When a board is claiming "No Respect" They need to look at themselves and ask the question "Am I respecting others by taking their Freedoms away?"

When I read things like this

"But ban supporter David Sepplin, 54, argued after the meeting that people routinely accept restrictions on their freedoms for public safety."

It makes my blood boil and want them to read Hitlers Mein Kampf, He stated the same.

    Epic win for Fadora Vapors!

What a great selection of flavors! My first experience with vaporizing was with Compenstine and, being the big dumb noob I was, he answered every single dumb question I had, going above and beyond.

    Go there. Now. Go.

    I'll wait.

    Go buy there.

It would seem one of the major frustrations of new users can all be boiled down to one thing… How to correctly pull vapor from an e cigarette.
Unlike a cigarette, it’s advised that you take long, slow drags on each and every owners manual, but most don’t know just how long or how slow they’re supposed to be doing it. Can I get an amen Noobies? OK Moving on…
Once newbies ‘get it’, their other e cigarette issues are secondary. There’s a lot of posts where forum members advise new users to use the proper technique, but it’s all scattered throughout the forum.
So, here you go..I’m doing a ‘guide’ based on using a MANUAL 510, which is one of most popular first models. (This is applicable to most e cigarettes)
    Steps
    1. Press the button for around 1-2 seconds BEFORE you start to inhale
    2. Without letting go of the button, draw on the ecig slowly. Your inhalation should be at least FIVE seconds long guys!
    It’s just THAT easy!
If you’re frustrated because you don’t feel like you’re getting anything, that’s because you’re probably smoking it like an analog, short, quick puffs. It’s what we’re USED to doing, but this is NOT a cigarette.
While ordering a manual PV is strongly recommended for everyone, if you have an automatic version, (where you just ‘drag’ on it to get it started), then you use the same method, you just don’t have to hit any buttons beforehand, so take a ‘primer puff’ and you’re good to go!
Bottom line is, take a LONG drag…at least 5 seconds in length

Feh. Looks like Chris is working on the VT store so I can't link to the charger. He does, however, have the key word links back so you'll see certain words underlined in our posts. Click on those (when the VT store is back online), and it'll take you to whatever it is that we're talking about -- like chargers.

    Hi everyone,

Just found this forum through the Velvet Vapors web site.

Been vaping since 2008, but recently started looking for a new forum that better suited me.

Hope to find a happy home here.

Getting a second tank is always advisable (back ups!), just in case something happens to the one you have.

If you've heard of flavors "sticking around," those are probably in the CE4 style of disposable tanks. The ones like a CE4 do not come apart and you can't change the coils in them. You use them until they don't work anymore - usually around two weeks or so - and then you throw them away.

With a tank like the Kanger Pro Tank mini, you take it apart, rinse well (or wash and then rinse if you want but it's not necessary), let dry, pop in a new coil, fill with juice and...voila!

One tip on the KPT mini. When you're taking it apart, make sure the stopper is in the sink or use a large bowl. The O-rings can come off while rinsing and you don't want the little things going down the drain.

Yes. Your new tank will work on it fine. I'm pretty sure it is a fixed voltage, and will not last too long, but it won't leave you totally without.

You have 2 batteries! The one you have now is small and will not last long, but it will work as a back up until you get another.

So, many of you jumped in to help me get started with vaping, whether it was w/ juice, back up battery or replacement parts. I appreciated every single act of generosity more than I can say. Honestly it renewed my hubby's faith in people (he is extremely jaded). That being said, money is still extremely tight, but since I have received so much help, I decided to try and help others when I can.

Started with the guy that works at the store by my house. He recently started vaping to kick smoking, and I noticed that he was using nasty gas station juice. So we brought him one of our bottles to show him that there are really good quality juices out there, along with a few recommendations on where he can buy quality juice.

Then last week, hubby was approached by a guy at work whose dad is a 30+ year smoker who is dealing with several hope issues. He was asking hubby what all he should buy his dad to get him started. So, hubby, knowing that I have been on this forum night and day asked me to make up a list. I decided to do one better. I put together a vape package. A battery, a tank, and extra coil, plus about 6 different juices in varying nic levels. I included a note with a link to where to buy a charger (I didn't have an extra, and links to online stores with great juices(dad doesn't drive).

So, I will continue on this path. I already feel so much better without smoking. I want to spread the wealth!

So I am challenging anyone that has received help from the vaping community to jump up and help someone else when you can. If I have learned one thing in this journey so far, it is that people want to ask for help, but are too embarrassed to do it, and we can offer help!

    Hugs to all of you!!!

All such awesome information...thanks so much folks!

I hear what you're talking about when you mention the throat hit...when I first tried one of those Blu things it did nothing, then when I was introduced to the item I have now that was the first thing I noticed...how it felt like a real drag. I think that's probably the most important thing that helped me be without analogs this whole week.

But I'm really curious about the different flavors etc so I'm off to do some shopping!

Shhhhh! Bebop! You'll scare him off before we can make a proper vaper out of him.

Just for the record, I've never heard a complaint about anything I've mentioned and recommended. I might have heard a grumble about how much money they spent that they didn't plan to...but they've always been happy with what they got. Lol.

Personally, I would highly recommend a couple (at the very least, and you can buy one or two more later) of Vision Spinner II batteries. These are variable voltage, 1600 mAh so you won't need to be so conscious about what resistance your coils are. The Spinners are what we now call pretty basic but they're extremely dependable and versatile enough to last you quite some time in your learning process. Add another USB charger in case the one you have goes belly up. You won't be without an extra.

Add an AC adapter so you're not plugging the USB charger into your computer or laptop. It's much safer to use the AC wall adapter so you don't risk frying your computer and it also charges faster.

Add at least four tanks. This way you can keep a different flavor in each one. When you want to change flavors you just change tanks. You should be vaping a couple of different flavors throughout the day so that you'll be able to taste them. Something we call "vaper's tongue" is when you vape something so much that you can no longer taste it. Changing to a very different flavor will refresh the taste buds. In absence of that, you could also carry around some coffee grounds and sniff them to refresh your taste buds but that's not as much fun and you won't get the hit of nicotine from it.

Get several 5-packs of coils. My preference is the 1.8 ohm coil. For most fruit juices I use the Spinners at 3.7v. For heavier and bakery flavors like apple pie, coffee, cheesecake, etc. I go up to around 4.0v. You'll find what's right for you with a little experimentation, which is fun.

The Kanger Pro Tank mini (KPT = Kanger Pro Tank) is the same diameter as the Spinner batteries. The full sized Pro Tank is bigger, holds more juice but looks a little like a lollypop. Add some Aerotank airflow bases to the full sized KPT so you can control how much air is getting through to the coil, and you've got a winner and a solid set up.

All you need is a bunch of samplers in juices so you can figure out what you like. The longer you vape and get away from the analogs, the better you'll taste things and your preferences will change. What you loved at first won't taste so good. Some flavors you didn't like...or thought you didn't like before...will surprise you and taste like the sweetest nectar ever. Seriously.

I highly recommend our own Vapor Talk store to get these things I've mentioned. If you get everything in the quantities I mentioned, it will run over $100 - $150 or so. BUT! You won't have to buy much more than juices and spare coils afterword. The Vapor Talk store has the lowest prices I've seen online for most everything. You'll get only genuine brand names, no knock offs so you can trust it, and excellent customer service.

After all this time that I've been vaping, I've amassed quite a few toys in the way of mechanical mods, fancy APV (Advanced Personal Vaporizers), and my go to batteries are my Spinners. They're consistent workhorses that are user friendly, just what a new vaper needs while you're learning. Later on when you're more familiar with the zillion other things out there, then move up. Don't try to fly a jet when you haven't mastered the bicycle yet.

That's my two cents. Others will be along shortly to give you their recommendations.

See that little white thing on the very top of the cartomizer? You should be able to get that off, put liquid onto the filler material (just a drop at a time and don't get any liquid into the center hole -- try not to over fill). Put the cap back on and vape. You can buy replacement cartomizers (with your battery, it's a fixed 3.7 volts), you'll want to stick with either a 1.5 ohm or 1.8 ohm cartomizer. Any higher resistance and your battery won't be able to give you enough oomph to heat the coils before the 10 second cut off.

If you're refilling, make sure to use the same liquid as the filler material will hold onto the last flavor you put in. If you wind up with two flavors that don't play well with each other, it's going to taste nasty. Some other flavors like a fruit and a vanilla would taste pretty good together though.

You can get empty cartomizers for pretty cheap: http://www.litecigusa.net/Smoktech_510_1_7ohm_Single_Coil_Blank_Cartomizers_p/510-smok-1.7-blk.htm

    $6.95 for a 5-pack of cartomizers.

I've done business with Litecig before and never had a problem.

Man, but I had a hard time finding these LR (1.7 ohm) cartomizers. The Vapor Talk store only had 2.0 ohm and up. Same thing with The Veteran Vaper. While there's nothing wrong with cartomizers, they're pretty old school. We need to get you into a few tanks with replaceable bottom coils. Much cheaper and I'm sure you'll like the taste of the juices better.
