Nicotine is not harmful according to new RSPH report
Tam replied to 1993tassa's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Thanks! -
Yes, the KPT 3 can use single coils. I've been using singles on mine since the KPT 3 first came out with no more leaking than what I get with a Davide. Of course, YMMV but I doubt you'll have much trouble. Also, Comp does sell rebuilt KPT coils with organic cotton. In my opinion, they work better, last longer, and give better flavor than the "originals".

Is there an article or study where you got this information? I'd like to read this for myself. -
Here's a dumb question: Have you tried the KPT 3? Those are still easy to get and are basically the same as the Davide, can use the single coils, is low maintenance and dependable. I don't remember what kind of draw it had with the original base because I've changed it out to the Aerotank base some time ago, but I think it was comparable to the Davides. Yeah, B, it looks like you'll probably want to stick to what you already use or change altogether. Hopefully, with as many new things coming out every day, something will come along that can replace the Davide and be just as satisfying.

With these flavors I went with a 50/50. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

I'm one of those who are hoping the first Triton was just a faulty tank. When it worked, it gave off the most amazing flavor and performance. The top fill was really convenient too. My fingers are crossed that this replacement will rock my world.

Any tips for how to get it unstuck once it's good and stuck, Bebop? I did put some juice around the seal before tightening it up but it still won't cooperate.

Their Dragon's Tear is good but you need to let it age for several weeks before the creamy flavor comes through. Also, the chocolate malt (the first flavor I ever tried from them) is really good, especially with extra flavoring. There are so many good flavors from them that I've tried. You just have to go to their site and go a little nuts. They sell 5 ml bottles for $2.50 each so it's easy to try a lot of different flavors without breaking the bank.

The mini Nautilus is great. The only thing I didn't care for on those is trying to get the bottom part to unscrew, it likes to get stuck all too often.

It's been my ADV for nearly three years now.

Hmmm, maybe the Aerotank? I have the version 1 and it works perfectly with the KPT single coil. @Earthling789 He loves the version 2 Aerotank. Maybe he can shed some light into if these can be used with a single coil? B might switch to those?

Yeah, I feel his pain. We were both into the original Davide mini until they started downsizing them from the 2.5 ml tank to a 2.0 ml. Then, Anyvape stopped making them and Aspire took over with new coils. Thankfully, the old coils still worked. Then, they started fiddling with them even more and the "original" tanks were no longer the same. Just recently, I tried the KPT mini 3 tanks and I like them even better than the Davide mini although the tanks only hold 2.0 ml, the flavor is even slightly better than the Davide minis so I'm happy to stockpile these since they're a little "old" and prices have come down. With my quest to find a suitable replacement to the HH.357s, I've come down the RBA road. B might want to give those a try since so many are coming out with premade coils. He can easily use the iStick 50W that he has now. I hate change for change's sake but that seems to be the name of the game in vaping anymore.

They never believe we're serious about the back ups... until they run out and find they have a real need for them. Then, it's all, "I thought you were kidding about the back ups thing but... I'm going to go get some now!" When you get a chance, also get another battery, another tank, another charger, and some extra juice. You'll never be sorry you did.

You didn't "misspoke" at all, Jason. For the longest time I wasn't happy with the Subtank mini, so much so that I was thinking of giving it away. After reading about how other members really liked them, I finally gave in and started fiddling with all the settings until I finally found something that works for me. Most of all, I had to relearn how I drew from it and get the airflow just right with the right amount of wattage. With my extra long drip tip (I prefer a cooler vape), the airflow halfway closed down, taking two quick, fast draws to prime the coil and then a longer one like I usually do... and it's workable. I'm starting to like it. Finally.

Always have back ups of your gear. Then, go get back ups of your back ups. When you have those, get back ups of your back ups of your back ups. I'm not joking. You can never have too many back ups so you're never without when something goes wrong, goes out, stops working, isn't charged...

Okay, here I am. The Kanger Subtank is growing on me once I finally broke in the coil and wick. I've actually found the airflow that I like and the flavor I get from it is even better than the Davide. It's a 1.5 ohm factory although I prefer the RBA section and building my own coils at 1.8 ohms, just haven't had the time or patience with it lately. The migraine that got me a couple days ago still has my vision so blurred I can't see to build the damned coil. lol I've pretty much given up on trying to replace my beloved Davides, B. Sorry, I'm of no help there. That said, the Aspire Triton with the 1.8 ohm coil was an amazing tank... until it stopped working. The good news is that Kidney Puncher (Dustin in particular), has sent out a new Triton as of yesterday. Hopefully, this new one will continue to work. I also go the RBA part early this week.

How frustrating that we can't help you pinpoint the source of the problem with your set up. I thought maybe the juice was too thin and that's why it was leaking after Bebop asked all the other questions. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

I used to think that Nicoticket's Custard's Last Stand was the very best custard out there until I tried Clockwerks Custard by Vaping Watch. They're both very good but I think Clockwerks Custard gets my vote and their customer service is most excellent!

What's the PG/VG levels of the juice you're using?
-
What resistance are your coils and what power level are you using on them?
-
Might up the nic a little to get you over the rough spot? Do you have some basic batteries and a KPT or two to keep the higher nic? If not, I could send out a few. I'm "spring cleaning" my stash. Also have some 12 mg juices if you're interested.

Does anyone use caffeine based e-liquids?
Tam replied to 1993tassa's topic in General Vaping Discussion
We've had this conversation before, and I believe most of us decided that we like our caffeine in a liquid form since we don't know what the effects vaping it would have. The long term effects of vaping is still unknown so why add something else that could possibly have negative health consequences?- 14 replies

I wish more B&Ms would follow that example.

I was going to tell you to read the rest of the thread when you posted again. Unfortunately, I had some problems with the juice flow controller (as did quite a few other people), otherwise, when it worked, it really was the perfect tank. Kidney Puncher, the place I got mine from were wonderful. They had me send it back and are sending me another to see if this one will work better for me. In the mean time I got the RBA in the mail yesterday, it was a pre-order item at the time. Now, I'm just going to wait for my new Triton to get here and will update shortly after.
