Absolutely LoTR, and if you haven't read the books (including The Hobbit), stop now. Put down your laptop. Run, do not walk to the nearest bookstore. Buy 'em and start reading!

I'm actually envious of anyone who hasn't read them yet: Just imagine, getting to experience it for the first time!!!

Thanks everyone. I'm taking medication that'll throw me into immediate violent withdrawals if I start again so that helps. Between that and wanting to work towards a better quality of life, and also the support of friends and family make this situation a whole lot easier.

    Thanks again everyone

Since you bought your Atlantis from Sweet-Vapes, it should be authentic. I bought a mini Aerotank from them last year, and the bottom was damaged. I emailed them, sent the tank back, and got a new one. Perhaps there's just a manufacturing defect, or yours is damaged? It can't hurt to see if they'll let you swap it for another.

It would take something pretty awesome to beat the original iStick. Enter the iStick 50w:
•4400mAh battery capacity is enough to keep you vaping all day, if not longer.
•SubOhm capabilities means that blowing big clouds is no problem!

I only trust food-grade or surgical-grade Stainless Steel to touch my juices. I have a Brass RDA and it makes the flavor taste like a bunch of coins in your mouth... Aluminum drip-tips give my juices a harsh metallic taste... For this reason, I won't buy a Kanger Genitank, because they are Chrome over Copper. Chrome naturally Oxidizes over time, which creates a barrier of "Oxidation" (read: clear rust), and I don't trust how that will contaminate my juice or introduce unknown toxins into my system!

At least Aspire has came clean on their issue, but they get a huge thumbs-down from me because they marketed them as ALL Stainless Steel....

I ran as high as 99%VG and had no dry hits, thinner stuff never flooded. The higher the VG the better the cloud.

I really appreciate your review, thank you. This sounds perfect for me; I can't wait to get one. I alternate between an Aerotank V2, and a Mini Aerotank. I bought a simple Mod called an Innokin Cool Fire 1 that takes the same size batteries with the extender I bought. It's rated at 8.5W, but it can't be adjusted. I've enjoyed it; it was good for a new vaper, but it's time to try something new. (I think I'll always use my Spinner 2 for travel.) I can tell you know what you're talking about, and now I feel good about saving up for the Atlantis:)

it's called the Aspire "CF Mod"

It's basically a hybrid mod that is a cross between a mech mod and a ego battery... it turns on and off like an EGO, and has short protection and low voltage protection, but other than that: it works like a mech mod in the fact it fires sub ohm, and gives straight battery power from an 18650 battery.

They also have the "CF Sub" which is for the most part the same thing, but the battery is not removeable and takes a special charger...not ideal in my book because when the battery needs a recharge, the mod is useless until it is charged and you are without a battery for 4hrs vs the CF mod you just have more than one 18650 battery, and swap the battery out of the tube to a fresh battery and throw the other on the charger and you are back in business in a few seconds.

The coils do seem to last a while. She has been using the same coil since christmas eve, and hasn't had any issues with it.

Usually when her tanks stop performing as well or get a funky taste, she will let them soak in alcohol for a couple hours and rinse them off and air dry them on the counter, put them back together and continue using them. She has gotten a good month + out of her nautilus coils by doing this.

Coils usually last quite a while, just wicks end up getting gummed up by the juise residue and need cleaned. silica wicks that these things typically run do not get burned and are burn resistant vs cotton wicks in rebuildable tanks (like my kayfun) burn easily and need changed out regularly to maintain performance and flavor.

Unless you get a bad coil or are having leaking problems, coils usually last quite a while.

the atlantis comes with a spare coil and a spare pyrex glass section of the tank as well.

Bought the gf one for Christmas with the aspire battery tube that takes 18650 batteries. She loves it. She was also shocked at how light it was compared to her nautilus and vamo. Now she's hooked on sub ohm and mech mods lol.

Durability, flavor, and cost... take your pick (or all three)

I regularly use KPT2 (with air-flow bases), AeroTanks, KPT3-minis, and yes... Nautilus.

    Price:
You can buy two KPT2 for the price of a Nautilus and have money left over for air-flow bases or a 5-pack of coils.
All of my AeroTanks were < $15 too, so still half the price of a Nautilus
Coils for the Kangers (BCC/BDC) run 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of Aspire BDC or BVC coils

    Longevity:
Coils for the Nautilus last a bit longer for me, maybe 10-15ml of juice longer, but given they cost 3x more on average, there is zero cost advantage to the Nautilus.
You also hear VERY often about people breaking the glass of a Nautilus... more often than Kanger, and replacement Nautilus glass is more expensive than Kanger... but Nautilus also offers a caged glass and SS tank options too. Kanger has SS tanks available, but for some reason they are not very popular.

    Flavor:
I rank them for flavor in this order: Nautilus > AeroTank > KPT3-mini > KPT2 -- Once you add an air-flow base to the KPT2, there is little difference between the KPT2 and AeroTank, but the AeroTank still has a tiny advantage because of the dual-coil.

Some of my flavors taste horrid in the Nautilus, but are excellent in the KPT2... and the reverse is also found on other flavors, so for me, I use them all, and have specific flavors for specific tanks

It's the best one I've had so far, I've tried a lot, I still mostly vape coffee or tobacco flavors as my all day. I haven't had a kona from anywhere else that tastes as good, even the diy flavors I've tried haven't been as good. I still order it frequently as there are only a handful of coffee flavors I like just as much. Taste is a personal thing so some people may not like it. It has subtle bitter undertone that you may not like, I drink my coffee black so that doesn't bother me.

Well, like my Dad used to say ........"Ain't my day to worry about what other folks are doing" ...... and I have to agree. Bought my initial setup to get away from stinkies, worked quite well, and I've been satisfied ever since. Almost 2 years in and I just upgraded to a Vision Spinner to spin on under my well worn, paint-shy EVOD tanks. Needless to say, I'm not chasing clouds, worrying about keeping up with anyone, or anything else other than keeping cigarettes out of my fingers and lungs. Have no problem whatever with those who do chase clouds (There are a multitude of other much worse activities I could think of), but hope nothing happens that might "cloud" the general publics' acceptance of vapeing.

What I bolded is in my opinion the biggest problem with the "culture" of vaping today. The main objective is staying off analogs and improving your health and quality of life. A very small minority see it as a $%#@ measuring contest and push the equipment to the limits of safety to see who can blow the biggest cloud. If thats what one wants to do they can go for it but do not think it is the "norm" at all.

I have yet in approaching two years suck vapor directly into my lungs. I know no one personally that does that. I take a drag then inhale and repeat as often as necessary. I hit my e-cig like I would an analog always have.

Best of luck in staying off analogs! I will be two years in April and have never felt better!

I'm new at this concept of vaping, the equipment, and the 'culture' of it all. I'm learning about it as I go. This forum is introducing me to a lot of new 'culture' and concepts. My visits to my local vaping shop is helping also.

As a person who started vaping to replace cigarette smoking, I'm seeing some things that simply strike me as 'extremely different' in the technique of 'smoking.'

As a smoker, I would simply take puffs from a cigarette into my mouth and then inhale the smoke. I never took long slow drags from a cigarette directly into my lungs. I never really noticed if my fellow smokers were doing that either when smoking together. In the vaping community (I first noticed this on my visits to the local shop) it seems that the long slow direct inhale technique that produce these huge clouds of vapor on the exhale is the norm. When I go into my local shop, there are usually 3 or 4 people in there and it's literally like a fog bank inside the store and since the weather is cold, the shop storefront windows are usually fogged over!

The more I read here about 'mods' and special builds on the battery equipment, I think the huge vapor cloud is the main objective. Maybe someone can educate me on the differences or gains to be had with this technique? I have experimented with these long direct inhale drags on the vaporizer, but just being a week or so off regular cigarettes, I can still gag myself with the vaporizer...
