  1. I hope this is allowed.... Melo Tank http://sweet-vapes.com/clearomizers-cartomizers-tanks/eleaf/eleaf-tanks/eleaf-melo-sub-ohm-tank.html $19.95 Mech Mod http://sweet-vapes.com/mechanical/hcigar/hcigar-black-akuma.html $34.95 Battery http://sweet-vapes.com/mod-batteries-chargers/efest/efest-30a-imr-18650-2100mah-1313.html $11.45 Charger http://sweet-vapes.com/mod-batteries-chargers/chargers/nitecore-um10-charger.html $11.95 That is a basic setup with a Mech mod. I have both that tank and the Atlantis and like this one a LOT more and it cost about half what the Atlantis costs. The Kanger Subohm mini costs a touch more but is also highly recommended. You can find things on the bay as well, but sometimes they are hit and miss... I just got a Hades Mod on the bay for 9 bucks shipped... If your struggling and want bigger vapor I would definatly think about a sub ohm tank of some sort. The Melo, Atlantis and Kanger subtank series all have factory coils so you dont have to worry about building coils for them. They will produce awesome vapor and with a higher nic juice should curb the nic need for you. Dont give it up! we can help!
  2. Funny how this always happens. I clean a part of my work shed to do something specific and find all sorts of stuff that had gone missing....
  3. Its an authentic. But I replaced it with a Melo and all is well. I know they all will to some extent due to the hot coil vaporizing liquid, but my atlantis was spitting at least half the tank in my mouth. Melo Coils in the atlantis helped some, but just sing the melo tank helped a LOT more! Sorry OP, didnt mean to go off your topic....
  4. Exactly. this goes for darn near everything. when I was a little one we never heard of a lot of the crimes and crap we do now. But now thanks to the great and powerful Interwebz I can hear what happened in Podunk USA. we are much more exposed to everything world wide now.
  5. I was just curious because I had major issues with my atlantis.
  6. Is its resistance perhaps justa touch off and your Box's arent able to fire at that level? I ask as I have noticed with my Melo that with my replacement coils I bought one was reading at .6 ohm, one was at .4 ohm and one was .3 ohm. if your device can only fire at .5, it may be the issue... On my authentic Atlantis my replacement coil that came with it read .8.
  7. I love my Little Boy. easy to build on and nice deep juice well. Dark horse is good too, but I just like my Little Boy better.
  8. I know its not one that you mentioned, but I love my Sigelei 30w Mini. fires down to .3 ohm and with the replaceable battery lasts and lasts and lasts. I run an Efest 35 amp pattery in mine and with my Melo tank on it ( .5 coil ) it lasts me all day long at work. when I want more I slap my dripper on it and put it in DC-DC mode and its a decent Mech imitation. Feels great in my hands as well which is one of my big issues with most full sized box mods.
  9. Nah, thats the saltshaker mod. Wife took the peppermill mod to work with her that day.
  10. I just got the Tobeco clone of this. built it with dual coils with a combined .5ohms. Not to bad, but there is hardly anything for a juice well. Not happy about that but meh, I think I paid 15 shipped for it. it works, was easy to build on, but that lack of juice well is gonna be a bummer for me. I think tomorrow I may rebuild it with a .2ohm setup and see what the differance is, jst I wont be able to put it on my Sigelei 30W then. it can only fire down to .3. It does have crazy good airflow though....
  11. I think with shipping it was around 25 bucks or just a touch less.
  12. And they seem to work a touch better too. My Atlantis still spits a lot, but the wick holes in he Melo coils are lower so in the Atlantis you can vape it until the tank is darn near empty with out exposing the wicking holes. But this Melo seems to perform WAY better than my Atlantis...
  13. Funny you mention that... I used a small drift punch and knocked the pin all the way through and drilled the holes a touch wider.... If you look closely you can see that the pin is stepped... the narrow portion is what is stick in the hole. I pushed it through with out much trouble, but it may serve you better to go to the hole on the opposite side and drive it the other way. Then I got thinking and grabbed my dremel with a cutting disk and turned the three holes into one slot just like the atlantis... The airflow is great now, slightly better than my Atlantis is. and yes the ring is turned a touch in this pic. the slot in both base and ring match up just fine. Dont mind the Pink bear in the back ground... My Pug needed a Valentines Day gift as well, or so my wife thought...
  14. Exactly! that and there is a pin in one of the air holes that keeps the ring from rotating all the way around. Im going to field strip this thing tomorrow, pull the pin and remove the material between the holes making them slots rather than smallish holes.
  15. So I just got my new Melo RTA in the mail from SweetVapes. love the idea of a sub-ohm that I can use on my 98 mile commute to work. Kinda hard to continuously refill my dripper while driving. I tried the Atlantis, but I couldn't deal with the spitting that I got from it. Someone suggested the Melo, and that the coils from it might work pretty good in my Atlantis. well I had to fill the new tank and give it a shot first ya know? SO compared to the Atlantis it has a slightly tighter draw. I normally ran the Atlantis wide open, this is more like between the second and third setting on the Atlantis. cloud production is about the same as Atlantis. Flavor is darn good pretty much like my Atlantis was. I have Ideas as to how I can free up more airflow in it and I may just try that. Overall I like this tank. but then I have only been playing with it for about an hour. I plan on trying its coil in my Atlantis tomorrow and see if that does anything for the spitting I was getting there.
  16. I went into my local B&M looking for a large wattage Box and a dripper for my "Beginner setup". the shop owner said basically Sorry, but I wont sell that to you for your first setup. he suggested a Twister 2 and a nautilus Mini. actually gave me a deal on a used setup that he was no longer using and threw in a new drip tip and a couple new coils for it. So glad I did that. I now have a mech mod, and a Sigelei 30W that I run my Atlantis, nautilus, and a dripper on. really dont need all the power I thought I did initially. On my dripper my favorite setup is dual coils setup at .8 ohm combined. great flavor, not to warm unless Im chain vaping it, and good to great vapor production. Granted I am an admitted Gear Geek and am always looking for the newest and greatest, but in all honesty this little 30W is perfect for me. I tend to run it around 23.5W with my Atlantis, and sometimes I will bump it to 30 for my dripper. I feel fortunate that my shop guy wouldnt sell me all the high power junk I originally wanted. If he had I doubt I would be 2 months smoke free at this point.
  17. I cant wait to get my Sub tank Mini. Ordered it from the Vapor talk store, but I guess as I was completing the check out process some one else got the last one. Oh well eventually it will get here. In the meantime I will keep fighting with my spitting flooding dry hitting Atlantis... Yea I typed that right... One second it is spitting like crazy, the next I get a dry hit... Hate this tank....
  18. Glad its working for ya.
  19. My suggestion? dont break it until its broke.... I had a great wick/coil running in my RDA... thought the same as you ended up breaking a coil. Never have gotten it to run as good as it was. probably al in my head, but the taste and vapor warmth are different now and the flavor isnt the same. If its working good I would keep running it.
  20. I had the same issue when I first started vaping a month ago... I had bought 12mg juice to start with comming off about a pack a day with a few pipes and a cigar or two mixxed in... it was cough city for me. Using a Nautilis mini and a Vision Spinner 2. how I got past it was I would start dragging on it (puffin, sucking, pulling??) and not hold the button down. I would do a normal drag as if it was an analog and pulse the button. so out of a 5 second drag I would go 2 seconds with no button, then button for a second then no button for another two seconds. Or I would tap the button a few times per drag. but I would always have to start off the drag with no power. this way it wasnt a big hit of vapor. after a few days I could hold the button the entire drag. Also as has been said the flavor and type of juice played a big part in my coughing. I found that the cream type flavors did not induce the coughing as much as say fruit or heavy sweet flavors. Milk and honey is a local mix from my shop and it just tastes smooth and has no throat hit for me. Granted now I am using a dripper on a mech mod but that was the tricks that got me past giving up on this.
  21. you really wanna feel light headed?? try Dripping that 12mg... good god I thought my head was gonna explode. But yea, definatly try a lower MG. I chainvape 3 or depending on the juice sometimes 6. Normally 3. but Im also using an Atlantis with a .5ohm coil.
  22. Well I just bought 3 bottles of it at my local B&M. none of them are "Milky" colored. Im guessing Cuttwood heard us and changed their formula. Edit... Oops. saw the origional date of february... didnt notice it was from 2014. My bad.
  23. But if you cant tell the chick in tight leather dosent want to discuss Cognitive Behavioral Therapy you might have wandered into the wrong place.....
