Just finished this baby. Checks out at 1.1 ohms on the MVP. Should be pretty safe. This is my first build as the guy at the shop where I bought the Freakshow helped me build my first one. Gonna load her up with some Cosmic Charlie's Banana Brulee and see what we're working with.

28 years. Smoked Marlboro reds and Cigarillos for about the last 3 years. I inhaled the Cigarillos as well. Started vaping December 3rd 2013. I have bummed a few smokes here and there and smoked a few Cigarillos as well but I'm not calling myself a smoker anymore.

I have watched this news report several times and every time that I do I think, "Boy that firefighter that is being interviewed sound very dumb.". This gives the impression that everyone in CA is stupid, not that I believe that to be the case.
Looking at the story the facts are flawed if none present at all, except that a mod blew up.
I sent a message to the news station that reported it about my frustration that they can't report on something without knowing about what they are reporting on.
It really infuriates me that the news does this all the time.
In the message I sent I tried to inform them about youtube and all the great reviewer that have good knowledge. The fact that is was not a e-mod-cigarette, but a personal vaporizer. That you cannot smoke one. There is no combustion happening and everything that we already know and understand about our devices. 
 My rant to them was more in the lines of educate yourself before you embarrass yourself.

I just loaded my Nautilus tank with the last of my 1mg solution.  I cleaned out my other Nautilus tank and put a new coil in it.  I'll be switching to .5mg solution later tonight or tomorrow.  
 
This has been a fun journey though.  I smoked my last regular cigarette on December 18th and started vaping 100% with 18mg solutions.  I have cut from 18 to 15 to 12 to 10 to 9 to 8 to 6 to 5 to 4 to 3 to 1 and now to .5 and headed to .25.  Not bad for 3 months.  I have suffered practically NO withdrawal symptoms except for when I first made the switch from tobacco to vapor and those symptoms were minor.  I'm guessing I'll be off the vapor within about two more weeks...

yer Sigelei/Subtank combo is a very nice setup & will give you plenty of enjoyment...
beware hang on to your protank mini & use it as a backup if your goto rig ever fails...

After 27 years of on and off smoking...mostly on, by far, I gave up the analogs 15 days ago in favor of vaping. I tried the convenience store e-cigs a few months ago, (blu), but they simply didn't do the trick. Nasty taste and nowhere near the satisfaction. So I started doing some research and as a birthday gift to myself I took the plunge and went and bought a Kanger EMOW.

As far as satisfaction goes, it definitely does the trick for thoae 65 mil. ecommutes I make between home and work, work and home. It also keeps me going and satisfied during the work day.

I quickly found myself wanting to try different ejuice flavors, so rather than put just a few drops in the stock clearomizer, I went and got myself a Kanger Protank III mini. I love that as well. So that solved the urge to try more flavors in a quicker fashion, and I'm quickly finding flavors that please my palate and flavors I can just ignore.

I also quickly found myself wanting more. I really have no desire to go cloud chasing, but when I drink beer, I quickly found myself wanting more out of my vaping experience, much like with analogs...I smoked more when I drank. I now want to vape more when I drink.

Of course, my inquiring mind led me to even more research, more videos on youtube and more questions. Regulated box mods, RDA's, RBA's, sub-ohm, PG vs VG and the advantages/disadvantages of each. It can definitely be overwhelming to a noob. Thankfully there are a ton of great people here and a ton of great videos and reviews on youtube.

I have now taken the plunge and purchased a Sigelei 100w and a Kanger Subtank mini. For the record, I'm not sold on Kanger, but I haven't been disappointed so far in my youthful vaping experience.

In short...thanks to all the vets here and elsewhere around the web. It definitely makes a seemingly overwhelming world of choices a lot easier to deal with when there is such a vast amount of knowledge at our fingertips.

I was checking out a new B&M, saw this and bought it. Its is a brass GAIA clone by Tesla.  I have to say is IM so happy i did buy it.. 6 out 5 stars, smooth, solid  and hits like a young mike tyson.
I am currently running it in 18350 mode.  i like it so much i may look for a copper version.
 

You probably nailed it Jason... The vape-shop owner will contact a lawyer, and they'll tell them to settle out of court for $10K and his medical bills because vaping is a "fledgeling" industry and there are no precedents to cover the shop.
 
And everyone wonders why our insurance costs for home/auto/life keep skyrocketing!!
 
Sadly, there are precedents of people using a product improperly... stupidity has a price... this guy paid it, and just wants someone to give him a winning lottery ticket... and, since the shop doesn't have the logo for Toyota or Ford or IBM or Pfizer, or DOW or [insert big company name here] on their building, they won't be able to fight it with a team of million-dollar law-firms behind them.  So, yet another stupid person (who isn't so stupid they can't hire a cut-throat ambulance-chaser) will get another lottery win, compliments of our legal system.

I am totally ashamed that this guy is a Texan.  I can't believe this is even going to court.  The news makes very little mention of how it happened.  If you are not familiar with these products you would just think that he was carrying a standard "e-cigarette".
 
Do you think Autozone is going to pay you if you take the battery out of your car and dump the acid on yourself?
 
I guess stranger things have happened and their liability insurance will probably pay out for some undisclosed amount, and the black eye will stay on the Vaping community and this Vape Shop.
