  1. Cool! Keep us posted on how you like the Cloupor Mini-Plus! I have been tempted to pick up a couple to help round out my single 18650 mods.
  2. I finally got my DIY supplies! I hope with @Compenstine's help in his DIY Classes I can make some vapable juice! Even if I can't at least members get 10% off their juice.
  3. I understand! I think all of this stuff is interesting, but not something that I really use every day. I don't care what my mod it set at, or how one is different from the other. If it is too hot....I turn it down. If it is too cold....I turn it up. No matter what the manufacturers, and reviewers say this stuff isn't that accurate. The only thing I expect is for it to be consistent, not necessarily from mod to mod or tank to tank, but when I push the button it gives me a uniform vape from the top of the tank to the bottom. I also want it to keep from blowing the top of my head off with a bad dry hit. Don't get me wrong. I love the technology, the numbers and all of the associated nerdy stuff, but for day to day use, give me a good consistent vape, and I am happy!
  4. Caution a bunch of nerdy crap ahead! TCR is Temperature Coefficient of Resistance. This is a value that tells the mod how much the resistance will change in the coil compared to the change in temperature. Ni200 has a TCR of 6000 X 106 A .175 ohm coil at 58F will be at 2.68 ohms at 572F. SS304 has a TCR of 1016 X 106 A 1 ohm coil at 58F will be at 1.28 ohms at 572F. Kanthal has a TCR of 2 X 106 A 1 ohm coil at 58F will be at 1.0007 ohms at 572F. So the higher the TCR the more relative change in ohms as it heats up. This is why Ni200 is still the most accurate as it changes more (higher TCR) as it heats up. Some mods let you custom tune the TCR such as DNA200 or Joyetech VTC mini to make it more accurate based on the wire you are using. If a mods TCR is set for 304SS (1016 X106) it thinks a .5 ohm coil is 572F when it hits 1.2844 ohms BUT, if you are using 316SS it will be 470F at the same 1.2844 ohms, because it has a TCR of 880 X 106. I hope that isn't too confusing.
  5. 60 watts in power mode is doing good. It really doesn't like my 50/50 juice though. It is trying to flood. I guess I need to try 70 - 75 watts, but I am already spinning from the 60 watts, and I can't see my television for the fog
  6. .25 ohm dual SS coil, 40 watts and 560F It is a bit cool of a vape for me. I think it is a TCR issue. I run my NEBOX at 40/400 and it is much warmer, but with much less vapor... I am liking it, but I may have to lower my nicotine level with the massive amount of vapor. I will try the RBA later with titanium and see if that is closer to what I am looking for.
  7. So far so good on mine. I am very please with the way this thing fits in my hand. It is surprisingly easy to hold, especially for a triple 18650 mod. The crown with the .25ohm SS coil seems to be a great tank. The TCR for 316SS coil doesn't seem to accurate. I have it set at 40 watts and 560F. It will produce some massive vapor, and the airflow is great, but the vape is very cool. It is bumping the temp protection, but is very cool. It is strange. I guess it could be that it has so much airflow, and I have been running the NEBOX which has much less airflow.
  8. I finally got the first 2 shipments of my Vapocalypse panic purchase. Sorry for the terrible pictures. I hope this lasts a while. I hate to say I have DIY supply order on the way, and a cart full of tanks that should tide me over, no matter what happens. (1) Reuleaux RX200 (2) Joyetech VTC mini (2) Wismec Persa 75W TC (1) NEBOX (1) TFV4 Mini (1) Crown Tank (2) Crown RBA (5) Crown .25 ohm SS coils (3) Black Glass for the Crown I am currently vaping the Crown on the Reuleaux. I am having a hard time adjusting to the much larger size, and cooler, but bigger vape. The NEBOX really has me spoiled with it's smaller size, it just isn't the best TC mod out there.
  9. I am really just griping. It all is arriving faster than normal, especially for standard shipping. I am kinda mad that one package was sent with a signature required. This really sucks. The little town I live in does not have mail delivery, only PO boxes. Any time the post office is open, I am at work. I have to call in and go in 30-45 minutes late, just to sign for a package....
  10. lol... I was trying to be funny with the rhyme....didn't work I guess... Slow can't describe some of these companies! For once it looks like the hold up on the two orders I have out are the USPS.
  11. I am still waiting on the RX200...the row boat from China is a bit slow. I really like the looks of the the Herakles Plus. I have just spent way too much this month. Let us know how it works, I might have to break the budget (even more) and pick on up.
  12. Glad you are liking the Nautilus. They are great tanks! Don't let this bother you too much. The 40 watt TC works just like the 30 watt if you leave it in Wattage mode. It might even be a bit more refined. I PIF my last one a few weeks ago, but it was my primary backup for quite a while. I, like you, have had very good luck with the eleaf iStick single battery mods (20, 30, and 40 watt)
  13. I have really enjoyed the D2s I have had. I PIF one and still have one as a backup. The battery cover was annoying until I figured out just how to adjust it to stay on correctly. It looks like the D3 may fix that, but I don't know for sure. The ipv3Li has really gotten great reviews. It is too big for me. I still have an old ipv3. It is a great mod, super powerful, but just too large. The Li really seems to be working well from what I read. The ipv5 is the next one to hit the market. It really looks good and the chipset is supposed to have a lot of features. Temp control with SS, and user adjustable settings through their software. I am not in the market for a dual 18650 mod so I really haven't researched it too much, just reading on various forums, and reddit.
  14. I think the quality of vape decreases so slowly that you don't realize how bad it gets until you recoil/rewick/replace. I normally run the RBA on TC about a week. When I get ready to change it, it is pretty cruddy... It always amazes me how much better a fresh coil/wick tastes.
  15. I really like top-fill. You are right though, I do get a bit lazy and not check my coils, just fill and go.
  16. Be careful when you read about tanks being bad. Everyone will post when they don't work, but, very few will post when they are good. Top fill tanks are prone to leak more because you open the top and loose the vacuum in the tank. I very rarely have tank leaks, unless I get them too low (looses vacuum), let them get too hot (viscosity of juice will get thin), or wick them incorrectly (RBA). Most of todays tanks seem to work better with a higher VG than PG. If people don't do their research and buy some thin juice, they tend to leak. Sorry for going on and on. I don't have a Triton or Triton 2, but have learned that most of the vape related problems we cause ourselves...not all, but most.
  17. I have gone back to 50/50 on everything except drippers. I like the throat hit, and it will wick with anything. I am sure it would be too thin for some tanks, but so far it is working great for me.
  18. Me either. Well actually my budget balances out just nearly perfect....I spend everything I make....
  19. Dangit @cany! If I push through the 2 carts I have loaded up (herakles plus, coils, RX200 silicone cover, VTC mini silicone cover, and the other one with 17 DIY flavors, PG/VG), plus what I have on the way... I will have spent 6 months worth of vape budget.....
  20. I just did some reading on the Herakles Plus and I must say, I am very impressed. I really like the top airflow that adds to bottom airflow, really cool. I would say if you are planning on running it in the 75 - 80 watt that this thing is capable of the triple 18650 mod is going to be a necessity! That being said, I still am not sure if the DNA200 is worth $100 more than the RX200.
  21. The only thing I have that will support high wattage day in and day out is my drippers. If you use RDA's pretty often it could be worth it. I mostly use my little D2 on my drippers right now. I keep the Velocity closed down about half way and run it at 50 - 70 watts with Kanthal. I only use it a few hours a week, in the evenings. I have an old ipv3, but rarely use it anymore.
  22. I really don't know. I have never used a DNA200. I have talked to a few people who feel it it not worth the price difference, and few that say it is worth it. For me, at this time, it is not worth the price. I am trying to load up on spares. I can buy 3 evic VTC mini's for the price of one DNA mod. If Vapocalypse happens, I would rather have 3 mods than one. I personally don't see myself ever needing more than 50 - 60 watts (I have been stuck at 40 for many months) but I got the RX200 just in case.
  23. The DNA200 version has the Evolv board in it. Evolv was kinda the pioneer of temp control. The DNA200 is the "latest and greatest" The main difference is the DNA200 has the ability to use Escribe to change the TCR's and temperature curves. It also allows for quite a bit of other customization such as custom screens, messages, and other cool information such as information about the individual cells withing the lipo. I has also been said that it provides a much more stable, and satisfying vape, but I have a hard time believing it is $100+ better of a vape...lol It has been rumored that all of the Wismec boards are actually made by Joyetech. I feel like this is a good thing. Joyetech seems to be more open to consumer input and suggestions and are pushing the improvements through updates out very fast (see the VTC mini v3.0 software on a less than $40 mod with user adjustable TCR) I want a DNA200 mod pretty bad, but I am really holding out hope the offer the same thing in a 70-75 watt single 18650 board.
