Ok, so we left the house at 9 a.m. this morning, picked up a friend of hubby's then proceeded to drive for 2 hours to get to VapeCon. Arrived at 11 a.m. and went to the ticket booth to buy our tickets. First problem. They do not offer a 1 day ticket. You have to buy a 3 day pass. So that stunk, since we could only go today. Can't even give our ticket to someone else, because the ticket comes with a tightly fit wristband that you have to wear.

Stood in line till 12:15 then we were inside. Started off with a bang, we were given reusable bags, and vape calenders (with hot ladies for all you guys). Found a display that gave us each a free shirt and a free hat, woo hoo! My vaping wardrobe is growing! lol Found a few displays that were handing out free samples (sadly all but 2 were giving away 0 mg nic..) Went through the entire hall about 5 times. If you have a smartphone with Facebook and Instagram you could enter raffles and get some more free stuff, but if you don't have that, well, you are out of luck, which we were because we had absolutely no internet connection in there!

We left around 3 pm because hubby's friend had to be home by 5. So, now I will tell you the problems with VapeCon. (I was disappointed).

    1. No single day tickets
    2. Only 1 expo hall, ECC had 2 and an outdoor tent!)
    3. Very bad cell signal, and all vendors wanted you to like them on Facebook to get something free.
    4. This event goes on for 3 days, but you can see everything in less than 5 hours.
    5. Many vendors that were advertised to be there, were not there. (Suicide Bunny not being there really disappointed me!)

    Now here were the highlights:
    1. Local Vape gave out great stuff! T-shirts (good quality!), trucker hats
    2. E Juice To Die 4 gave out juice in a high mg that tastes great. 18 mg
    3. Found and bought 2 new juices. Holy Grail Elixir (Cream Supreme flavor), Mad Vapes, Big City (Seattle flavor)

And on that note, I am going to bed, my feet hurt, and I'm exhausted. So to wrap this up, it was a fun time, but definitely less than ECC. But than again, ECC was my first expo, so I guess that kind of spoiled me....

Ok, so I was lucky enough to get to attend the Electronic Cigarette Convention (ECC) this summer. Now I was informed by my husband that VAPECON will be in the same location as the ECC was (Ontario Convention Center) at the end of this month! Holy cow! Free juice, fun activities, I'm in! Well, I will be if I can afford it.

So, just curious, will anyone from the forum be attending? It is Friday Oct.31 thru Sunday Novemer 2. We would be going on the Saturday event.

Maybe we can organize a meet up there!

The day started out well enough. Hubby and I took our 16 yr old to get his haircut. As we are getting out of the van, hubby somehow drops his vape out of his holster, and the Nautilus Adjustable Airflow tank shatters. Then, after the haircut, we go to get hubby his new shoes, he has been wearing the same pair for about 2 years. Yep, no shoes that fit the budget that fit his feet properly. Then we go to try a brick and mortar vape shop to see if they have a deal on a new tank. Door says they open at 11, its noon, and they are closed. So, now we came home. Defeated and hubby in a grizzly bear mood.

So my question is this, is there any site that sells just the pyrex part of the tank, all the other pieces are fine, just need the pyrex glass part of the Nautilus Adjustable Airflow. I googled it, and came up with nothing...

What a day. And its not even halfway over yet...

No EVOD batteries here, either. I mostly use the original Vision Spinners or Vision Spinner 2 (the purple is lovely). To top it off, when I use a tank, I have the Anyvape Davide mini (much like the KPTminis), but the original 2.5 ml ones that you can't get any more. I do have an Aspire Nautilus mini on one of the Vision Spinner 2 right now as well.

I also use a VTR with an Anyvape Davide (full size) with an Aerotank air controller base, a Magneto with a Magma RDA, a Provari mini with a full-sized Kanger Pro tank with the Aerotank air controller base, and a...

And I'm 5' 1" on a really good hair day.

So, many of you jumped in to help me get started with vaping, whether it was w/ juice, back up battery or replacement parts. I appreciated every single act of generosity more than I can say. Honestly it renewed my hubby's faith in people (he is extremely jaded). That being said, money is still extremely tight, but since I have received so much help, I decided to try and help others when I can.

Started with the guy that works at the store by my house. He recently started vaping to kick smoking, and I noticed that he was using nasty gas station juice. So we brought him one of our bottles to show him that there are really good quality juices out there, along with a few recommendations on where he can buy quality juice.

Then last week, hubby was approached by a guy at work whose dad is a 30+ year smoker who is dealing with several hope issues. He was asking hubby what all he should buy his dad to get him started. So, hubby, knowing that I have been on this forum night and day asked me to make up a list. I decided to do one better. I put together a vape package. A battery, a tank, and extra coil, plus about 6 different juices in varying nic levels. I included a note with a link to where to buy a charger (I didn't have an extra, and links to online stores with great juices(dad doesn't drive).

So, I will continue on this path. I already feel so much better without smoking. I want to spread the wealth!

So I am challenging anyone that has received help from the vaping community to jump up and help someone else when you can. If I have learned one thing in this journey so far, it is that people want to ask for help, but are too embarrassed to do it, and we can offer help!

    Hugs to all of you!!!

What a great attitude! So my bro and hubby drag races slot cars and we were at the track the other night and this lady wants to ask me questions about me vaping....explaining she quit smoking 8 yrs before and she was seriously close to starting back because she was going through a really bad divorce after 32 years. I felt so sorry for her and tried to explain my situation and why vaping might be the very thing she needed. I talked to her for a long time and found a new friend. She texted me the other day saying she bought a new setup and was very happy with vaping and it has really calmed her down and seemed to put her in a better place than she was. It made me feel good that I could help her when she needed help to not go back to smoking.

IMO, this place is much better than any 12 step program I have ever been in. I have only been in 2 and neither helped! In fact the second one nearly put me in my addiction....

Paying it forward, be it juice, hardware, or knowledge is just a way to give back by helping others.

I've never been in a 12-step program, but I feel the best way to kick any habit is to have loving support of your friends and family (like everyone here on this forum)... and helping others overcome your habit/addiction is one of the best feelings in the world!

I no longer keep track of the things I've given away (lost count), but will continue to give what I can, when I can... either basic eGo-starter-kits I've assembled for 'just-in-case-noob' moments, freebies/gifts I've received but won't ever use, or hardware I no longer use/need...

I love how people on this forum are willing to help out others with equipment and juice. But, I also want to remind each and everyone of you that all of you that have been vaping for awhile are paying it forward in another way. That way would be with your knowledge. The way that some you are willing to help us newbies out is amazing.

I hope one day I will be able to speak up and help a newbie to walk the right path of vaping in order to dump the stink sticks in a positive way as many of you have done for me...

Oh, Yeah, I can see it now. The year is 2035, The auctioneer starts out with "Now we have lot #(whatever). A fine vintage 2009 juice made by Fadora with all natural ingredients. What am I bid, yadda yadda yadda". The bidding climbs higher and higher with E-Juice connisouers from all corners of the country battling it out. The auction ending with a winning bid of $5000 for this rare vintage naturally flavored juice.

Might be witnessing the ground floor of a vintage juice craze. Now ya gotta design a line of primo juices, a fancy schmancy label, a juice cellar, an investment club, etc, etc.

Man, I'm gonna get rich........If I live that long.
