Even if it's not a variable voltage battery it's still a good one... for a back up. It would be best used with something like a Kanger Pro Tank 2 or 3 mini with a 1.5 or 1.8 ohm coil. My personal preference is the 1.8 ohms. That's pretty universal for all kinds of juices. 1.5 ohms gives off too hot a vape for me but your preference could be different. A variable voltage battery like the Vision Spinner or Spinner II is a very simple device that's a great workhorse. It allows you to turn up the voltage to adjust for whatever resistance your coil has and/or for certain juices. Fruit juices generally prefer a lower heat like at 3.3 - 3.7 volts. Coffees and bakery flavors prefer a higher voltage like 3.8 - 4.0 or higher on a 1.8 ohm coil. Generally, you start at the lowest setting, vape. If it doesn't do it for you, turn it up a little, vape. Keep repeating that until you get a slight burnt taste. Turn it down a bit and you've found your sweet spot for that juice. Here's a link to a post I made not too long ago with links to where you can get it. The Vapor Talk store that drives this forum is wonderful and has only genuine brand names, no knock offs, and the lowest prices for gear on nearly all things vapor related. Some things are slightly higher but you won't find many. And no. I don't work for the store. I'm just a very satisfied repeat customer. Great customer service as well.

I just use photobucket or image shack. Upload to it and get the direct link to put into the post.

This is not an "I told you so" but we hear about things like this from people who bought hardware from eBay quite often. That's why we never recommend eBay as a vendor for e-cigarettes.

EVERYTHING needs a back up, not just the obvious like batteries, tanks, coils, juice... Chargers of every kind need back ups as well as ohm meters and torches.
-
Dry hits like you've noted could mean that your juice is 70 VG and 30 PG. If that's the case it could be the way you're vaping. Are you taking long, SLOW draws? That might help. Just a thought.

Is your battery variable voltage? Does it have a bottom that you can twist to adjust power? If not, it's probably a standard 3.7 volts. From what I could find out, a KPT2 mini comes with 2.5 ohm coils. Those would not be a good fit for only 3.7 volts. 2.5 ohms would perform better with higher voltage depending on the kind of juice you're using. 70/30 would probably indicate 70PG/30VG. Most often (but not always), the first number is for PG, the second for VG. The combo you have, if it's PG/VG, would mean the juice is thinner, PG is a great flavor carrier, VG produces vapor and makes the juice thicker, doesn't wick as well as thinner juice. Hardware is changing very quickly these days. I can see how it would be a little mind boggling coming back in after seven months. Can you put up a picture of our battery? That might help...

You don't mention what kind of battery you have or the resistance of coils you're using. The PG/VG ratio of your juice might also be a culprit to burning out your coils. Can you give us a bit more info so we can help you?

From Rixter's rec I bought a 30 ml bottle of Blue Dream from Vape Escape. It's supposed to be a coconut/blueberry flavor and it just came in today. It smells soooo good!

Blu!!! Good to see you. Jeff's still around but he's been quieter than usual these days. Hope to see you back more often.

Aspire Nautilus Cisco Spec HH Replacement Coils
Tam replied to jasonculp's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
The mesh surrounding the bottom of the coil is much like what's inside the HH.357 direct drip atomizers I use. Don't know why it's there, though. From my experience with Avid Vaper's coils, they do take awhile to break in. You might've given up just before it got to its peak. Give it a little more time and see what it does. -
Now cyber criminals use E-cigarettes to spread malware
Tam replied to copper's topic in General Vape News
Just another reason why wall chargers should be used and e-cigs should not be plugged into your computer. Thanks for the link to the article. -
Get your guitar out, Bebop.

Next time you go out, leave your Spinner at home and take the other "little white thing" with you instead. Hope you find your Spinner so you'll have another back up. Many of us have "been there, done that", which is why we sing the "back ups" song. Others of us are just predisposed to being paranoid about running out of anything that getting back ups is just second nature.

No, unfortunately, I did not say "flan". What I said was FLaN, which is an acronym for Feels Like a Nut aka Almond Joy. A flan flavor is basically just a custard type. In my opinion, Custard's Last Stand from Nicoticket is the best custard flavor I've ever tried.

Don't have a stillare but on my RDA I just use a long stainless steel drip tip. The length keeps the juice from getting inside my mouth.

My first battery was an eGo-T pass through. It's a good, solid battery and a great place to start. Welcome to Vapor Talk.

Also keep in mind that if you're using tanks, it's best not to go more than 70 VG max or your coil will have trouble wicking the juice and you might get dry hits. The more VG = more vapor but it also means thicker juice.

You're still semi-new to all of this. After a while you'll find what works best for you and you'll be content to stay put for the most part with only an occasional purchase outside of restocking what works. That's what I'm hoping for anyway.

You say that like it's a bad thing. You can never have too many back ups.

Earthling is wise... I, too, would suggest going up to at least 18 mg of nic. When I used to smoke I'd go through a pack of Marlboro Lights per day. That's roughly around 12 mg of nic equivalent. When I started vaping, I used 24 mg to get me off analogs. After a few months I went down to 18, then to 12. For the most part I vape 12 mg on a regular basis but keep 24 mg juice for those days when I need more or can't vape as much. At night I switch down to 6 mg so I can sleep easier but then that's because I also tend to chain vape in the evenings. You'll find what works best for you with a little trial and error.

The lemon meringue from The Vapor Room is good but it's a pretty subtle flavor. Not sure if that's what you want.

Shiny? Did someone say shiny???

We have several new vapers on the forum who have just experienced how much of a difference a quality battery and tank and juice will make for the quality in vaping. I'm with Bebop. Spend a few dollars more, get the quality and see how much of a difference it makes. You won't have to "try" to quit smoking anymore.
