I just can't see wasting good juice, it's not the juice's fault that I have wonky taste buds.

So far I'm still playing around with it adding a little of this, a little of that. About half is gone already due to taste testing.

Vapers are some of the most generous people I've ever met. If someone is truly in need, there's no end to the help vapers give.

I have noticed people who vape help other people who vape. When I deliver parts to my customers is when I see this the most, this one guy gave me a jar full of used KPT coils, I'm slowly rebuilding them and giving them back. Another girl who's husband is in prison and left her to support the kids, (at least she's trying) I always take her 30ml bottles of juice, and tell her she's my new juice guineapig, I think she knows better because they are always her favorite flavor. I have given a lot batteries, and tanks away, and don't regret it. My accountant says I can probably write it off since I'm giving the stuff to my customers employees.

I even thought about having the company name phone number and other info printed on evod batteries and giving them away as advertising, like people do with pens and stuff.

I pif'd my beatup ipv mini v1 and full size nautilus to my trucking buddy. Only because he bought a vape pen kit and left it in a loner rig and never got it back. But he is using it now and hopefully it will help get him off the stinkies...now if i can just get my wife to quit i will be doing great.

Hahahaha that's interesting. Let me know how that goes. It looks simple enough. It should work with all the other clapton style coils as well.

Have you seen this clapton tutorial trick. I used it and it works flawlessly.

Thanks bro. I watched a hell of a lot of tutorials on these bad boys. I've since made a second one in my other subtank mini and it came out really good as well. Next I'll try a fused clapton and see how that goes.

Nice job DragonGunner, that is a hell of a lot better than my first 3 attempts at claptons...lol

Here is my first attempt at a clapton coil (just bought a cordless drill in Iraq). I've always wanted to try a clapton and now I've got my chance. This build is in my new subtank mini v2 with the new rba section. For the build I used a 26ga kanthal core wrapped with 30ga kanthal. 5 wraps around a 5/64 screwdriver came to .67 ohms. I will continue to practice with kanthal (as I have tons of it), but I want to eventually build a clapton with ni200 nickel. This build has awesome and flavor....OMG. I have been missing out here. The vapor production is some of the best I've had in an RTA.

New set of claptons, 24g core wrapped with 26g nichrome...wrapped on a 2.5 mm screwdriver 4 times @0.17 ohms.

Locally, Kanthal (and all wire) is way too expensive, and the cheapest place I've found wire that isn't taking a slow-boat from China is on Amazon.  The last spools I bought were 100+ foot spools, and the most expensive one I've purchased was $6 (shipped free) from Lightning Vapes.  The cheapest was ~ $3 for 30 and 32ga, also from Lightning Vapes.  If you shop on Amazon, you should give them a look for your wire.  Oh, and Selena/Labo brand Organic Japanese cotton is $7 for a HUGE bag, and it is just as good as any of the big-name-brand pads... Comp proved that in his side-by-side comparison tests!  I've had my bag for a year now, and barely made a dent in it, even after giving away dozens of pads to friends
I know $20-30 is hard to come-by sometimes... especially these days... but getting several 100' spools of Kanthal and a big bag of good cotton for that $20-30 will keep you in coils and wicks for the next couple of years...

A little out of the (Incredibly low) price range right now. Check to check, at the moment. Had to pick up a $15 120ml...

I'll get back up there eventually. I've been running the same build for almost a month because I can't even budget wire at this point.

Juices that are sweet and/or dark are very hard on coils. My favorite ADV is a very sweet, dark juice. On a coil that's been known to last up to and over one year, my juice takes it down in about a week or so.

Not a problem there, and they will be fresh. I think the best way for me to add them to the box would be in the form of vouchers. That way the winner can choose the pg/vg and nic. and then I would just ship them from here to them. Provided that it would acceptable.

shen_long86 reacted to vapr in How To Mod The Kanger Subtank Mini RBA Deck?
I modded my subtank deck. You DO benefit from modding this deck if you use a coil of less than 0.3 ohm and want to push 3.6 volts (mech volts) or higher. If you do this you can get dripper-level clouds and kayfun-level flavor in one hit. Awesome. See pic. In the pic you can see where I filed the sides, but you can't see I also filed the juice channels on the base so they are about twice as wide as original. Big holes. Japanese cotton. Never a flood, never a leak, never a dry hit either. Perfection forever, and over and over.

I used a metal file to file away the thin metal case that screws onto the deck, right over the juice channels. I filed away a good amount. Now I pull a little cotton out of these triangular "holes" to start the wicking. I also used the same file to open the original juice channels. Wicks awesome and does not flood.

BUT ITS ALL MOOT NOW because Kanger just came out with a new deck design for the RBA, currently I have only seen it in their kits, but I assume it will soon start shipping with the tank only product. This new RBA deck as the holes on the side, just like the factory cartridge does. This design is what makes the factory cartridge so awesome. And I never understood why the RBA deck wasn't designed the same way. Anyway, once this new RBA deck design comes out there will probably be no need to file away anything.

And the Subtank is the greatest tank ever. I have ditched my drippers, and ditched my 100w box, and I am back to good ol' mech (wotofo VCO clone tube) and my Subtank mini with a filed-out RBA deck, running 24 gauge nickel wire, 1/8" coil, 0.2 ohm. Killa. My friend who used to only drip from a dual 18650 in-series box is now running a Subtank mini on the same box pushing ***7 VOLTS*** into the stock subtonic 0.5 ohm cartridge. WOW. Clouds.
