  1. I'd get used to buying online and order ahead of time. There are too many good juices and products to limit yourself to one shop -especially if it's a smoke shop selling one off-brand ecig. With that said, there are a lot of great vendors in the community where you can find everything you need. Good luck and welcome to VT!
  2. REO grand w/ LR atty (3.7) or Marks mod at 6v. Cherrywood all day long. Some Boba's as a treat, but I'm out right now.
  3. I have a new dual coil sitting here too. Thought about putting it on my REO, but that seems dumb. ...going to throw it on an ego and see how long I can go before I have to drip on it or refill (like an atty). The dual coils did seem to produce some nice vapor though.
  4. I had no idea! I listened to a couple the other day and it's damn good! ...still have the link open to finish listening later. The first song doesn't load for me.
  5. Welcome to VT! (The no drama forum)
  6. Nice chart! (except they are all rated a "D", and I'd be leary of buying invisible ejuice! ) ...Seriously- good find!
  7. What Fran said! The easiest way to learn is to get your pv, lots of juice samples and some cartos and attys. You will likely be comfortable with an 18-24mg nic to start. I still do around 20mg as I enjoy the nic- but you can go down to 0mg as well. Regulation at first can be tricky, but nothing to worry about. You'll likely vape a lot, as it's new. I still vape a lot, because I like it. If your body is getting more nicotine than it's used to, it will tell you in the same way as if you were to smoke too many analogs. It will all come to you rather quickly once you pick up a pv and give it a go. Also check out "LR" atomizers and cartomizers (low resistance). They produce a nice warm vape and a lot of vapers prefer them to the standard res. as they are supposed to simulate higher voltage vaping. Your first purchase should be a minimum of two batteries (with charger, 1000+mah and a pt/passthrough are ideal IMO), at least 2 atomizers and a pack or two of cartos., and at least 30ml or more of different juices. -Be prepared to make another order within a week or so after vaping for backups and more juice samples. The VT store is a great place to start. Good luck, and welcome to VaporTalk!
  8. Ditch those expensive starter kits and try the ego. You won't be throwing away your money and you shouldn't have a need for the chantix, lozenges or anything else after you discover vaping on a good device, with a good juice. Do post up in the introduction section if you haven't and feel free to ask any questions. -We have ya covered!
  9. VV Splash from vapecore for around $45 when they are back in stock.
  10. I've never had any issues when I used LR on my 1000mah ego. You may never go back to standard res after the LR though. It can mute the flavor a bit with some juices, but it's a better vape IMO.
  11. Fred, Post on up in the introduction area and tell us where you are at now and people will steer you in the right direction. BTW- most vapers buy bottle of juice and either fill cartomizers or direct drip. And YES- it works for many many people. Give it a try!
  12. Get genuine Joye Egos. A good warranty is nice to have also- but you shouldn't have many problems with a real ego. I've seen egos with the paint missing from heavy use- but still kicking.
  13. Here's a basic box tutorial with parts list. I'd not use brass for the juice tube though, but it's all pretty basic.... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/95728-tutorial-juicebox-around-8-a.html Make sure to post your pics!
  14. Vape curious? Trying to quit smoking? We're having our every other month vape meet thing going on soon. Stop on by and see what happens chicken wing! (seriously- come check out our tasty vapor and we'll show you for yourself why you won't pick up a smoke ever again!) ...We welcome noobs! Sunday, October 9th, 2pm-whenever The Whiskey Junction , 901 Cedar Avenue, Minneapolis MN - 612 338 9550 We had our last 2 meets there, and the staff are great, we were able to explain vaping to some other customers who smoked, or had loved ones who wanted to quit smoking. It is a friendly, fun atmosphere, the service and food are good, and the parking situation is ideal! The light rail also has a stop right across the street! We will be discussing the location of the December 11th meet, as we would like to find another location to try. Vape meets can be a great way to be a positive introduction to vaping for folks who don't know anything about it! No formal RSVP is needed. ___________ This is a repost for the MN vape meet. Feel free to message me with any questions. Troop
  15. Blow some vape at them and let them try it. Case closed hopefully. If they've ever tried quitting, no doubt they will appreciate vaping. Good luck! Welcome to VT!
  16. Was she a heavy or light smoker? The ego is a great device- and it will perform as needed, but it is a bit bigger than a cigarette. Most people start with a cig look-a-like, but find that the battery life isn't that great for a heavy user. She'll also spend less and enjoy more if she stays away from prefilled cartos and units with proprietary carto/attys. When she does discover that vaping is for her, then make sure she has backups.
  17. You could gift it to a smoker, or try selling it in the VT classifieds.
  18. It's easy to be skeptical when everything else has failed. Glad you found the solution. Congrats and welcome to VT!
  19. Nox is right- if there is an issue, mention it and you'll find a cure most likely. Don't worry if you find yourself getting another PV right away if you do discover limitations that you can't get around. It seems like it's a right of passage to get a very temporary starter unit. You've made the right steps and have the right tools at least. Welcome to VT, and vaping!
