Wow. And I even followed all that.
I was basing it on my vaping style, which is to use a 1.8 ohm coil but only at 8W. I go up to 9.4W when I'm feeling adventurous.

Been a long week for me too, Tam... I totally empathize
If Wattage is held the same, the lower resistance coil will draw more Amps, because it has less resistance.  At 10W of power, a 2.2 Ohm coil draws 2.1A, and the 1.8 Ohm coil draws nearly 2.4A.  The lower resistance coil will heat and cool faster, which is great if you chain-vape, so you aren't cooking the juice with a coil that stays hot longer.  For a casual hit with a long draw, the higher resistance coil is better suited, IMO.  Both are so close to not really have much difference in power consumption, but the 1.5-1.8 Ohm coils are a good starting point for the new vaper...
Most people will use a higher Wattage with the lower resistance coil, to achieve a better vape (flavor, vapor production, warmer), so the lower resistance coil will require even more Amps (power) because you'd likely dial it up to 12-13W (if 10W tasted good on the 2.2 Ohm coil).

I hope it all works out!  I really have not made much yet.  @Compenstine has been trying to get all of this through my thick skull... I am glad he is patient!  With my scheduled and resistance to change flavors, he has had his hands full...
They are mostly TFA flavors, repackaged by Wizard Labs.  I should go straight to the manufacturer, but Wizard Labs has been really good to me, so far, and I really don't have enough figured out to need any more than 30ml bottles.
I also forgot to put in the picture that I bought a bunch of empty bottles, and 3 different cherry flavors from Comp this week too.

Received my six boxes of 1.2 Ohm horizontal SubTank OCC coils ($4.89/each) and Kanger SubTank Mini Kit in white ($34) from GearBest today... Shipped from US warehouse in NY, and still made it in 2-days despite the snow!

And, here's some pics of my previous hauls... Sigelei Vr2 50W and Nautilus for the SO, and my Wismec 75W-TC (with black Subtank Mini)

For me the Kanthal has become obsolete. SS is a much better choice not only because it can be used in power mode and TC mode but also it gives much better flavor. There are some that will stick with Kanthal but that is their choice. The only choice I have to make is which grade SS to use, 304 is considered food grade, 316L is surgical grade, and 430 is considered to be ornamental grade. Uwell advertises 316L coils, and Kanger doesn't say what grade they use, but I suspect its 304. The reason I suspect 304 is because running 316L in SUS mode with a Kanger mod I set the temp between 350f - 400f using steam to convert the TCR of 304 to 316L it says I'm running between 400f - 450f no way to actually know what the temp is though. I tried a IR temp sensor on a dry coil but don't get a reading, I probably need a better IR temp sensor. Maybe in the future Kanger will release a update to change it to a 316L TCR curve. But until then I'll just vape at the temp that suits me.

Personally, I have no need for Kanthal TC.  I think the availability of Titanium, and now Stainless makes it irreverent.  This is just my opinion of course.  We are going to get the best TC control (with current technology) with the wire that has the greatest Temperature Coefficient of Resistance. This is because even as measurement gets better, it will just make the higher TCR wires that much more accurate.  I still use Nickle from time to time, but I really seem to get the best flavors from Ti or SS.  I made a Kanthal setup on my Velocity to play with the high wattage available with the RX200 and the flavor wasn't nearly as good as I remembered it.

I think the only coils you should not use for power mode is Ni200, and Titanium, I was using SS for coils long before I had TC. If I remember right you have a 50w Subox mini which I use all the time with SS coils. The new Kanger ssocc coils which are designed for power mode use SS coils. The Uwell crown uses SS coils and people use them quite often in power mode. Right now I'm using a Nichrome coil in TC mode, technology is moving quite rapidly in the vaping industry and your local vape shop needs to keep up.

@jasonculp listed a lot of good links from a reputable site, VapeNW.com... There are also good deals from other reputable sites, such as VaporDNA.com, 101Vape.com, codevape.com, and Sweet-Vapes.com.  Some people have had issues with Sweet-Vapes, but I've not personally had any problems with them for the few orders I've made in their direction.
VaporDNA has the SubTank Mini (top-tank) kit for $50 right now on sale, and 101Vape runs battery sales every 3-4 months, where you can pick up pairs of LG or Samsung batteries for as little as $7.  I'll also recommend the i4 or d4 charger from Nitecore... extra charging capacity is good, and you'll eventually need it, lol

    Kanger Topbox Nano Starter Kit

    Older kits:
    Kanger SUBOX Mini Kit
    Kanger SUBOX Nano Kit

    Batteries (They are not included)
    Samsung INR 18650-25R
    LG HG2 18650
If you have extra money... buy an extra battery, and these:
    Efest Smart Single USB-AC Charger
    Silicone 18650 Battery Case
The single bay charger is a pretty good one but most people buy 4 bay eventually so you can have many spares charged.
One thing you will learn around here is having good backups is nearly as important as having you main all day vape rig.  Another thing you will learn, we love spending other people's money!

The #1 reason. But Liion is a safe place to buy them.  If you have a problem they will take care of you.
They are a great battery.  I will probably never buy another one though.  I just don't need them.  I personally will buy 25R's, LG2's or 30Q's until something better comes along.  I also have a set of HB6's if I need to pull more amps.  (I also have a few sets of VTC4's)
I have no need to pay the premium for the Sony's.  There is certainly nothing wrong with them though.

I finally got my Fishbone + RDA from China yesterday. I guess a month in transit for a sub-$20 RDA that performs as well as this one does ain't too bad. Right now I'm vaping Wastegate by Boosted (Raspberry Cheesecake and Vanilla Ice Cream) and it absolutely tastes more intense now than it ever has. The Fishbone + has a triple-helix airflow design that provides exceptionally smooth pulls for a direct-lunger, too.

It's nice to be able to see inside my dripper.

    I built it with a single .16Ω 2.5mm Ni200 horizontal coil between it's Velocity-styled posts.

I loved the Triton V1, after I got a new tank for it... the original would lock-up juice-flow   The V2 Triton is better IMO because of the abitlity to take it apart and replace the glass if it breaks, lol...  The only complaints I have on the whole system is the coils don't last nearly as long as I feel they should, and the top-cap threading on some of them is sub-par.  Fortunately, the top-cap on mine is pristine, but the coils sometimes don't last more than 4-5 tankfuls before they get too tight to draw or lose flavor... some go 10 tanks... so there is no consistency

Today's snow-covered mail contained my package from VapeNW
One Wismec Presa 75W TC Mod in black ($29.99) One Original Nautilus with bonus spare glass ($19.99) - bought for the SO... she loves them Two Packages of Kanger Ni200 SSOCC coils ($10.99/each) Three Efest-logo 3-battery zipper cases ($1.99/each) - great for carrying batteries, accessories, juice, tanks, etc.... small MODs like a Cloupor Mini and an Aerotank fit perfectly, with room to spare for an extra coil One Palm Pearl 4000mAH power bank with built-in cables ($9.99 on clearance) - always in need of spare power for my phone, lol
I've yet to really handle anything because I'm waiting for them to reach room temp before opening any packages, to reduce condensation, especially on the MOD and Palm Pearl.

    LMAO that is great!
    I guess you are correct.
@iQuit is correct.  Nothing from Efest.  They make some fairly decent batteries, but you have to be very careful.  They released a batch of 35A 3000mah batteries that were proven to be LG MJ1s, a good battery but a 10A battery.  This has been proven by 3 independent testers, on who is a reseller of Efest batteries.  Efest has not only denied it but attacked 2 unpaid testers, who are only looking out for us.  This has turned into a moral issue for me...
I also think for the mod the 25R would be the best battery for the money.  It is slightly out of the continuous discharge range, but, it has been proven to be a very stable battery even if mistreated.
Sony VTC4 would probably be the best, but, unless you go to the vendors I mentioned earlier, or a very trustworthy, well known vendor, I wouldn't buy the Sony.  A good $5.00 25R is much safer than a $9.00 counterfeit Sony.
I also don't recommend the HE2 or HE4 if you are pushing the maximums.  They are great batteries, just not, not nearly as stable when pushed like the 25R.
I can't type short replies....  My recommendations seem to get lost in the stuff I feel like i need to say

You will like the SS wire for building coils, there is very little spring to it, and its not as soft as Ni200 but not as hard as Kanthal either. I got 100m of 28g 316l in vape mail the other day so I will be good for a few years. I use 4 wraps around 3mm and get 0.5 ohms which is good for wattage mode or TC mode so now I don't have to remember what wire is in what tank all of them have SS coils.

I guess what I like the most about TC is you can vape the tank dry without a burnt taste. It used to be when I ran out of juice I would get a burnt taste now all I get is no vape.
