Well everything finally came in. I got:

I am happy and I hope this means the hold has lifted because it is time for me to get Christmas presents together, especially if shipping is going to take this long. It was right at a month to get the battery.

I don't really think that there is such a thing as "normal dropping" when electronics are involved. I knocked my original ego twist battery over on my desk. It didn't even hit the floor. It just fell over. It stopped working after that. It was totally my fault.

I don't think that it would be fair to go to the vendor for a replacement, when you haven't properly cared for the item. That's just my option.

Picked myself up an eVic today. My official first VV/VW mod.

Not trying to spend that much. Paid $48 for the Vamo V3 and most likely will order the SVD. Everything I am getting from every source so far points to this being the best decision for me. It looks very solidly built and for under $60 seems like a good deal.

Boatload of Mini Protank 2 V2 (w/ removable tip) and heads in my near future as well.

I started getting gurgling and leaking into the connection area towards the bottom of the tank, so the coil around 2mm silica without a flavor wick isn't working for me. I'll continue using the 2mm flavor wick on top of the coil until I can get some 3mm silica to experiment with because I never have problems with that configuration. It works equally as well with both KPTs & EVODs.

I just ordered a spool of 32 gauge Kanthal and some 2mm silica wick.

I have my hardware and juice just right. I'm bored and want to try my hand at something new. So it's time to start rebuilding coil heads (especially since Proetus bought up all the replacement heads) . I think after I've mastered rebuilding, I'm on to DIY juice.

I have been using 2mm silica to wrap my coils onto, and then putting another 2mm "flavor wick" on top. I do this because a single 2mm wick doesn't seem to fill the side wick slots completely and I've been afraid of the excess gap promoting leaks. I think I'm going to try 3mm wick next time, though. That should fill the gap without having to add another piece of wick on top.

I don't add a flavor wick edgie. I just wrap the coils and toss them in the heads and put the post back on top.

I've placed five orders with FastTech, and I've been very satisfied with everything I've bought from them.

I did have a little trouble with a Cobra clone RBA I got there, but I must admit that it was partly user error and not entirely their fault (one should never use the coil & wick that comes stock on an RBA - always dissect and wash the hardware first, then re-wick & coil with fresh materials).

Other than shipping time being longer than I'm used to (over a week, but probably less on the west coast), I've been completely satisfied with them.

Thanks yall, all the info was good and really good advice. I see the 1300 really is not that much smaller then the 1100 so she will probably like the designers you suggested Carter. Some of those designers are very pretty. I just ordered 3 that are chrome. A pink, purple and blue. Then I ordered 3 matching colors mini viva nova's. Then I took it one step further and got each one a matching drip tip. I know, I got to thinking after I had placed the order that I should have kept looking until I found bottom feeders that matched. But it was too late already shipped but that's OK. I like my big viva nova so maybe I will like the minis and their colors matched the batteries perfectly. You can tell my mind was all on looks and not function. Anyone tried the VN minis yet?
