  1. It isn't much help, but iStick 50 is kinda in a class by itself right now. The only thing close is the Joytech VTC in my opinion. If I had to choose between the two myself, the iStick would probably win. Low price, great battery life, and it's simple to use. The only thing the VTC has over it is possibly style points, with the big screen, cool paint, and thumb wheel, and nerd appeal with the TC, which is not a plus by some standards.
  2. I think I see one problem. When in my profile settings, the button bar at the top where you change all of the settings is very hard to read. Here is an attachment: I am getting to this screen by clicking the sown arrow by my name, then clicking settings. Hope this helps!
  3. Like I say...geek factor... I am also curious about a few different type of wires that are not supported by any other device but the DNA200. If you get board and like super techy type stuff check out http://www.evolvapor.com/guide/story.html
  4. I have been thinking about a crown. They are getting pretty reasonable in price and the RBA looks nice. I have a tvfv4 (standard). I never could like it. I tried, it just wasn't for me. The mini looks interesting though. I really like the looks of the Reuleaux, I really don't like large mods. I never carry my dual 18650 mods, and I am looking at a triple? I want a DNA just for the "geek factor" of using the software to build curves. The lipo versions are all boxy so I really like the look of Reuleaux, not to mention the watt/hours of 3 18650s is much better than the lipos that come in most factory DNA200 mods. That is hard to do. I got lucky and found 3 flavors I really liked. Out of laziness I mixed all 3 and I liked it a little better. I sent a samples to @Compenstine because I would rather support his business than the A-holes at my local store. He sold me some Fruit Mash. Mash was the small pieces left over from mixing fruit flavored juices. It got popular, so Frutti Tutti was born. He mixed 15 - 20 different flavors to make it. It has been my ADV ever since. I keep a dripper around and use a coffee flavor in it during the evening.
  5. I personally like the Cthulhu V2, but I don't use it much any more since I switched to the NEBOX. I also like the looks of the OBS Crius RTA. I am really just a single coil guy, but I love the Velocity style posts and build deck of the Cthulhu V2 and the Crius, it is so much easier for me to build on. I really prefer a tank that uses a factory coil in combination with a RBA, just in case. Off topic, but are you enjoying the Reuleaux RX200? I was holding out for the DNA200 version, but am seriously thinking about getting the RX200. The SS temp control really looks intresting, and at $100 less than the DNA version, I may have to pick one up.
  6. I doubt it is getting dry. I run most of my mods in the 40 watt range, but they normally level off at 20 or so when the TC starts working. I am not familiar with the Reuleaux RX200 but in most of mine if it gets to the point that the screen changes, you may need to turn your power down a bit. I have not used SS, but with Ni200 and Ti01 and .25ohm coil, 50 watts should be more than enough. When a you have it set right, you will barely notice it is working. You will have a bit of rattlsnaking as it trys to keep the temp steady. It should provide a consistent vape from the time you fill the tank, until it is nearly empty. It will then slowly get cooler and quit putting out vapor when it gets dry.
  7. I am not really sure what you are looking at, but here are some links to places that I buy stuff: ASPIRE PEGASUS 70W BOX MOD Box only $49 Aspire Odyssey Mini Kit $49.95 Aspire Odyssey Mini Kit with Triton 2 Mini $64.95 NEW Aspire Odyssey Kit V2 $74.95 I personally can not vouch for the setup. It is still a TC box mod, therefore a bit complicated. I would recommend you getting a 5 pack of standard coils like the 1.8 or possibly the .3 and run it in Power Mode until you get used to it, and then possibly moving to the Ni200 later. I have never used the Mod or the Tank, so I really can't say if they are good, or easy to use. Hopefully someone will come along with more information. If you get one of these and need batteries, here are my goto places/batteries: LG HG2 18650, or Samsung INR18650-30Q, or Samsung INR18650-25R 18650 LG 18650HG2, 18650 Samsung 3000mAh INR18650-30Q or 18650 Samsung INR18650-25R R5 Good Luck!
  8. It might, but as much as you tinker with things, you will figure it out. It isn't horrible, it is just not a good board for a beginner, which you are not. It may have been revamped as many problems as they have had. If you get it locked in, it works ok.
  9. That is cool. I grew up in a family "crop dusting" business. It has given me a fascination for all things aviation, and a lot opportunities that I did not take advantage of...lol I guess your job is a lot like they say, "Never go into the kitchen of your favorite restaurant", but a little more serious! I am a sales man, well really a business to business rep., so I, like you really enjoy the road. I only drove about 4-500 a day. I really miss it too. I am currently managing a software installation for our business. I hope to be back on the road in a few months...lol
  10. That is cool, one of fascinations is General Avaition aircraft, well all aircraft... It must be cool to see them made! Sorry, not vape related!
  11. I have seen this. It is interesting, because I though NiCR did not have enough coefficient of resistance to use TC, but maybe they figured it out (I hope so!). I am enjoying Ti for now, but would really like to try SS. I currently don't have a mod with a SS mode. I may have to do some shopping during the holidays. The Wismec Reuleaux DNA 200 looks pretty promising. It is a bit large, but I really like that it has the replaceable 18650's There is nothing wrong with LiPo, I just like to be able to carry extra batteries and swap them as needed.
  12. I personally am done with Sigelei. First they quit using YiHi boards in their mods opting for IMO a far inferior product. Now they have come out with an 18650 battery that is grossly over rated. Sigelei 35A 2500mAh 18650 Bench Test Results...shame on you Sigelei! I expect more out of Sigelei.
  13. I hope you are wrong...lol I hope they improve it. I really like the size, and utility of it, it just doesn't work well. It needs much improvement. I had to adjust the contact for the RBA last night. It took a hammer and punch...lol (The new coils are slightly longer than the RBA apparently) I would love to have something like this mod, with adjustable airflow, a decent chip, and possibly a Pyrex tank. I may go on the hunt for something else soon, but overall pretty happy where I am at. Of course I have a great build for it, have improved airflow on the RBA, and have the settings I need to use for my juice figured out. I just read up on the Aspire Pegasus, and it looks pretty sweet. It would be a good basic mod in Ka (Power) mode and will give you room to grow if you want to get back into Temp Control at a later date. It looks like it has both Ni and Ti support. I also like the charging dock, but it really should come with it for the price. I do like that it comes with a Triton V2 (if you buy the kit) It looks like they are coming up with a Pegasus Mini kit too. It really looks more the size like I would want. I really like the smaller mods like the IPV D2, D3, and VTC mini.
  14. With my Ti (.35-.45 ohm)build on the NEBOX, which is very simular to the build I use in the Cthulhu, I set it at 400F and 40 watts, but it seems to settle at 18-20watts while I am vaping it on the NEBOX. My D2 and VTC mini I have to set to Max (580+) on the Temp and 30watts/joules and it seems to settle in the 20 - 25 watt/joule range while I am vaping it. I think the curves on the VTC and D2 are not as hot as they should be. What I am trying to get to with that rambling explanation is that I guess I require a bit more wicking due to the higher wattages I am running. The factory coils on the NEBOX (SSOCC Ni200 .15 ohm coils) require nearly the same wattage, but seem to be a bit cooler vape and don't completely vaporize the liquid, but wick lick a beast! I have not used the standard (wattage) coils.
  15. This makes sense to me. It seems I run a higher wattage, lower nicotine, and vape a whole lot more of the High VG juices. I am kinda strange in the fact that I seem to have more issues in my throat with higher VG juices than I do with high PG juices. I don't have pain, or problems, but will start to loose my voice on days where I am chain vaping. It also could be that I am not drinking enough water. I tend to drink much less when I am working in the store. I also drink much more coffee. When I am on the road, I am a water recycling machine. I feel guilty stopping at a convenience store to get rid of the last bottle of water that I drank, so I buy another, and the cycle continues all day, and into the night. I also have a lot of trouble in the summer with my 50/50 juices due to the high temperature in the car. I can't take my mod out of the car and into a plant, or a customers' place, so I leave it in the car. I have learned to store them tank down in an insulated can coozie in my cup holder. It isn't perfect, but it is better than coming back to the car and finding it all leaked into my mod and cup holder. This time of the year the problem will be the opposite and my juice will get so thick, that it won't wick properly.
  16. When I started I used 60PG/40VG. I moved down to 50/50 and stayed there for a long time. I then jumped on the High VG band wagon, and stayed there a long time. I have now settled on either 50/50 or 60VG/40PG. I do get a better flavor with the higher PG, plus I like the throat hit. It also will wick in just about any tank with minimal effort. I am not into clouds, but I use devices that are high airflow and do produce quite a bit of vapor, so I have to be a bit more discrete in public.
  17. Don't get too hung up on the numbers, they will drive you crazy. On the juice, if you need a bit more throat hit, up the PG. If it isn't satisfying your cravings up the Nicotine. If it is too harsh up the VG. If you are getting dizzy or sick to your stomach, lower you Nicotine (or slow down vaping a bit). On the mod, if it is too cool, turn it up. If starts tasting burnt, turn it down. I don't mean to sound like I am over simplifying this, but we all do it. I am one of the worst, but I am getting better. If I put a tank on one TC mod and set it to 400F, and then put it on another, I expect it to be the same...it never is. Every tank, every mod, every juice, and sometimes every coil is different. You will eventually get used to what works for that juice in that tank, on that mod and have a good estimate, but you will still catch yourself turning it up and down a bit through out the day.
  18. A 25R is probably one of the best batteries on the market for the money. The LG HG2 will last a bit longer, but they cost a couple of dollars more. I keep about 4 on me all of the time and charge them on a separate charger. I personally had rather change batteries once a day than wait on the USB chargers. If the single 18650 mods are not cutting it for you, you might look into dual 18650 mods or possibly one with a big lipo installed.
  19. WOW! That will be some well traveled vape gear! I guess a lot of it originated in China so had to make the trip to the US before making it's way to Iraq! It kinda bums me out a bit that you have to go through all of that. It shouldn't be that hard. I'm glad you are getting soon, and I hope you enjoy it!
  20. I am extremely picky when it comes to my juice. The only thing I can vape all day every day is Fadora Vapor's Frutti-Tutti. I have really tried to find some other flavors to switch out with to add variety, but I just can't find it. I do keep a dripper by my chair and drip a few different coffee blends in the evening, but I can't vape it long enough to fill a tank.
  21. I will have to check it out. I am just not much on dual 18650 mods. I really prefer a smallish mod. The ipvD2 is just about perfect, but I am really liking the NEBOX. I wish they would improve it a bit, and re release it. A bit more airflow, and a little better programming, clean up the machining, and this would be my dream rig. I may try to drill out the RBA to get a bit more airflow. The SSOCC coils have much better airflow. I was thinking of getting a D3, but I just can't justify it.
  22. Thanks Tam! What it really is, I am lazy. I don't like charging my batteries. I run 9 in 7 days on average. I normally wait until Friday night or Saturday to charge (I don't charge unattended) I have about 18 in rotation, so I don't have to charge often. Now I can throw 10 in to charge at the same time...lol
  23. I am hoping it is easy to work with, and had no flavor effects. I have moved from Kanthal to Ni200, now to Titanium. (I still run some factory Ni200 coils in a pinch) In my opinion, the Titanium seems to be fairly easy to work with, but a bit springy. It also has little to no effect on the flavor, and seems to make a tad more vapor/heat in the NEBOX, but, it didn't work as well with the built in curves in the ipvD2 and the VTC mini. I got a new box of the round SubTank coils. They are called SSOCC coils. The funny thing is, they are Ni200 coils. I have read that the acronym stands for Stainless Steel Organic Cotton Coil. So what is SS? is it just the body? I am ready for you to get the SS416L and report. I currently don't have a mod that has the curve built in for SS. I am not really interested in the DNA200's due to the need for 3 18650's or a LiPo. I just don't want a mod that big. I wish they would come out with a 50 watt/single 18650 version of the chip that we can use the Escribe software with. The ability to use Steam Engine and build a custom curve to upload into a mod really seems cool to me.
  24. My go to battery sources in this order (My opinion only): Liion Wholesale Illumn RTD Vapor I personally only buy cells that are made by the large manufactures, not cells that are rewrapped by others. I stick to Sony, LG and Samsung mostly. Here is info (testing) on the Sub Ohm Cell
