I have had mine sitting on the old ipv3 with the triple coil.  It makes my other subtanks seem like plastic clearomizers.  I ran it up to 150watts and it still keeps up.  I can't, but the tank can do it. (with 50/50 juice).
I love the experience from the drip tip.  It is so unique. At the high wattages with the airflow open on the drip tip, it doesn't just cool down the vape, it encapsulates it.  It is definitely a totally different type of tank than any other i have used.  I don't think it is the perfect tank for me, but I am glad I bought it. It out performs most of my drippers with the triple coil.

Got my order for four more iStick 50w in from 101 Vapes today. 

I will test that out at 100w when i get home this weekend. And i will report back jason.

I honestly don't know if I am man enough to use it.  I have been reading of people running them near 100 watts all day.

It was a big Vape Mail day for me.
I got a 30 feet of Ti 01 in 28 ga, and 30 feet in 26 ga.
I also got another 5 Ni200 Herakles Coils.
Then I got the BEAST!  I have never seen anything like it.  The TFV4 tank from Smoktec.  I couldn't wait so I didn't take pictures, I wanted to try a Ti coil and the RBA.
I did take some pictures of the coils though.

Just snagged me a sweet mech yesterday for next to nothing from a b&m...copper overdose mod, which i am pretty sure is a clone but dont care. already has a magnetic switch as well and it hits like a freight train. The mutation v4 i got 2 weeks ago, and last night i won a raffle on f.b. for a 100w istick and a tfv4 full kit.

If you truly know your way around a coil, then you'd know if you would have any problems or not with the one you built. Bebop and Earthling gave you some valuable advice: get a meter and more education on building coils, Ohm's law, GET A METER, how to do this safely... 

Not enough info to go on  Are you using Kanthal, Nichrome, Titanium, flat, twisted, ... what?   If using Kanthal... 8 wraps (full wraps) around a 2mm mandrel will be ~1.2 Ohms (which should never be fired at 40W.  Even worse would be if the coil were wrapped on a 3mm mandrel (~1.7 Ohms).   Wrapped on a 1mm mandrel would be 0.7-0.8 Ohms... still nothing I'd push 40W into!!
Power is not everything.... and you must learn proper coil wrapping as well as Ohm's Law if you're going to build.  But before you do anything... BUY A METER!

What is the ohm rating of your coil?

honestly, your post worries me.  It's not that difficult to educate yourself on this subject. Your question reveals that you have more to learn and understand before you randomly start building coils and hope that some guy on the Internet a thousand miles away is going to give you assurance that you're ok.  YOU should know you're ok because you understand how to safely build a coil.  You shouldn't be building coils if you don't know what you're doing just because it's easy to do. You are risking fire or injury to yourself or others. Be smart. Know before you go. It's not worth the risk.
 
You can go to somebody who knows and have them check it out
you can inexpensively get the meter you need to determine yourself 
Read up a little on coil building. There is good info out there.

I got a Matrix sub ohm tank the other day.Adjustable airflow drip tip and it holds 5ml's...So far this thing has been outstanding with flavor and with the airflow drip tip I can run the 0.2 coils at 80w no problem.Very cool vape.I am a really big fan of the Arctic but right now the Matrix has it beat.

Got the Joytech VT today,been using the titanium coil and so far flavor has been great.Not a huge amount of vapor but it produces a respectable cloud.Review coming soon...

Got my 550ft. Of assorted guage kanthal today..now just debating on what builds to do.

I got my ipv mini D2 in today.
I ordered from 101 Vape on preorder.  I am initially disappointed because some people got silicone sleeves and some didn't.  I didn't.  It was still wrapped in plastic, but no cover inside.  I am also not pleased with using a menu to change the temps.  The iStick has me spoiled with the simplicity.  It vapes great, and having the option of using higher power, and removable 18650s is a bit plus.  It is a great size and weight, although a bit heavy for it's size.
