  1. I am guessing they knew. I have a bug out bag for my weapons and ammo. Clothes and items for barter are one drawer dump into a bag. Water and food are less then 5 minutes from here. We are pretty rural so I probably have a few extra minutes than most.
  2. I learned this week that the Dollar Store provides hours of entertainment for a 6 year old for under $10.
  3. Did you mean United Airlines or American? United grounded all flights earlier today. The trains at DIA were stopped because of a fire alarm. There was no fire and the reason for the alarms is unknown. The trains are responsible for transporting people to and from the concourses.
  4. The last house I lived in gave me the creeps. It was a fairly recent built home and we were the second owners. The first couple were elderly and both had passed within a few months of each other. Not sure if they passed in the home or not. I was living downstairs and only stayed there for a few months. I had the worst night terrors while there. I would wake up and start yelling at the dark shadow to leave me alone. It would hover in the door way. My cat was always on edge and would let out a nasty hiss for no reason.
  5. I know many people that vote this way on both sides. Anyone with an R or D by their name and they get the vote. Very sad and frustrating.
  6. I lost count a few weeks ago and decided to find a list to get a head count. OMG! The list I found was huge! It included every party and independent person currently bidding to get on the final ballot. If the people could get beyond the two party system, there might be a hidden gem in that list.

  8. Living in Colorado, we are in a constant state of oxygen deprivation.
  9. Your nicotine level is too high. Try a lower level or go with zero nic. If the lower level of nicotine does not work, then try cutting back on the frequency of puffs. In other words cut back on chain vaping. I see you are from Colorado. Welcome to the forum. Please take note that we are a vaping forum for ecigs only. We do have a "No Drug Talk" rule. Enjoy the forum!
  10. Did anyone happen to watch the Texas Rising mini series on the History Channel? It has a great line up of actors and looked to be promising. What a disappointment. The writing is so horrible, not even the most talented actor could make it work. Who wrote that thing? A bunch of 14 year old boys playing cowboys and Indians? I may give it a go again on Monday, but I don't have high hopes it can be saved.
  11. Did your mod come with instructions? On the manufacturer website it has a manual, it specifically says not to tamper with the device because it will void the warranty. You could have contacted the store you bought it from and either had it repaired or replaced. Never open a mod that has an internal battery! Especially if you know the battery still has some charge left in it. That specific model is supposed to have a safety feature that shuts itself down when there is a short. From what you described, the mod did not shut down and reset. Instead it broke the micro processor inside. Sorry if this sounds like a scolding or I told you so. You learned a lesson and I am hoping that others will learn from this and not open sealed mods!
  12. If you take it apart you void the warranty. The battery is built in according to the website. I don't think that is a good idea.
  13. War movie marathon on AMC for the Memorial Holiday. Watching the Dirty Dozen this morning!
  14. I am ready for this crazy spring weather to move on. By July we will all be complaining about the heat and wishing for rain. Really hoping everyone makes it through this crazy cycle and stays safe.
  15. I am not sure exactly what the plan is. But that whole side of the house will need graded and re-landscaped and adding something to the top of window well as an extension. As for covers, we had just ordered them and were ready to be installed last week. The covers wouldn't have made a difference if they were installed at the time. There are drains in the bottom of our wells, I have no clue why it didn't work. Possibly plugged with mud. Finally today we had water building up in the sump pit and they came and installed a pump. We are such a dry climate that it is standard to build a pit but not add a pump until needed. I don't know what it is about earth moving equipment, but it still makes me stop and become mesmerized. Another builder spent last week digging a foundation. My dad and I spent hours watching the trucks line up like soldiers to haul away the dirt. Oh god, I so need to get back to work.
  16. A week ago we had non-stop rain in CO. It was a Friday and about 7pm, getting ready to head out to the grocery, when I hear a WOOSH! The window well was filling up with water. It flooded the downstairs. I am looking at a huge hole in the dry wall and destroyed carpet. Woke this morning to the window well flooding again. The builder is already out there trying to mitigate the drainage and they are coming to install a pump. They were also supposed to start the repair work on the interior today. That is now on hold. It sucks. I just wish it would stop raining.
  17. Please pass the towel so I can wipe the sprayed beer off my screen.
  18. Holy cow! Didn't realize it has been that long. Time sure goes by fast. Congratulations on 3 years!
  19. Congratulations Earthling! Lovely bride and groom! I love the bouquet!
  20. The house I grew up in the 70's had white carpet that eventually looked beige in the upstairs. The downstairs had yellow carpet. The kitchen had bright yellow counter tops, orange and yellow vinyl with a scroll work type pattern. The window coverings were dark wood with yellow, orange and white thread weaves. The appliances were white and gold. It was also an open tri-level so you could climb over the railings and jump into the next room. The railings were black metal. My parents were into antiques so all the furniture was wood. The formal living room was all Victorian style with a baby grand piano. We even had a formal dinning room complete with a crystal chandelier. The wall paper in my room was kittens in baskets. I miss my wall paper. My best friends house was all done in avocado green. EVERYTHING!
  21. I get this! I can't explain it, but I get it. The word slow just keeps popping up in my head.
  22. I tried a Manhattan. It was okay. Did the Martini thing, got really sick, can't even look at a bottle of gin anymore. What I really like is Sweet Vermouth over ice. Sometimes with a splash of soda to add fizz.
  23. My brother sent this article to me. He currently is a fireman and was doing some research on fire investigation. He thought I might like to share this with the community. Please keep in mind this is an informational article for emergency responders and not meant to be anti-vaping propaganda or regulations. What my brother was trying to stress, by sharing this article, is to charge the battery with only manufacturer supplied chargers and ensure the device is in a safe location away from combustibles while charging. https://www.usfa.fema.gov/downloads/pdf/publications/electronic_cigarettes.pdf
