    Good story...

    Clouds are part of the culture, I guess. My favorite B&M by me can get cloudy but not alk the time - maybe half the time I go in there there is a small group at the bar clouding it up. Ive wondered why they don't do fans but the truth is most dont think the clouds are a problem, lol. Truth is, cloudy or not, they greet me warmly, remember my name and what juice I bought, and their attention goes right to servicing me. They are very good about it. I never feel put off or "not in the club". They respect all vapers. I find that is a rarity, though. But it is why I never go to another shop.

    Welcome and congrats on the year long cig free.
    So much mis-information is being spread that it is as dangerous to us as cigarettes themselves.

    Hello everyone, never wanted to quit smoking (liked them too much) but due to other loved one's around me and knowing that one day they would probably get me, I went to a vape shop and started vaping, haven't picked up a cig in a year, has really been no problem for me (amazing since I smoked so much) can still be around smokers and I don't crave one, the smoke dosen't even bother me, still get to smoke without all the bad stuff in it. Started at 24mg and am now down to 9m. My question is what do y'all think about all the media hype on how it is just as bad as cigs for you, I don't believe it because I breath better and quit coughing about a week after I started!!

    My girlfriend's dad has been smoking for the better part of 50 years. Not only a long time smoker but he smokes those "Santa Fe" little cigars/cigarillos or whatever they are called. Just hardcore stuff. 1.5 to 2 packs a day... He suffers from COPD. He gets out of breath very easily and it takes him a while to recover when he gets worked up. He's not on permanent oxygen but he's probably not far from it. Last week he was out shopping with us and after dinner, the walk from the restaurant door to the car got him very out of breath and he was breathing heavy for at least 10 more minutes after the 2 minute walk to the car.

    After we dropped her parents off at their house, I talked with my girlfriend about it and suggested that we try to get him on vapor instead of smoke. She said he'd never go for it because he'd never shell out the money for the equipment to get started because he's tight. He smokes those Santa Fe smokes because they cost less than $20 for a carton.

    That being the case, I decided to buy him some gear to try out. I got him an eLeaf iStick like mine and a Nautilus tank. I got him a 30ml bottle of Space Jam "Eclipse" at 24mg to get him started. We dropped by his house about 430pm this afternoon and I showed him how to work it. He had seen me using mine before and was a bit curious about it. I showed him how to refill the tank, fix any 'gurgling' that might occur, showed him how to not get juice in the wrong places when he fills it, how to hook it to his phone charger at night to charge the battery and got him puffing on it before I left. Since I'm making my own e-juices, I think he's interested in making it work for him since I told him he could essentially smoke for free because I'd keep him in the juices. I also discussed with him how I have switched from analogs to vapor and worked my way down the nicotine chain from 18mg liquids to 4mg liquids in just 2 months time. He knows I'm breathing and feeling better because I have started dieting and exercising again, which includes running that I could never do when I was smoking with 'smoke.'

    We called my gf's mom about 9pm to see how it was going. She said he hadn't smoked an analog since he started puffing vapor and he would have normally had 10 or more during that time.

    I'm hoping this will be a success story!

    I am too old to even remember yesterday but having smoked for 50 years and getting away with it healthwise - hopefully - I still cannot believe that I have stopped - I smoke my ecig the same way as I smoked a cigarette and the first draw of nicotine in the morning is awesome I have learned that smoking a real cigarette is the most wasteful way of getting nicotine - and it took me 50 years to find out

    Well let me be the one to stop the confusion.
    BVC= Bottom Vertical Coil
    BDC= Bottom Dual Coil
    Those are the two coil types offered by Aspire
    the vertical coil is just that, a coil in the center of the assembly that runs from bottom to top with wicking wrapped around it.
    the dual coils are laid in the assembly horizontally at 90 degrees from one another.
    the bottom vertical coils were reworked lately and they use cotton and the juice flow holes are larger than the original.

    and the one acronym that no one likes is IRS.

    jonnoh reacted to DarthVaper in Looking for advice on a new PV
    Hi all, long time forum veteran Darth Vaper here. Sorry I haven't been on the forums so much lately. I kinda settled into a groove with my Vamo v.5, my Kanger AeroTech tank and making my own eliquid. I haven't been keeping up with the new tech at all.

    The Vamo is working just fine for me, but it's too big and awkward to carry around when I go out. I have been using, (and don't laugh) eGo 900 mAh batteries (no, not even the VV ones) and an Evod BCC when I'm out and about.

    But the eGo batts are starting to get old and not hold much charge anymore. I'm looking for suggestions for a nice mod that fits well in the hand, is easy to use while driving and fits discreetly in a jacket pocket. The battery can be built-in or take protected batteries, doesn't matter. I generally like the EVOD tank, so something that would work with it or a similar tank is what I want.

    Not really into the whole sub-ohm thing as I don't understand it. I want something that's pretty low-maintenance, too - I haven't gotten into rebuildable atomizers, although I expect it's the next step (I mean hey, I'm already making my own juice!).

    I love this forum because you guys/gals always give great suggestions. I look forward to reading them!

    In other news, March 3rd will mark SIX YEARS since I last smoked an old stinky! I feel like I owe my life to the invention of e-cigarettes, because I never thought I'd be able to quit tobacco.

    Cheers all!

    BDSM... _ock and _all Torture (fill in the blanks, lol)

    There. A four letter acronym. Just kidding, Jonnoh. I'm with you. The acronyms in general, three letters or more, just need to go. Although I dislike most of them, CBT (Corporate Business Training? Communication Building Team?) I can never remember what that one stands for in the business world. My mind goes immediately south and it always makes me break out in juvenile giggles. That one I don't mind, purely on an entertainment level.

    So, you're going to become a member of Acronym Elimination Coalition ... the AEC?

    I'll put my opinion out there... not a fan of the BVC... I've been through a box already and have yet to be impressed. Gurgling and leakage aside, they didn't last as long as the BDC that came with my Nautilus, and the flavor diminishes quickly as the coil gunks-up... even with thinner, clearer juices, the coil gunks-up fast, and if the juice is not molasses-thick, they gurgle and/or leak if you leave it sitting overnight or even for a few hours.

    Now, my dissatisfaction may be due to the Nautilus, itself... but I won't be buying anymore coils for it, and I'll likely pay it forward someday... someone else might have better luck with it?
