My dad, 72, quit smoking cold turkey when he was in his forties. When I turned in my cigs and started vaping, he was curious about it and asked me if they made anything that tasted like cigars but with no nicotine. I told him about some cigar flavored juices I'd heard about that were nic-free, and he now "cigar-puffs" EC Blend's Cuban Gold 0-nic for taste only.

Here's a little something from Wikipedia's Electronic Cigarette page that I found very interesting:

"Research carried out at the University of East London on the effects of using an electronic cigarette to reduce cravings in regular tobacco smokers showed that there was no significant reported difference between smokers who inhaled vapour containing nicotine and those who inhaled a placebo vapour containing no nicotine. The report concluded that although electronic cigarettes can be effective in reducing nicotine-related withdrawal symptoms, the nicotine content does not appear to be of central importance, and other smoking related cues (such as taste or vapour resembling smoke) may account for the reduction in discomfort associated with tobacco abstinence in the short term."

    Hmmm.

I can relate to what that Wiki info is talking about. Part of the whole reason I won't go back to standard resistance is because I just can't seem to get that big beautiful cloud of vapor with a SR atty. If I'm vaping, I gotta see the cloud Otherwise, a hit is just not satisfying for me. Weird, I know.

Lately I've been vaping about 3-5 mls of 6mg per day. How that relates to what I was getting for nic when I was smoking a pack per day of Marb lights, I have no idea. Some days I chain vape at work, just because my boss doesn't care, as long as it's not in view of the public. And at night when I'm hanging out on the computer, I pretty much chain vape. So yeah, I vape pretty constantly all day long lol. It wasn't as bad when the only battery I had wasn't a pass-through. At least I would take a break when it was charging. Now, I have a pass thru and no excuse to put it down :P

That's called "vapers' tongue", and it happens to all of us from time to time. My advice to you is to drink plenty of water because it's said that vaping dehydrates the body to some degree. I've noticed that if I take a drink of ice water just before a vape, it brings out the flavor of my juice a lot more.

I second that. At just $24 shipped, it really is one of the best eGo-style VVs I've come across. Its 1300mAh battery lasts a really long time between charges, and it's shorter than most batteries half its capacity. If only it had a USB charge port and I didn't have to use an eGo charger, it would be the perfect battery for me...I hate having to remove my juicers to charge it.

I started vaping on April 8, 2012, and since then, I've tried out variations on just about every new juicer that's come down the pike . IMO, if you want the same vape every time, nothing beats a good ol' freshly filled Boge carto for consistency and simplicity.

It's sort of like the McDonald's cheeseburger of juicers...it may not be as fancy as the other stuff out there, but with the Boge carto (and the McDonald's cheeseburger), you know what you're gonna get every time...a good quality vape (err...cheeseburger).

In light of Phil Busardo's recent discovery about some bad T3s out there, I'm looking forward to the buyers of the new MT3s keeping us posted about their performance.

By the way, the Vision Spinner set at it's max of 4.8v combined with a 3Ω Boge carto rocks! At just south of 8 watts, it's a good setup for new vapers to get started on without too much risk of popping coils.

I think that what puts new vapers off more than anything is a first rig that produces very little vapor. Let 'em see what it can do right off the bat, and then show them that it can be adjusted down if it's just too much for them to handle, instead of starting weak and then saying, "Wait! It can do more!"

I bought one for my wife a few weeks ago and it's really turned out to be a great PV. IMO, it's the perfect size. The diameter, being slightly larger than standard eGos, gives it a more substantial feel, and it's not so long as to make it look like a drumstick when it has a clearomizer attached.

The best part, though, is how long the thing lasts between charges. The 1300 mAh Spinner is definitely an all-day PV.

We got hers at VapeLite for $21 + $3 shipping. They're out of the black and the chrome versions, but they do still have some white models available at the time of this post. Word has spread quickly about VapeLite.info recently, so they're selling out of a lot of the hot items quickly, but Paul emailed me today that he's got orders arriving soon.

Thankfully, I'm good at thinking outside the box. After knocking over my eGo batteries just by looking too hard at them I got some toothbrush holders that hold them and work nicely. The next thing was to organize my ever growing collection of e-liquids. At first they kinda piled up on my desk. Then, I started putting them into little plastic boxes.

    Piled up on my desk.

With the way it was I couldn't tell what flavors they were until I pulled them out and looked. That wasn't working so well for me. So, I started looking around and found these nifty nail polish racks and it came in this week. My SO put it up on the wall for me today and...

These are nearly all of the bottles I have with the exception of maybe one or five. Yes, I'm either going to need another one or I need to get busy and vape some of these bottles empty. I'm thinking the latter option is preferable.

EC Blend has Kretek Blend: "A smooth warm tobacco with a sweet clove Flavor. 09/23/11 We have made this Flavor taste more like a true clove cigarette, even down to the tongue numbing effect of clove."

They have several size, strength, and blend options available, and some of the best prices around. I, like many vapers here at VT, have used them repeatedly and remain a satisfied customer.

If you like to fiddle with things to adjust and customize I'd recommend EC Blends. Each flavor comes with some type of customization options. I've bought e-liquids from quite a few different vendors and lately I've bought everything from EC Blends. They have excellent customer service, a wide variety of juice flavors and 5 ml bottles so you can sample without having to buy large quantities that you might not like.

Just checked and they have several clove flavors there, too.

Personally, I love my eGO style batteries. My Vision Spinners are getting a LOT of use these days (900 mAh and 1300 mAh). As you go along you'll find what works best for YOU. Everyone's preferences are different so you'll want to take everyone's suggestions and find the best liquids and batteries that make you happy.

I have tried a lot of different versions of RY4, which was originally made by Dekang, and in my opinion, Dekang's RY4 is still the best (of what I've tried). According to old-school RY4 vapers, the recipe has changed since the original product was introduced, but it remains a very popular juice nonetheless. I get mine from here when they have it in stock...it's an 80PG/20VG blend.

If you want a comprehensive list of what's out there (with ratings), try this link, this link, or this link (from another forum). Oddly missing from the "Really Big RY4 Roundup" list is Dekang's RY4.

Man, how I wish we were neighbors so I could come over and bring a couple of VV/VP mods with me, have some coffee with you, and vape on your favorite juice using my PVs...carto tanks, too. Not that they're any better than what you use, but they do have some pretty nice convenience features. I could vape on your mods and see what I'm missing, too.

Yup. I used to use the 1.7Ω SmokTech Resurrectors a lot, but once you scorch 'em, they stay scorched. Boges are a lot more forgiving if you run 'em dry...just fill 'em back up and "cigar puff" 'em a couple of times...back in business.

I actually found a method for getting the VG juice to absorb quickly into the filler material. I drip a few drops on top of the material and just blow lightly into the carto and the juice goes right in. after you initially get the filler material soaked dripping into them actually works without much trouble. my boges have been working great today!

I just got two 5pks of Boge XL LR Cartomizers in a couple days ago. I also vape 100% VG - I order from Johnson Creek, there mixed with ionized water, and Dripeez, which is mixed with distilled water. I mostly syringe fill them at home, but drip when I'm out. Boge cartomizers are the best. I've tried Smoktech, but every cartomizer gave a burnt taste. I tried Clearomizers and tanks, and smoktechs, nothing worked until I ran into Boges. Like NYC said, find what works. Ego-C twist batteries with Boge XL LR Cartomizers is what works for me.

Agreed. Both are essentially the same regarding quality and performance. Personally, I do think that the Spinner is a better choice than the Twist only because the voltage markings are easier to see than the ones on the Twist. Also, the Spinner's voltage dial is knurled, which makes it easier to turn than the smooth dial on the Twist.

Kanger MT3 Replaceable Clearomizer with viewing window (Bottom Coil) - $5.99

The link above is to Carolina Vapes, and they only carry the chrome and the black versions so far.

The Kanger MT3 is the same thing as the Kanger T3 but with a slotted metal sheath around the tank. The T3 was the winner of Phil Busardo's recent Clearomizer Shootout.

another great vendor for leo's is ecigarsenal.com

i too loved my leo's. i had a few, one boge and one innokin. they really were great batt's but what probably killed most interest is it was all proprietary threading. while most vendors were inventing new delivery systems for 510/ego threading. having to buy an adapter was not what people were interested in.

the new leo pro is 510 threaded in case you were wondering. it's made by innokin the makers of the itaste and itaste mvp. solid batt from what i've heard.

welll guess I am # 3 post lol have been using my EVIC since last friday . I think it is great . I use it with a viva nove and 1.8 coil with no problems . have also put a 2.4 ohm vision on it and a couple different caro tanks all worked well . set on 4.8 volts and 14.1 watts with the viva nova it is my sweet spot . it is a lot lighter than my vamoo and a bit shorter . it is about the same weight as a lava tube .
all the trick menu,s are fun lol but not a lot of usfull info .... I dont care how many times I have puffed etc but it is kinda neet
Performance wise it is great , with the above mentioned setting and a 2600 mah battery that comes with it it will last almost 2 days on a charge , but I have been charging it every night . I puff a lot so those are good figures for comparison a twist set on 4.2 v and with a vision 2.4 my between charge time is about 8 to 10 hours
Great product IMO well made and with the computer hookup about as hi tech as there is out there
