This is an overview of my juice and equipment shelves Here is the closeups I much prefer glass for holding my ready to vape or not as the case may be. Various bits and pieces that tend to accumulate. I keep my PG/VG in 2 each blue jars, My Nic in Amber jars, and Premixed in a Amber jar. These are 9 oz. short wide mouth glass jars Seem to work better for me easier to siphon out liquid and less chance of tipping over. Here are some of my flavors for DIY Can you tell I like Wizard Labs. Some more flavors including VZ super concentrated and lorann's plus other brands. Also syringes, pipettes, and plastic boxs for everything else. A couple of projects that I so far have not had time to do are make a stand for PV's. and a small wood cabinet to hold all vaping supplies. Hopefully soon. What do you folks think? Kinda OCD right. Thanks for looking all comments and or critiques are appreciated. -
Tam got a reaction from daleron in My juicemate ce5 Carto tastes like *** (new)
Um...without knowing what kind of cartomizer or clearomizer you were using I'll venture a guess that you filled it and didn't wait before vaping. That would lead to the wick or filler material (depending on whether you used a clearomizer or a cartomizer) not being given time to absorb the juice and get saturated before you vaped on it.
Now that you have the burnt taste in there, it's next to impossible to get it out. I'd start fresh with a new one. This time, after filling, let it sit a few minutes to thoroughly get wet and let the wick/filler absorb and then take a hit. Should be better this time.
Of course this is just in general terms since I don't know the details of what you're using.

Tam reacted to Christopher in Newbie here, need honest opinions.
The eGo is popular because it works so well but I understand not wanting to deal with the mouthpieces etc.
You could always pick up a single ego Battery (they last upwards of about 16 hours) a charger and a pack of cartomizers. Cartomizers have been around for a while but I still use them and they work great. You can vape on it all day without having to worry about the battery draining and constantly running out. I'm a heavy vapor so I understand where youre coming from

Tam got a reaction from mischi3vous in Liquid on battery contact normal?
Along with what Uma said, if you ever get gurgling from your cartomizer, atomizer, clearomizer, etc. Just unscrew it from the battery, dab the battery post, hold the tissue very loosely under the CE4 (we're going to pretend that's what you're using for this example so I don't have to keep typing everything every time ) and blow through the mouth piece.
Sometimes you get liquid inside the center post of the CE4 and that causes it to gurgle. Cleaning the battery post, dabbing out the under side of the CE4 and blowing through it to get the rest of the liquid out will also help.
There are a lot of really nice people on this forum. So much knowledge all in one place!

You're welcome. It's a good site, lots of wonderful folk here.
Oh! Be sure to dry the battery off extremely well before each charging. You've undoubtedly already discovered that any time you lose oomph, in between charges, drying off the connection will take it back to par. (but in case you haven't, or in case a lurker hasn't, I thought it worth sayin').

Tam reacted to Sonar505 in How to maintain & rebuild a Vivi-Mini Nova and CE4
The Vivi-Mini Nova's and the CE4 rebuildables are one the stable vaping items that always seem to generate quite a bit of discussion. Whether you Love them or hate them almost everyone seems to have at least tried them. Even vapors who tend to prefer the higher end stuff usually reveal that they have a few for when they go out and about and don't want to take any chances with their more expensive equipment. They have been out for quite a while now and have been through a few changes. But the look and ease of use have not changed. There have also been many clones made that can sometimes be hit or miss. Quite a few people have contributed to making them better trying different wick and coil combinations until they found what works for them. They have also been wiling to share their findings with the vaping community and for that I thank them. Here is what they look like for those few that have not used or seen one. When you first buy one you might be amazed at the ease of use. Can be filled straight from the bottle (no syringes needed), they produce a lot of vapor, are super easy to disassemble and clean, And have very good flavor , for those that say the flavor is muted there are simple changes to improve that also. For those that don't like rebuilding you have that option also they sell replaceable heads in different resistance that can be bought very cheaply, screwed on refilled and go. If you like working with your hands then they can easily be rebuilt for even cheaper. It's your choice. You may already have your routine down on how you handle your Vivi Nova's. So what follows isn't for everyone its for someone who has been using one for a while now and doesn't want to spend money on more heads or someone who wants to coax more flavor out of them. They might not know what the term dry burn means or even that you could rebuild them. This is what works for me. I have broken it down into two parts. First is after you have already rebuilt the head and want to replace the wick either because it will no longer clean or you want to change flavors. The 2nd Part is how to recoil and rebuild the head to set it up for easy wick changes. So now you don't have to wait for the wick to dry before refilling. As I might have mentioned before there are quite a few clones and more coming. This is also how you dry burn to clean when you first get these , except you can leave the silica wick in. it won't burn the red hot coil will turn it from black back to white. Part 2 I hope that I answered more questions than I created. But if you do have any please post them. Thank you for taking the time to read/view this. -
Tam reacted to TheBeckster in Bump Everytime You Buy Something New
Just ordered a bunch of DIY flavors and diluting liquids from Perfumers apprentice.
2 purple spinners, 2 EVODs, and replacement heads for EVODs from myvaporstore. As a side note, one of the spinners i got a few weeks ago from them died within a week. I sent an email and they promptly sent an apology email and included the shipping label to return it. I think it's awesome when vendors not only replace stuff, but don't make you pay the return shipping.

Picked up a purple and a steel colored EVOD at my local brick and mortar store (Vapor Source). Also got a pack of five replacement coils and a 50 ml bottle of Mojito. It came in 30 PG/70 VG - much thicker than I usually use so I'll be thinning it with some distilled water once it's steeped.

Tam reacted to mcquinn in Hello... Um, Vap-ers? lol
Welcome. You can get usable vapor from about any of them but an Ego type battery and a Vivi Nova tank or Vision Clearomisers will be more cost effective and less hassle in the long run.

Tam got a reaction from kitsune in Punching hole(s) in cartomizers
Like Kitsune I have several different things going on at all times. My main has been direct dripping once I got through the learning curve. Kit was great for helping me there!
Other than direct dripping I'm very partial to my T2 (or eGo 2.4 CC clearomizer) with the short wicks. When I figured out they weren't going to make short wicks available anymore I bought a huge stock of them.
Others I like are the Vision Nano for a bottom feeder. The EVOD I just got are...okay. The jury's still out on those. The MT3 and T3 are okay but not a favorite. Recently I also went back to the CE4 (Vision Stardust).
It all depends on what you like, what mood you're in and the juices you're using in the individual clearomizers.
Now, having said that I have a couple F15s coming along with a hole punch and extra cartomizers. I'm very curious about these after hearing so much about them for so long.

Tam reacted to kitsune in Punching hole(s) in cartomizers
Here my personal experience:
Vivi nova....soooo easy to use. flavor does die out over time (about 3days-week) for me. changing flavor sometimes helps. next step, take it apart, rinse, refill. last step just replace the head. I tend to replace the head after about a week. Heating over time tends to thicken the liquid and it doesn't wick quite as well as fresh liquid. That is a problem with all except the dual coil tank and dripping. Its just the nature of the liquid.
Kanger....sooo easy to use. after a couple of days I end up getting the burnt wick taste....more than likely it doesn't like my stronger flavors...seems to do well with my lighter fruit flavors.
Dual Coil Tank....A bit more fuss to fill, but the flavor seems to last longer and more consistent vape...usually end up changing the cartomizer every couple weeks (draw gets tight, filler clogs).
The eGo 2.4 ml CC long wick is another clearomizer I like...the only problem I have had it the past is the tip can break away causing it to leak (super glue fixed that). I like it as much as my vivi nova.
http://www.theveteranvaper.com/ego-2-4ml-cc-long-wick-changeable-coil-clearomizer/
Dripping....This for me has been my sweet spot for a very long time. better flavor all the way around. But it is a bit more work and a bit of a learning curve.
the 4 I always have on hand are the vivi nova, dual coil tank, eGo CC and dripping. I have a tendency to rotate through them....each one is just a bit different, and each one usually has a different flavor. (except dripping....that is alot different). I still mess with the kanger, because I like variety I guess.....
sorry, Long answer.

Like Kitsune and Proetus said, I'm in the "go ahead and light one up" camp. For the first five days after I bought my first ecig I still smoked. On the fifth day I just didn't want them anymore. Then, a month or two after having vaped exclusively, I started thinking about a cigarette and couldn't get it out of my mind. Once I lit up and took about three drags that was it for me. Even now, after all this time without an analog, about a month ago I tried one just out of curiosity and was so grossed out I had to go brush my teeth and take a shower.

I think you'll really like the Spinners. Go you! for finding one, they're always out of stock. I'm waiting for Gotvapes to get more 900 mAh in chrome right now.

Tam reacted to danpio1217 in New Here! Have A Few Questions About Ecigs
Like Kitsune said, when you smoke, you'd take 10-15 drags over the course of a few minutes. With vaping, i prefer 1 or 2 drags every few minutes, but I pretty much vape all day long. I'll go an hour or so without if i'm out running errands or making dinner or whatever, but you get my point. Do whatever you feel comfortable with and like Mike said, just listen to your body and make sure you don't overdo it. If you're getting headaches and feel your heart beating fast, back off for awhile. And also drink lots of water. I don't mind repeating this a million times because to me, it's very important.

Tam reacted to kitsune in New Here! Have A Few Questions About Ecigs
Welcome !!
Lots of different changes come from quitting smoking and beginning vaping. both symptoms are pretty normal.
LIke mike said, drink or sip more water, juice, whatever.
The loose stools can be from the PG or VG in the e-liquid or a side affect of not smoking.
I think most of us vape all day long. When you go out to smoke you smoke the whole cigarette--how ever many drags that may be. with vaping you take a drag intermittently all day.
How much did you smoke?

Tam reacted to mischi3vous in Husband has emphysema
My husband was diagnosed with early stage emphysema a few years ago and since then he's been telling me that in order for him to quit smoking I need to quit. I can't say that I was ever into the idea of quitting because to be honest I enjoyed smoking. But I bought a couple of the n-joy kits about 5 years ago and gave it a shot, needless to say that was a complete flop what I enjoyed about smoking just wasn't there. Then he was gone in Afghanistan for a few years so I didn't worry about trying to quit.
He returned home about a year ago and he's being treated by the VA, well they finally gave him Chantix (I'm not so sure he really wants to quit). My daughter has a friend on facebook who was talking about this place she found local (Buckeye Vapors). I went and checked out what they had to offer..so much has changed since I bought the first n-joy's and for the better. I ended up spending almost $200 to get us both set up with stuff to start these are so much better the liquid with cartomizers is so much better than the other stuff I get the throat hit think that's what was missing before. First few days I went from 2 packs a day to 5 analogs a day had the typical sore throat for about 2 weeks woke up one morning and it was gone. My husband on the other hand, we've gone back to Buckeye Vapors and got him other flavors, stronger nicotine I've tried to explain to him about the sore throat and that if he'd just cut way back on the analogs and only use the e-cig and give it two weeks the sore throat would be gone but he doesn't believe me.
I can't believe I've figured out how I can quit (the reluctant one) and he's still going at the analog cigarettes. I'm not giving up my e-cigs it's nice to be able to breath when I wake up in the morning without the stuffy head and it's easier to breath period. Wish me luck on this journey because I think it's going to be a rough one to help him get him off the analogs and onto something that will be better for him.

Tam reacted to kitsune in Fighting the crave
Personally....I say, have a cigarette. It was the best thing I ever did. about a month in...no cravings up to that point...then out of no where, I got a craving. Mind you had gone into vaping without intending to quit smoking, it just happened. I digress...had a smoke, and almost threw up...it was so nasty. It cut the final cord of ever want to smoke again. That was a little less than 4 years ago.
The more pressure we put on ourselves to quit....the more anxiety we develop and makes the cravings worse.
side note....be very careful with the 30mg....can make you feel like ****

Why thank you. Thank you very much.
*fails miserably but falls over laughing anyway*
As an aside, when they tell you that the "aroma" is strong? Take their warning seriously. There's snow on the ground outside but I have the window open about two inches, there's a fan blowing the air OUT of the room, it's nearly an hour later and this place still smells of roast beef.
Either that or I can't get it out of my nose. *sniffs*

Tam got a reaction from Lyrical in My review for the Blu Magnificent Menthol Disposable.
Yes, I have a 1100 mAh Twist and, although I like it, I much prefer my Spinners, especially for direct dripping. The numbers on the Spinner are so much easier to see so I can figure out how many volts I'm at. The Twist? Not so much. I have to put it under a bright light and hold it juuuuust so so that the numbers might show up. The numbers are etched into the base so it's all the same color of silver. They're both good batteries, it's just easier to see the Spinner's numbers.
Don't feel bad about taking notes. I've got a whole notebook of scribbles myself.
