts out of a LR clearo yet?) lol
  4. Set head on fire...put helmet on...exhale smoke.
  5. VAMO!!! Hey, that does sound cool!
  6. ...or is it the same thing and Health Cabin just sells them cheaper because they're in China? *UPDATE* $14.50 for shipping from Health Cabin to the U.S. makes it close to the same price as the Vamo.
  7. Is it just my imagination, or is the Vamo APV the same exact thing as the eGo APV for $20 more? Have a close look at the links.
  8. I see that the various incarnations of the Vision ViVi Nova are getting some play lately, so I thought I'd *bump* this review from back in the summer. Enjoy.
  9. Okay...Smoktech 3Ω flanged tank cartos from CCV fit and have a slightly larger inside diameter than the stock F-16 tank cartos, so my drip tips fit nicely. BTW - still no leaks.
  10. I've often thought about what a great idea it could be (financially) for someone with a smoke shop to carry traditional smoking products AND vaping products. That way, you're taking care of not just smokers but also people trying to quit smoking, as well as people who just enjoying vaping...and believe me when I tell you that there are a lot of us out here. I imagine that every one of us who doesn't have a local vape shop wishes we did. As far as what to get, just hop around the forums for a few minutes and you should have a pretty good idea what the tried-and-trues are. I'd also try tasteyourjuice.com for solid product reviews.
  11. Although I'm not a tank atty user, I'm pretty sure that the spike means it's for a tank cartridge.
  12. I usually vape 80/20 PG/VG Dekang RY4 from VapeLite, but I have tried 100% VG RY4 from Heaven Gifts before, as well as their 100% PG RY4. While the 100% PG RY4 tasted good but lacked good vapor production, the clouds of vapor that the 100% VG RY4 produced had very little flavor.
  13. I pretty much follow the same etiquette as I did when I smoked. When around others, I never fogged up the place with cigarette smoke, and I don't do it with vapor, either. Call it habit, but I still crack the window in the car when I vape while driving (even when I'm alone). I guess I just don't like the vapor hanging in the air and obstructing my view.
  14. sorry. had a little too much coffee this morning.
  15. An 8w vape using my 3.5Ω IkenVape HR 901 drip atty requires 5.3v, which only uses a cool 1.5a, effectively lengthing the battery life (and isn't possible on my eGo-C Twist) . The 4.8v that the Twist provides will only take a 3.5Ω atty to 6.5w, which isn't a very warm vape. I could use an atty with less resistance, but that would increase my battery's current draw. By contrast, the same 8w vape using a 2.2Ω clearo only requires 4.2v, but the current is increased to almost 2a, which provides less vape-time per charge, as well as a hot switch because of it's amp limitation. When using a DCT, many vapers almost double these figures (some to 15w, 7.5w per coil) because there's two coils wired in series involved, so the extra headroom definitely comes in handy for those. V² ÷ R = P and V ÷ R = I, wherein V = voltage (in volts), R = resistance (in ohms or Ω), P = power (in watts), and I = current (in amps).
  16. I used the pocket clip off of a tire air gauge I had. Now when my e-cig is in my shirt pocket, it looks just like an ink pen. Stealthy.
  17. Your stock just went up with me, mcquinn. It's DK-TAB and RY4 for me...you?
  18. Since you've been dripping for a little while, I figure that you know what you're doing now. If your atty isn't performing like your others have in the past, I'd guess that it's probably a defect and just chalk it up to a bad coil wrap or something funky with the wick. Sputtering and/or poor vapor production are usually signs that you have gotten hold of a bad one (duh), but sometimes you can blow them out (from the threaded end), blot the inside with a tissue, and drip a few drops in to get it going. I've had some strangely performing atties come my way in the past, and if said atty continues to act "contrary" (as we say in the Deep South) and all else fails, I just toss it and grab a new one. BTW, have you received your 901s yet?
  19. You are a complete jerk. Why don't you go back to ECF and resume trolling there? I've never seen a single post here at Vapor Talk Forum where someone gets so downright hostile over nothing, and that's the reason I continue to frequent this forum. The people that use this forum are good, friendly folks, and reading your posts just brings me down. Please take your idle threats and I>U attitude somewhere else so we can all go about the business of having fun and getting informed without getting slammed.
  20. I sort of like the idea of having a replaceable battery so when it does finally die, you don't have to toss the whole unit out. I think I'll get that one next.
  21. I run hot water into it and empty it several times, blow out any excess water, and then stick it on a window sill for about a day or so to completely dry out. That seems to get any left-over flavors out. You can follow the rinsing process with a PGA rinse (I use EverClear) to help speed up the evaporation process if you want.
  22. This is Vapor Talk Forum, right? For one horrible moment there, I thought I might be back at the ECF.
