CascadianExotics got a reaction from Tam in help ! did i just make a HUGE mistake?
Sweet pick up!!! Like others said, get more juice, maybe a clearomizer / vivi nova / carto tank, and you'll be in business. My biggest mistake in starting out was not leaving enough budget to get a few bottles in different strengths. For the first few days, I ended up making myself sick a number of times chain-vaping too high of a strength while jonesing for a smoke. Worse yet, I was stuck with the high-strength liquid until payday, then a few more days until my juice order arrived in the mail. Congrats, again, and good luck to you on your journey towards a new (and better) analog-free life!!!

Synther made a lot of good points. The manual button does give you more control. However.... Analogs and E-Cigarettes are similar in the "cigarette" part of the name only. After that, its apples and oranges all the way. Drawing on an e-cig utilizes a different technique, and requires a bit of practice. This is a big reason a lot of people return to smoking....they just do not get the hang of it, and give up before they even start. (Don't get scared just yet...this is something you will get accustomed to after a couple days, and will become practically second-nature after that.) There are some good articles on this, and "the other forum" regarding the proper inhalation technique required for vaping. The articles cover the spectrum of drawing vapor on both a manual as well as an automatic battery. In short, it is up to the end user, and the use of proper inhalation technique that make all the difference in the world.

I'm quite proud to see Vapor Talk's Dulcis listed in the A category. Since closing the VT store earlier last year I've received literally hundreds of emails asking about it.

Just for the record the VT store is opening at the end of the month, along with it is the return of Dulcis for those interested

Well, let me know how those ones work out for you. As a newbie, I haven't yet had the opportunity to get too discouraged, and would like to keep it that way for some time.

Yea true. If the Penstyle produced the same amount of smoke at the Kissbox then I don't think I would purchase the Janty. Now if the DURA produced as much smoke/vapor as the Penstyle then I'd be on it tonight. Again something I suppose Parked could answer

For those of you T3 users experiencing dry hits, try this advice from Steve K from his "Kanger T3 Bottom Coil eGo Clearomizer Review" :

"I found in pretty short order, the T3 would give dry hits if I didn’t wait a sufficient amount of time for the coil to re-wick. This was frustrating as I tend to prefer to vape several times in a row.

Fortunately, it turns out there’s a pretty simple modification that can be made to the gaskets to improve liquid absorption and eliminate much of the dry hits. I can’t take credit for this one, a hat tip goes to the good folks over on Reddit.

Unscrew the bottom cap. Remove the gasket that sits on the top of the atomizer, flip the gasket over so the flat side is covering the wicks and replace the gasket. Apparently the gasket in the stock configuration compresses the wicks when the two parts are screwed together. Flipping the gasket keeps it from moving down over the wicks and does not appear to cause additional leaking problems.

Once the hack was in place, I found the T3 much more tolerant to chain vaping. Occasionally, I had to slow down and wait for a few bubbles to appear from the atomizer area. However, those moments were fairly few and far between. Vapor production was already very good, so I can’t really tell if there were any improvements there. I also ran into no additional flooding or gurgling problems in this configuration."

    I hope this helps.

Got myself a new clearomizer, carrying case, and a small bottle of RY4 from Nic Station; a local vendor I wanted to scope out. The guy running the place seemed nice enough, and their prices aren't too bad....especially for mall kiosk. Dude said the clearo is a CE6, but I'm having serious doubts about that claim, as I'm having a hard time finding replaceable heads online, let alone a vendor that sells a 1.6 ml capacity CE6. (The ones I'm finding are all 5ml tanks.) Still looks nice, though. I'm really digging on it!!! Whether the clearo works out or not in the long term, it is nice knowing I have a local vendor that I can go pick up a single bottle of juice for less than the cost of juice + shipping from an online source in the event of running out of juice before my online orders arrive in the mailbox.

"60% of the time, it works EVERY time," right??? Great tip....I'll have to try it out once I get some new liquids, and the hang of properly drawing vapor.

Hello, All!! My name is Steve, and as the title says, I hail from the rainy Pacific NW. For years I've been trying (to no avail) to kick the analog habit....as a 20+ year smoker, I'm sure several people can relate to just how hard it is to up and quit. I think I've "quit" somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 or 7 times by now, LOL!!! Lately, between my health and finances, someone proposed the idea of going on the e-cig bandwagon. I figured it wouldn't hurt to entertain the idea, and do some research....then some more research.....and some more research on top of what I've already done. Somewhere along the lines I found this forum.....which has been more helpful, and with warmer members than anything I've found thus far. So, I've made the leap of faith and placed my first PV order (510 + eGo starter kits, drip-tip, and e-Juice). Hopefully, I can count on some of you guys for some support in this fight to finally conquer the demon destined to kill me, and possibly make some friends along the way!!! Cheers!!! -Steve
