Vinegar will etch the metal (eat into it) given enough time and strength of solution. It WILL cause threads to lock-up further.

Brass is high concentration of Copper mixed with Tin (and sometimes other metals), but Brass and Copper react similarly to heat... only Copper is affected more.

Try taking a wet towel, place it in the microwave until it is steaming... wrap it around the tube and let it get the tube good and hot... then touch the cap to some ice-cubes for a minute or two (while the tube is still wrapped in the hot towel)... that should do the trick to allow you to unscrew them...

The best luck I have had with similar situations is to use both hot and cold water (or ice) to independently heat and cool the two part that stuck. I know that may not be easy, but do the best you can.

Assuming that one part is male and the other is female, heat the female part while cooling the male. This causes the male part to shrink slightly and the female to expand, thus loosening the connection.

If all else fails, check the phone book for a machine shop nearby. They will have it off in no time.

I do the same thing. I've basically run out of motivation to build. I've fallen into the same routine. Build my 5 wrap parallel, vape it for a couple months, try a build that just doesn't work out, go back to parallel.

indeed, I have been rocking the same build for about 2 months without changing it, but if it's not broken don't fix it.

Just spent WAY to much. I ordered 2 Efest 35 amp batteries, Intellicore D4 charger, brass Nemesis clone and a copper Mutation X to go with my Fuhattan, a Sigelei 100 watt box mod and 2 Chuff clone tops.

I just received a new tank for my Nautilus Mini and an Eleaf iStick.

I really have not had much of a chance to play with the iStick yet, but so far I really like it! It is tiny! It really seems to run hotter than my MVP. 11 watts is hotter on the iStick. I have ran it up to 15 watts, but so far this is a little hot for my juice. I will post a new topic when I learn more about it, if anyone is interested.

This may sound nuts, but I've cleaned the crud out of firing buttons of flashlights and similar items using tablet Denture Cleaner soak for 20-30 minutes to loosen the crud, and then an old toothbrush to clean the threading areas and crevices I also always soak or rinse in 90-100% alcohol to aid in water removal (removes mineral deposits left by air-drying just water rinses).

I don't know what it will do to brass or copper (discolorations), but it works well for aluminum and SS I wouldn't think it would damage brass/copper... but use at your own risk (or test a "real" copper penny or brass trinket)

I really have not been using mods very long. I don't have much experience with any mods except the 2 that I own.

First I guess I should make sure you are using an ohm meter and have studied up on ohms law.

The Tobh is a good RDA to start with. I have 2 and I really like them. As for the mod, I would really look around for something that gets good ratings. I really like the magnetic buttons myself. The 1:1 Nemesis seems to be a very popular choice. I really like my 4nine, but it is a little scarey with it's hybrid top. The positive pin of the atty must extend to make contact with the battery. If the center part does not extend enough it will cause a direct short. It is also picky about battery length, there is no adjustment except for using the center pin of the atty and/or small magnet spacers. My other mod is a GP Paps clone. It is fair, but it took a lot of filing, fitting, and adjusting to make it work at all. I got both of these for under $20.

I also have not had good luck running tanks on them. I like a little more power. With a 1.8 ohm atty it will only be 9.8 watts in the beginning, and will slowly go down from there. I like the consistent power of an electronic box.

I am sorry I am not more help!

i honestly think that the hardware in those justify the higher price-point. but hey thats just the way i see things. some people justify buying 250$ jeans, never in my life i would do such a thing. call me cheap! but i will spend over 250$ on a nice supper with the wife. to each his own!

It is probably better to tell us what you are looking for in a mech mod too (i.e form factor 18350/18650/26650, copper or stainless, telescopic or tube, spring loaded vs magnetic switch, etc). What others find a good or great mod may not be the same criteria as what you have in mind, and it will leave you unhappy with our recommendation.

If you clear coat it, make sure you don't get ANY on any of the surfaces that mate like the threads or where the pieces meet. You have to get the conductivity of metal to metal. Even anodizing screws up the conductivity.

Yep, what comp said. Momentary switches are usually rated for 3-5 amp so running a MOSFET with a 15k resistor with allow the amps to bypas the switch. You can stack MOSFET too. One 3034 MOSFET can handle 195 amps, 2 can handle 390 amps.
Face book has a good group called box modders.
If you join read the files and pinned post before asking any questions or you'll be meme'd to death cause all the answers are in there lol

A man after my own heart! I do have a soft spot for hand made boots, but I don't own any (yeah, a headbanger in cowboy boots...smh) I am too cheap. I am over 40 so the fancy jeans are out of the question. I dress nice for work, but if I had my way, Levi's and a T-Shirt would be my wardrobe...lol

I also would spend in the $200 range for a meal for me and my wife, but just not too often!

$200 for a mechanical mod... I doubt it. (I won't say never though)

after getting the generic ego with disposable tank I went and got myself the EMOW starter kit. adjustable airflow, voltage, not too big, decent tank capacity. I couldnt ask for more... and the price point was 75$. the disposable and ego set up came out to 60 with 2 bottles of juice... i would of much rather spend the 75 on a good starter kit!

You perfectly described a similar conversation my brother once had with his doctor... although he was confused how he was supposed to take his meds... the doctor told him he was not to take them at the same time (meaning both every 4-hours or both every 6 hours)... one pill every 6 hours, and another pill every 4 hours.

But, since both would be taken at the same time every 12th hour, if he started at 6am (thinking they COULD NOT EVER be taken together), he spent 30-min arguing with the doctor...

The doctor finally gave up and told him to take the 6-hour pill at 0600, noon, 1800, and midnight... and the 4-hr pill at 0630, 1030, 1430, 1830, 2230, and skip the 0230 dose!

AND, after he finally grasped that concept, he then over-stressed about how he was going to take them if he's sleeping
(Worst part... he was 38-yrs old at the time!)

Growing up, I honestly hoped one of us was adopted (I still tell everyone he was)
