LOL! Guess there's several of us trying various stealth vaping techniques today. Here's another: go into bathroom, pick the end stall next to wall. Stand facing toilet and vape away. No real need for stealth, you can vape like normal so long as you blow the vapor toward the wall side of the corner of the floor.

You've actually done it inside an airplane? I don't think I could do that. Color me impressed!

Flavors like butter rum, coffee, bakery goods... all are rather "heavy" and the smell seems to linger. Fruit flavors like peach, apple, etc. put out a "lighter" smell. I stealth vape in my office using the lighter fruit flavors and never get any comments. There's also a raspberry air freshener in plain sight so that usually explains away any smells. Whenever I vape in public (read: outside), people come up and ask what it is. I almost always get a good reception when I answer their questions. When I'm vaping in my car, just out of habit and liking fresh air I always crack the window. Good for you that you're doing so well with replacing the analogs with an e-cig!

Another trick I heard about and do occasionally when I absolutely need to is go into a bathroom stall, take a small hit, hold for a few seconds (usually a count of ten or so), then blow out a thin stream of vapor downward while waving the vapor away. Either a hand or some kind of paper works well. Since I'll be waiting around inside an airport all day I'll have to think of something. I hate to have to go into one of the smoking areas that's always thick with cigarette smoke. Maybe find a bar or lounge and ask permission first?

Lol! I've heard of the "coffee method" of stealth vaping: take a hit, hold for a couple of seconds, exhale into a hot cup of coffee so it looks like the vapor is coming from that. If I absolutely need to, I'll go the bathroom route if I can't go outside.

That's kind of the mindset I'm going toward. E-cigarettes are still too new and people don't understand. Probably better to go outside rather than to make anyone uncomfortable.

On Wednesday I'm going to be flying out to spend a few days with friends in California. I'll be the first one in so I have an all day wait in the airport for the rest of the motley crew. What are your experiences in airports? Is it okay to vape? Should I only stealth? Go outside? I'm thinking I should go outside and/or ask before vaping. What are your thought? Suggestions?

Speaking for myself, it's easy to have patience because I was where you are now. I still have so much to learn but it's nice to be able to return the favor by helping someone else when I can. From my limited experience with cartos, one flavor = one carto. The wicking seems to really latch onto the flavor. Putting another flavor as a change created a whole new mix. Even when I washed it out, there was still a lingering hint. Sometimes that was pleasant. Other times they were competing flavors and it was nasty! Of course, your experience may be different. Hopefully, other people who are much more experienced with cartos will give you more information. In another thread I saw that you could just pull out the wicking and direct drip into the atomizer... but it all depends on what kind of carto you have. Some you can, others not so much. What kind of carto do you have? Some cartos/clearos work only a few days (or even DOA), while others can work months. I'd say maybe a few weeks on average? For my 2.4 ml CC (changeable coil) clearos, most coils can last months before I have to change it. My rec would be to get them from Brian at The Veteran Vaper. You can buy the coils separately so there's less expense when it goes out. You don't have to buy the whole thing every time, just change the coil. What Kitsune said. She's the lovely lady who got me through all the ups and downs of dripping until I'm now hooked on it. If you like dripping but don't like the mess (atomizers can leak like crazy), you can get drip shields. Those are a MUST when dripping imo. You're using an eGO battery, right? I just found out that not all drip shields are the same. If you're using eGO batteries, you might consider one of these: http://www.empiremod...uct_p/egodc.htm or this http://www.empiremod...p/emegodrip.htm They're specifically made for eGO batteries so you don't need an additional piece to make it fit. I didn't realize and bought two that don't fit right the first time. I really like the one in the first link. It's rather plain looking but has several air holes that make the vapor cooler instead of warm. Depends on whether you like cool or warm vapor. In order to cool it even more I use one of these http://www.empiremod..._p/chrryuni.htm a universal drip tip plus a regular drip tip. It makes the e-cig really long but the cooler vapor is worth it to me. Any drip tip is okay except those that are for 306s (they're longish so you'll see the difference right away).

Good information, Blu. Thanks. I think I'm good with what I have right now. Probably won't be needing anything more for the next few... years. Well, in a few months I might need a few more atomizers for dripping but that's about it. I'm set for a bit.

Okay, here goes. Click the button five times (not too fast, just steady). The light will flash three times to tell you if it's on or off. How you tell one from the other is to click the button once after the three flashes. If the light turns on while you have the button pressed, that means it's on. If it stays dark = off. When it's on, push the button and hold it down. Take a "drag" nice and slow with the button pressed. Take your finger off the button when you're done drawing from it. At first, you might not want to take a really big puff until you're used to it. Don't worry about keeping the button pressed down too long, it has an automatic cut off after 10 seconds. Draw the vapor into your mouth first, hold a sec and then inhale. That's usually the best way to do it to keep from coughing. The first several hits from any new atomizer, cartomizer, clearomizer, whatever -- will more than likely not taste as good as it will later. If you're using a cartomizer, you'll want to blow into the top with a tissue under the part where the threads attach to the battery to catch the whatever they use. Do that a few times and blot gently before filling with liquid. That'll help with the icky taste of a new cart. If you're using the clearomizer, put liquid into it and swirl it around (tip gently) to let the wick absorb the juice. Let sit for just a little while. I like to give it at least a minute so the wick can get wet enough that it reaches the coil. Otherwise you might get a dry hit and that's not pleasant. :P Hang in there. At first there seems to be a LOT to learn but it gets better and it gets easier!

That's it. I have got to stay away from VT until after my trip. This place is costing me too much money with all the excellent recs and links to new things. I just ordered one of these in 900 mAh, purple. Gah!

Don't beat yourself up too much for going back to analogs. Just jump back on the wagon when you get your order. As for cocktail flavored juices, when I first started my constant was the Mojito flavor from the local brick & mortar store. It didn't exactly taste like a mojito but it was good. Then, I ordered some from Sweet-Vapes (both the regular and extra flavor versions) in 12 mg, 50/50. The lime came through much better. I still like it today but I'm hooked on the coffee flavors and chocolate malt from EC Blend these days. Despite my attempt not to buy anymore e-cig related stuff until after my trip this coming week I caved and ordered a large bottle of cranberry from The Vapor Room. They're sneaky and sent me a sample bottle of it in my last order. It's wonderful stuff...

That's an interesting question, and one I'm curious to see what the answers you get are. You didn't mention what PG/VG ratio you got, though. I've heard that more PG produces more flavor. Also, does this supplier offer extra or double flavor options?

Our bodies go through so many weird changes when we get off the analogs. The ones I've experienced didn't make any sense and all were temporary. On the other side of those weird things is just... wow. With two juices from the same vendor, same PG/VG, nic ratio - just different flavor - I kinda wondered if it wasn't something going on with you rather than the juice itself. Either way, I'm glad it's gone away and you have another bottle of e-juice that you can vape and enjoy. Keep it up, you're doing good!

I'll probably cave one day soon and get a 306dca. *sighs* I'm a terrible dripper. No matter my best intentions I just get so happy and wind up over-dripping every time so this shield seems custom made for someone like me. :P

After having gone through a not so great experience with a vendor, Empire Mods' style of doing business is very much appreciated. I really should make a post on the Positive Vendors' area soon-ish.

So... my drip shields from Empire Mods got here today and the silver one works great! I haven't tried the purple one yet, though. With the universal drip tip extender on the Boge 510 LR 2.0 ohm atomizer... it ROCKS! Man, but I love Empire Mods. They really know how to show their appreciation for their customers. Every order comes with a new free toy. I got another interesting drip tip with this current order.

Since you've only been vaping for a short time I wonder if it could be something your body is doing as it gets rid of the other toxins from the analogs and not specifically from the e-liquid? Just a thought. If you're feeling adventurous I'd give it a few days and then try that juice again to see if that's what it is or not.
