As all of you are aware, there have been some concerns that have been brought to our attention in regards to the composition and safety of G-Plat wires. We have spoken to the metallurgist at the facility in which our wires are being prepared and he has given us some insight regarding the “Manganese” content of G-Plat wires. Manganese has no part in the actual composition of both our V1.2 and Elite versions of G-Plat. However, during the manufacturing process, the wire is exposed to Manganese indirectly due to other types of wires containing Manganese being produced within the same facility.

Although it may seem as if a member of the G-Plat team issued a WARNING about the use of G-Plat wires, the conversation has been misinterpreted to make it seem as if G-Plat wires are a health risk. Our team member, knowing that our wires may have been exposed to trace amounts of Manganese, was only trying to look out for the best interest of an individual that stated he was allergic to the substance. With that being said, we would like to apologize for the delay in providing the information that the vaping community has been requesting. We are currently waiting on our metallurgist to provide us with the most accurate information about the wires (i.e. although Manganese is listed on the MSDS, it is not part of the actual composition of G-Plat wire). The information will be disclosed to the vaping industry no later than tomorrow evening.

We appreciate those of you who believe in our product and continue to stand behind us as we overcome this obstacle!

First attempt building an RDA. Took about 5 minutes, not as easy as it looked in tutorials. 24 gauge single strand .4 ohm.

So the clone has a magnetic switch? Interesting. Good hear that is is performing well. Mine is a hard hitter too. I like how there is no delay in heating the coils.

Going from using the Magneto this morning to the Akuma , there is a whole world of difference. The ramp up time is instant. When I hit the button the coils light up. Speaking of the button, it is a very well designed magnetic switch. It uses 3 very strong magnets, and even with the top heavy Kraken, I can set it down without it firing when not locked. I took it apart completely and cleaned every little piece before using it.

The Stingray was my hardest hitting mod, but the Akuma clone seems to be hitting harder. Now to see how it holds up over time.

Did something a little different with these... twisted 2 strands of 30g together, then added a 3rd strand but twisted in reverse of the first twist.....



As soon as its time to replace coils in my Stillare or Brass Monkee I will show the resistance and update how they work.

just got a stillare dripper, its becoming my fave.

If it hits like the Original, it will soon be your favored Mech.

It should be here on Saturday, and even comes with a wooden box, lol. I may be a traitor, but I'll be rocking a red copper and Australian brass mod. It's a good choice for my first copper mod.

Please find a data sheet with composition of the Kanthal A-1 alloy at the following link:

According to Sandvik, the manufacturer of the Kanthal A-1, there could be up to 0.4% Manganese in the wire.

As long as the wire is being within specification (below 2550F) then it won't degrade. Metallic off-gassing should not occur below this temperature rating.

I believe this is the primary reason for people adding the Pure Nickel leads to their coils - to prevent the dry part of the wire from heating up so much that it starts to degrade/fail.

After using and experimenting with it, I am one foot in and one foot out on GPlat. I absolutely love the 26g for the Kraken, as its the best vape I have had yet on this tank. The 24g in the dripper, not so much. I don't think I will be using the rest of the short length that I purchased, and with how long I keep my coils before tearing them out and rebuilding, the 6' of 26g will go a long way.

This is why they more than likely use it. The more Manganese used, the more pliable the wire will be.
