Upload away!!! Please!!! I can't be the only one with critter pics, LOL!!! @Lyrical : That's cute!! The only animal we have that will outlive us is our African Grey parrot, and we aren't intending on breeding him. Also been wondering about the Bat-Beardie-Babies, myself....haven't seen either of them on recently. Maybe the thread resurrection will bring them out of their Bat Cave. :p

I'm glad this thread came back around! I've been wondering how ninjabatgirl's baby beardies have been doing. I got a new addition to my turtle family recently. I now have a 4 - 5 year old Russian Tortoise. He's beautiful! Since he can live up to 60 years, I have been calling my daughter his godmother!

Sounds like you have a lot of negative, and toxic people in your life. Sorry for being blunt, but its no wonder you cannot quit with your loved ones tearing you down when they should be supporting you during this endeavor. Even though you cannot get rid of these people in your life (coming from a toxic family myself, I do understand), you do possess the power to block them out. Do not verbally engage, because you can't win with these types of people. If there is one thing I've learned from a lifetime of dealing with my own addictions, demons, and negative people, it is that this is something that had to be done on YOUR terms. And remember, above all else, remind yourself that YOU are worth it and are doing this for YOUR own benefit...not anybody else's. As for how I quit.... Personally, I switched over to Vaping the second my first kit arrived in the mail. Like you, I never smoked more than a pack a day, so I started with 24mg for the first week (which made me hella sick). Then went right to 12, and have stayed there until recently acquiring a Genesis atty (those things will knock you for a loop when properly set up, LOL). I've also had a good group of friends around me who encourage rather than tear down....unlike my family. And, I've had this forum, and all the good people here. The membership here has helped numerous people out with everything from quitting the cigs to navigating the thousands of products being sold by hundreds of vendors. If you need anything, just ask. Someone will be glad to jump in with an answer. Good Luck, and Happy Vaping!!!

Hey I didnt know this thread existed! I am a huge herp enthusiast! I was a partner in a wholesale herp supply company in my younger days called Mid South Herpetological Supply and have had about every non venomous and many venomous species available in the pet trade. Currently I am out of the trade but everyone in town knows me and my son has the bug too. He is 8 years old. He currently has an Amelanistic Corn Snake, a Piebald Ball Python, an albino tangerine Honduran Milk, and an ornate Box Turtle. All were the result of rescue. Animal Control knows me and has me on speed dial when an exotic is abandoned in apartments, dorms, and rental houses-foreclosures and I take them, ensure they are healthy and eating, and re-home them. In the last year we have relocated over 50 specimens of variousherps. A lot of bearded dragons, Ball and Burmese pythons, and corn snakes (kinda boring standard stuff) but included was also a 4' albino eastern diamondback, a 5' albino monacled cobra, and a gaboon viper all illegally owned. I let my venomous certification expire at the end of last year just because I do not want to take those risks any more but I know the people at a somewhat local herp zoo-venom extraction facility and I utilize them now when there is a venomous species involved. All venomous species are now housed at Kentucky Reptile Zoo and are part of the venom extraction program. You might follow them on Facebook, very good people.

Just thought I would share. The ones we kept are those my son absolutely fell in love with, especially his Piebald Ball Python named Burt, except the HUGE 5.5' Amelanistic Corn Snake that has the nastiest attitude of any Colubrid I have ever had. I figured it best he stay with me, plus he is fun and puts on quite the show for friends and guests lol.

I was just sitting here vaping (of course), and a simple fact occurred to me.

I vape all sorts of stuff...RBAs, DCTs, drip atomizers (901, 306, 510), eGo tanks, etc. It's just something that I've gotten really into lately, sort of like I'm in search of the perfect vape and can't stop trying out the new stuff (I think that many of you reading this might empathize).

When I got in from work, I screwed my Vision Spinner 400mAh into it's charger and tossed the two-week-old carto into the trash. I grabbed a fresh Boge 3Ω carto from the box and condom-filled it. I topped it off with a few drops (DK-TAB) on top 'til saturated, drip-tipped it, and waited for the Spinner to charge.

About half an hour or so later, I screwed a freshly filled Boge 3Ω carto into a freshly charged Spinner set to 4.8v ('cause that's how I do it), and the resulting vape was nothing short of magical. I mean, everything about this vape was totally perfect...awesome vapor production, great throat hit, and unbelievable taste.

And that's when it occurred to me that this simple, poly-filled carto might just be the perfect vape. I mean, everything about it was right, and the draw was fantastic. At that moment, I couldn't think of any device I owned that was as completely satisfying as that Boge carto was.

    YMMV.

Anyway, I'll keep gettin' the new stuff, and I'm confident that there are some really great toys on the horizon, but I have this gut feeling that I'll always have a box (or five) of Boge cartos on hand...for when I need to get grounded.

It is so incredibly hard to believe it has been 4 years since I found ecigs and stopped smoking. I was one of the lucky ones, I got my first 510 on May 21st 2009 and had my last cigarette on May 22nd 2009.

When I found vaping, I had 100% quit quitting. I tried ecigs to get my mother off my back....that was that.

So much has changed in the last 4 years. When I started, we only had a couple choices...510 or 901....black or white. we only had traditional cartridges.
we only had a few vendors to choose from in the US, everything else was in china.

I also discovered the world of forums (I had never even read a forum).

Vapor talks and all the amazing people here are a big part of my journey.

Thank you Chris for providing such an amazing place for information, support and friendship

And a huge thanks to all the veteran Vaper Talk friends that have been such an incredible support and source of laughter

Well my little e-zip arrived! It works as described. Battery life seems to be a couple of hours and lasted through a round of golf...lol It was nice to just have a small compact pv in my pocket rather than an Ego. I have snapped a battery before from it being im my pocket. It came with pre-filled cartos that I really didn't care for but have blanks on the way and that will take care of that. Vapes like an 808 with a 350 mah battery but gets the job done for what I intended it to do. I got a couple of odd looks with it....lol.....................b

As of right now it's been one year since I got off analogs. Bought my first eGo T pass through on May 10, 2012 but still smoked while I got into vaping. Each day I smoked and wanted less until May 15th, I got off analogs completely and began vaping only. To be frank I've lit up a couple of times to satisfy my curiosity to see if I still had any desire to smoke again. After a couple drags I'd have to go brush my teeth and take a shower to get the taste out of my mouth and the smell out of my hair.

Since then it's been a wild ride while I've explored all kinds of new vapor related toys, found this forum and met some wonderful people who have been so very helpful. They've taught me so much and in turn I hope I've been able to pass some of that knowledge on to new vapers. I want to thank Christopher for creating this forum and for working tirelessly to make it even better. A special thank you to Kitsune for pushing direct dripping so much that I finally got the nerve to try it, and also to Blucavvy, Jeffb, Mark, McQuinn, VaperRon, Uma, and Rixter who patiently answered so many of my questions when I got stuck. I know I'm forgetting to name some people here but you have my wholehearted gratitude for your help and making me feel welcome.

After all the different methods tried, all the times I've tried to quit and failed miserably I'm so happy to be able to say, "This is it. I've been off cigarettes for one whole year. I hope to be able to say something like that next year...and the next...and the next...

Another sad week for my wallet but a great week for vape mail!

I got three batteries...an eGo 1100mAh battery in the "disco ball" design, an eGo 1100mAh battery in the engraved Celtic design (I found the The Vapor Girl website! lol) and a purple Vision Spinner 1100mAh. I feel so powerful now! lol
I also got a couple Vivi Nova tanks, a couple Bauway 510 atomizers, some Vision CE3 Nano clearomizers, a couple Vision CE4 clearomizers, e-juices in butterscotch and "Monkey Tarts", several tips, several adaptors, cone covers, etc. Parts is parts.
I also sent back my two eGo mini 450mAh batteries to ValueVapor to be exchanged for new ones.

TWO vapemail packages in one day!!

I got my orders from Mr. Baker Vapor and ValueVapor a little while ago. Thanks to the lovely and helpful Krystal68 telling me exactly what to get from ValueVapor (1 DSE-901 LR atomizer, 3 drip tips, 2 drip shields [plus 2 adapters, an eGo thread cover and an eGo Mini kit]) for the batts I have, I am learning to drip! Okay, so that sounds bad but whatever...

I ripped open the package, laid all the little pieces and parts I ordered out on my desk and...then just stared at everything thinking "Now what!" Using the new eGo mini, I managed to put everything together except the drip shield, I couldn't figure out where that went. I didn't think I did it right, but I sure was surprised when I actually blew out vapor!! WOOHOO!! I used one of my juices that I've had for a while so I can really tell the difference in the amount of vapor I'm getting, even with this little mini eGo 350mAh.

    Thank you Krystal68!

I've placed several orders with them over the last few months and they always deliver quickly. The juice prices are the lowest I've found and the quality is excellent. Some of the juices need to steep a little because they are made to order, they inform you of that on the site and in the letter they send. They also include a warning about certain juices known to crack plastic tanks for new vapors. All in all they are a terrific company and I suggest them to everyone of my friends and family who are currently and those who want to make the switch from analogs.

BTW, hubby found a couple good flavors of juice already and hasn't touched a single analog since Friday afternoon - looks like I'm buying another battery! How do you get the "Smoke Free for...days" banner on your posts? I filled one out but it doesn't show up?
