Jeez, i'm like a PV horder then. I've got a couple of stick batteries laying around somewhere, 5 ego batteries (a couple out on extended "loan"), 2 LTs, a Mark's Mod, a reo grand (sold my other one), and a GVM mod.

After the loss of my first LT, i had to buy a backup in case one ever turned up missing again.

I have an entire huge kitchen drawer (one for the pots and pans, not the little junk drawer) full of supplies. I've got clearos for days, tank atomizers, repetitious tank attys, empty tanks, a variety of attys, hybrid attys, and cartos in standard, LR, and HR. I've got a bunch of DIY flavors, nic, and mixers, empty bottles, pipettes, and syringes. Also a huge mass of 3-6ml sample bottle of crap juice i didn't like. Not to mention the bunches of batteries!

'eh. At least its better than smokin.

The Janty stick was pretty bad. The V1 actually performed quite well but everything went down hill when they released the V2 and V2. I've tried a lot of e cigarettes, to many to count and there was some really "winners" in the bunch. But the worst was probably the e Pipe from china. What a POS that was. The jewel cover fell off, the battery would literally pop out if you hit the cover and performance was laughable. We called it the jack in the box e cig because you never really knew when the battery was going to pop out

Well you can definitely use them with the ego-c battery. It has a standard 510 thread which will work with almost everything out there. I also have an ego-c and have found that when they work, they work well. Although, it has been my experience that the atomizers are so inconsistent that it may or may not work with any given atty. The quality control with the "c" atomizers are minimal if present at all. I've had brand new attys in which the wick isn't even long enough to get close to the coil and I've had some out of the same blister pack that would be wadded up on the coil so as you can see there is no specs that these are being made to. That has been the sole reason for me to leave this setup as a last ditch backup. Now, to the clearomizers. I have used the ego vision (stardust) clearos and they have performed excellent in all regards. They are a top coil mini tank style clearo. Some don't like them but if you've read or watched any reviews on any product related to vaping NOBODY agrees on anything. What it boils down to is you buying it and trying it out. What works great for me may not work at all for you and vice versa. I have also used the ce2 fluxomizers and have had good results. They are a more traditional 510 clearo, they hold almost the same amount of juice as the ego vision but are taller and more skinny in diameter. I have also used a ce3 "smokymizer" and did not have great results. While I did not have good results I know of many reviewers who have had great results with this style of clearo. I think the clearomizers will give you a more consistent vape if nothing else. I got sick and tired of never knowing if the "c" was going to work or not when I changed the atty. That is what drove my desire to try the other delivery systems out. Hopefully this helps, maybe it won't. I am vaping a SR fluxomizer on my LT as we speak so just letting you know I'm actually using what I'm talking about. My wife is currently vaping a SR ego vision on an ego passthrough. We both started with the "c" and it's packed away in the vaping box right now. Good luck with your clearos if you choose to give them a try!

    Happy Vaping

p.s. no leaking at all with the vision or fluxomizer, at least not for me.

I wouldn't trust my $100-$160 mods to checked luggage. I'd carry them with me, but keep the batteries seperate from the mod to keep from being hassled. I don't really feel the need to vape on the plane, but sitting in the terminal waiting for a delayed flight - its a must have item.

If nothing else, just go with the old coffee trick. Nothing works better than a hot cup-o-joe to disguise that vape. Prolly wouldn't work with a 7.4 V monster mod, but works great for PG juice vapes at 3.7v. Just hold it in an extra second and you're golden!

    Good luck!

I skimmed over this thread but while I do agree hardware will become cheaper I don't believe e liquid will. Not because it won't become cheaper to create but because there is simply no need to lower the price. You have to remember at one point e cigarettes where about quiting smoking. This is quickly changing. e Cigarettes are quickly becoming more of a replacement. There is no need to drop the price on e liquid because it's an addiction. It's one of those rare product categories.

Big Tobacco entering the game (which we all knew would happen) will benefit the community in the fact that we can all agree e cigarettes are now unlikely to become banned. After the market has become corporate controlled (and we see this slowly happening) hardware prices will drop to entice new customers while e liquid will probably become more expensive. When I say more expensive I don't mean the price of a bottle will raise but rather than distribution method will change. Bottled liquid will probably be removed from the market over the years with government touting safety. Corporate isn't going to disagree with this and thus no legal fights will ensue. (The profit margin is higher on carto's in the long term) Cartomizers or similar will dominate over traditional bottle liquid and this very delivery method change will cause e liquid to become more expensive by the very fact you can no longer purchase in bulk. Sure there will still be some DIY'ers but most won't go this route. Add in sin taxes that are guaranteed to come down the chain years from now and I'd bet money, you're not going to see cheaper liquid.

We're not selling toasters here we're selling an addictive drug, the same rules don't apply.

I agree with what you said. The huge sweet spot of the market is an analog sized device with an all day battery and efficient juice delivery system. But that is a few years off. I said that this summer will see the emergence of a vv ego with a better vision thing as almost an industry standard. The mini will follow but we ain't there yet.

Hell, a few years ago I used those freakin 801 pens with polyfill and chinese jungle juice and thought it was the bee's knees. Imagine what the next few years hold now that the profit potential is obvious to more and more.

With the internet out there and mass amounts of information out there, I still can see how people can screw things up, not out of stupidity but of plain ignorance. I still feel the it was the consumers fault and him suing puresmoker is just plain stupid. People who are not technologically savvy as others might have problems like these. Do they have the right to sue the companies for themselves screwing up? no. One thing that I hope comes out of this are more detailed explanations and manuals, especially with mods. They should come with detailed instructional pamphlets on usage etc. I know for a fact that there are not many companies out there that include detailed instructional pamphlets with their mods. The e-cigarrete/vaping world is getting big, and we as well as companies out there should start being more professional about business and products just like any other big $$ industry. We need to demand that these safety measures are put into place, not just to prevent horrible accidents like this happening again, but to protect the community and devices that have saved our lives.

All in all, I think this should be something the entire community should be worried about. Companies should start taking safety precautions so this kind of stuff doesn't happen again, and to protect themselves from consumers. Consumers should also demand readily available and accompanied information with products they buy. If we both do our part the only place to go from here is up with better service and a more informed consumer base. If we don't do it ourselves then the FDA will do it for us, and I don't think anyone wants that.

Has anyone been to a radio shack lately? The 17 year old kid at the counter just says, "This should work," and sends you out the door.

    Wow.

I feel bad for this guy, but knowledge is power and you should be using the batteries recommended for your unit. Period.

I doubt we are going to see this incident compared to a cell phone or other hand held device. I'd hate to see what would happen should you shove the wrong size battery in your iPhone. iExplode?

As a mod owner several times over, I'm no expert in electrical engineering, but I do my utmost to keep informed. Stories like this just piss me off. I'd rather have my face intact to vape another day than save a few bux on batteries.

If you aren't going to pay attention to the safety recommendations, just f*ing smoke.

I'm working on my one year vapeversary. I know that my health has improved. I never expected that this journey would take me as far as it has. We have an amazing community of vapers! One of the hardest things about giving up the tobacco was the fact that i would no longer be able to hang out with my smoking buddies. Smoking was a social event for me and trying to quit while being around it i would always find that it was too hard to say no to having a smoke. I didn't like the feeling that was missing something, even if that was 4000+ chemicals. Vaping allows me to still be able to participate in that social aspects of going out on break for a smoke without having to give up all my friends.
Follow the money and you'll see why the "digital smokers" are now public enemy #1. Drug companies, tobacco companies, government. E cigs are f*cking with that revenue and they are going to fight to the death to recap those losses. Health? Well, that comes second.
I am proud to say that i am a non-smoker. I am proud that i was brave enough to take that leap of faith, take a hit to my wallet and leave big tobacco in the ashtray where it belongs. As a smoker i had nothing to lose by trying out the ecig (other than my 99 bux), as a vaper i risk losing my health to uneducated bs FDA public policy. I hope that i never pick up another cigarette as long as i live.

I can understand some concerns because long term tests (10-20yrs) can't posiblly be done or even started yet. But I agree that our own personal findings and beliefs should out-weigh what others have no experience in(MYOB). I am another person who quit quitting until stumbling into vaping. I'm another 27 year smoker who could be dead right now from suicide because of Chantix, which BTW doesn't work. Another 2 year example of how vapor has had no ill effects and too many positives to list. To the FDA and/or whoever else that have concerns: Thanks for looking over my shoulder and keeping an eye out for potentionally hazardous things but until you walk 27 miles uphill in my shoes and 2 miles back down you're opinions mean very little to me.
